Midland Eye is a specialist private ophthalmology clinic based in Solihull, established over 20 years ago by four Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeons with a shared commitment to providing high-quality, specialist eye care.
Our experienced Consultant Ophthalmologists provide diagnosis, treatment and surgery for a wide range of eye conditions, including Cataracts, Glaucoma, Macular conditions and other specialist ophthalmic needs.

I recently had clear lens extraction after wearing glasses for nearly 50 years and contact lenses for 40 years. The whole process was really smooth, excellent advice and treatment and very professional. Prof Shah was amazing, explained everything really well and answered all my questions, very reassuring and felt in very safe hands throughout. The procedure has been life changing and a much better outcome than I expected. Exceptional service, very professional and couldn't recommend more for this surgery.

Amazing! Absolutely amazing! I could not be more happier! From the initial constitution through to both surgeries and the follow up appointments, I can not fault the team at Midland eye especially Mr Barua who explained everything clearly, put me at ease before the surgeries. I did have some doubts that it wouldn’t go as planned but absolutely amazing it has changed my life also shout out to Kate who kept me updated throughout the whole process and worked really hard, it was a pleasure to deal with Kate! I would definitely recommend midland eye to anyone who is looking at eye surgery as the results have been amazing, and better than I actually expected! All the staff at Midland eye have been so helpful through my journey! It’s a shame it’s come to an end!
First Class attention and service provided throughout every examination, consultation and the surgery itself, which took about 40 minutes for lense replacement of both eyes and with no pain.
