Associate Professor Darren Shu Jeng Ting

Associate Professor Darren Ting is a UK-accredited, dual-trained, clinical academic Consultant Ophthalmologist.
His career began at a young age of 16 at International Malaysia University and
earned his medical degree from the University of Edinburgh in 2009.  

Completing his 7-year Ophthalmology Specialist Training at the Northern Deanery and later obtained his PhD. Dr ting also completed an advanced Cornea, Ocular Surface and Cataract Surgery Fellowship in Nottingham.  

With prestigious academic and dedicated clinical research positions, Dr Ting has received countless academic and research awards. As an academic Consultant Ophthalmologist position in Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (BMEC) and the Birmingham Health Partners (BHP) Clinician Scientist Fellow at the University of Birmingham.
