I am a very active 51 year old man and Mr Atkinson fixed my medial meniscus tear which had been obstructing movement in my leg. After 8 weeks I am back swimming, practicing Yoga 5 times a week (all poses including deep squats and child pose) and I also started kick boxing again. I will be training jiu jitsu again in a week's time. I also climbed the stairs at Highgate tube station this week - all 100 of them - without any pain or locking. I had a very good experience with Mr Atkinson. From initial to final consultation I was very happy with the care given to me. In fact my girlfriend who is also a doctor was very impressed by Mr Atkinson's knowledge on a variety of questions she asked. He was very accommodating of her as well allowing her to talk to him on the phone and with me in my final consultation. I want to thank Mr Atkinson for putting me forward for this care, without this I would be struggling with my physical activities and now I have a new lease of life. Thank you so much.

I travelled by car from the north west to the Kingsbridge Diagnostic Centre, tucked in behind the Kings Hall. Parking was difficult to find, and as the letter instructed me to arrive 15 minutes early, I anxiously clambered out, leaving my husband to park the car while I located the building and the correct floor. The reception staff were mediocre at best, though I did manage to get checked in. Once called through, the procedure itself was completed and an outcome provided. However, the consultant was abrupt and condescending. While I appreciate that private healthcare is under pressure due to NHS waiting times, this is not the standard of service I would expect for something I am paying for. The assistant involved in the process appeared either tired or lacking job satisfaction in their role. Altogether, the atmosphere was dispiriting, and I could not wait to leave the building and be on my way.

I had an excellent experience at Nuffield Hospital Guildford. The hospital was very easy to find, and the reception team were welcoming and efficient. Check-in was quick, and within a few minutes I was seen by the doctor, which was impressive. The facilities were modern and spotless, with a comfortable waiting area and both hot and cold drinks available. The building itself feels contemporary and well maintained, creating a calm and professional environment. The staff were courteous, organised, and clearly experienced, which gave me confidence throughout my visit. Overall, a very smooth and professional experience from start to finish. He is a really kind, empathic man and a true professional; not once did I feel rushed and he understood exactly what I was going through and how to help. I had a suspected kidney stone after suffering intense pain in my back, and Mr Samsudin was able to diagnose this correctly within minutes of meeting me. He helped me to easily understand my options for treatment and after initially trying medication I then opted for a surgical procedure. We went to see Mr Valsamakis about our newborns tongue tie. He was welcoming, friendly and professional. He talked us through our options and was gentle and caring with our newborn. When we decided to go ahead with divided the tongue tie he was made the procedure as painless and gentle as possible. He made sure we had a room to feed afterwards and came to check on us - I got the impression he genuinely carded about us and our newborn.
