I would like to begin by acknowledging the excellent care I received from the doctors during my first visit. Both clinicians went above and beyond, and I felt genuinely supported by them. Unfortunately, this high standard was not reflected in my interactions with the reception and administrative staff. After my consultation, the doctor provided me with a ticket for my next appointment and advised that, in the meantime, I should attend the imaging department for an ultrasound. When I arrived at imaging, the staff were dismissive and informed me that, because I was an NHS patient, they would need to write to my GP for a separate referral. I explained that the doctor had instructed me to have the ultrasound the same day. The staff member responded that if I waited in reception, she would speak to the doctor, adding that “quite often they don’t know how things are done.” I waited for an hour with no update. When I approached the desk to ask for news, the staff member replied, “I’m sorry, I forgot all about you,” and said she would speak to the doctor immediately. After she finally did so, the situation changed dramatically: I was suddenly offered an ultrasound appointment for 11:30 a.m. that same day — just an hour and a half later. It was clear that once the doctor became aware of the issue, the department acted quickly and efficiently, which I appreciated, especially as I live only ten minutes away. The ultrasound itself was carried out professionally, and the doctor performing it was excellent. He explained everything clearly and asked when my next appointment was. When I told him it was scheduled for six weeks later, he advised me to return to the main reception and request an earlier appointment, as his report would be completed that same day. However, when I approached reception, I was dismissed outright and told, “Doctors make appointments six weeks in advance — it is what it is.” Additionally, there was no record of my attendance on their system, only an appointment dated 23 March 2026, which, by their own admission, belonged to a different patient entirely. On reflection, while staff may appear polite on the surface, the reality of my experience was the opposite. The inconsistency, dismissiveness, and lack of coordination created unnecessary stress and undermined the otherwise excellent clinical care I received.

Mr Dimitrios Moschonas

I was a little anxious about my recent Hydrocele Repair Surgery at The Nuffield Hospital in Guildford but the anaesthetist & Mr Moschonas were very reassuring about the operation. Mr Moschonas was very pleasant, calm and professional and explained everything extremely well. My only complaint was the amount of time I had to wait to go down to the operating theatre. I have type-2 diabetes and wasn't allowed to eat after 7am or drink after 11am with an admission time of 12:30pm and a planned operating time of 2pm, but I was kept waiting until 5pm, by which time my blood sugar level was dropping and I was concerned about becoming hypoglycemic. Nobody told me why I was having to wait, which was frustrating! More communication was needed. Finally, I went down at 5pm and was back in my room af 6:30pm after a successful procedure and was allowed to eat and drink at 7pm. I stayed overnight in The Nuffield Hospital and was told that Mr Moschonas would visit me the next morning to check on me before I went home, but this didn't happen. I had several things I wanted to ask hime - disappointing.

Today I attended an appointment to see Mr Jawad Freites, on arrival of my appointment he made me feel very comfortable and at easy with a safe space speak to about my concerns I had been have for around 2.5 years now, he was very understanding and carried out a thorough consultation and examination to enable me to get some answers to move forward with the correct treatment required, I would like to again comment on how Mr Jawad throughout my appointment explained everything to me and again made me feel at complete ease. At the end of my appointment I had got all the answers I had been trying to find along with a full understanding and plan on what was going to happen next and what my treatment options would be. I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable consultant I felt Mr Jawad was extremely knowledgeable in his field and I could not recommend him enough. I felt very heard and understood today and I am looking very positive for my treatment moving forward.

Dr Usman Maqsood

After seeing Dr Maqsood with my parents to get a second opinion today on my mom’s breathing, we had an excellent meeting, we all came out of there thinking this time we are finally on the road of getting some answers. Dr Maqsood is referring my mom back to the NHS and GP for further tests. We felt listened too and he gave us his professional opinion. I wish we had hospital insurance , as I felt my mom was in great hands today and we would get answers and finally we would get to the bottom of my moms health problems. He didn’t rush us and was very experienced. I would definitely recommend Dr Maqsood as this doctor gave us full support and help today in our meeting. Hopefully with his report to my moms GP my mom will be getting the help and tests she needs. Thanks again Dr Maqsood.

Nuffield Health Woking Hospital

I was very happy with the facilities at Nuffield Woking and all the staff were friendly, supportive and efficient - I had a booking in nurse, a physio (providing equipment and advice, ensuring I know how to the equipment safely), someone took my after op food order ensuring my dietary requirments (Coeliac) were catered for, an after procedure nurse who made regular checks and provided discharge advice and a pharmacist, who provided after care medication and advice on dosage and requirements. All of these memeber so staff were very polite, caring and provided clear advice - I felt very well cared for and looked after. Thank you everyone.

I went into my appointment feeling quite worried after experiencing palpitations and fearing that something could be wrong. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and well looked after. The staff were professional, kind, and very calming. I had full blood tests, an ECG, and a heart scan as part of my visit. During the scan, everything was explained clearly, which really helped put me at ease. Being shown my heart on the screen was an unexpected but very reassuring experience. Thankfully, everything appeared to be fine. I left feeling incredibly reassured and much more relaxed.

Much time was taken up by being told things I already know I didn't feel heard . To be fair I didn't say unambiguously upfront what I wanted, a prescription for raloxifene which is the only treatment I'm interested in trying, having thoroughly researched this with information from the ROS and discussion with my GP who is aware of my overall health and medical conditions. I had however checked in advance that raloxifene was something Dr Dubois would consider prescribing. She did not tell until the end of the consultation that she has never prescribed it.

Overall reassuring and understood the approach for myself as a person and could see I was anxious and knew how to deal with this. Did not feel rushed which also helped. One point to raise is that in the follow up letter it mentions my next appointment which is face to face on the 11th March being at the ridgeway hospital, however I have had a confirmation email sent inviting me to attend this appointment at the Manor hospital, so will have to chase up to now see where this is taking place. Overall though very good experience.

I have been twice in a short period of time as l have a bit of an anxiety issue over breast lumps. I was worried about coming again so soon . But at no point did Miss Summerhayes or her team made me feel stupid. In fact the opposite she was sympathetic, kind gave me advice & her bedside manner was just wonderful. Also the consultant that did both my ultrasounds was fabulous too. They made me feel nothing was too much of a problem, made me feel l could come at anytime. I hope the team stay together as they are wonderful. .

I was greeted by a friendly team of staff at Fitness First who directed me to a waiting area, as I was a little early. I then met my Physiotherapist who went through the initial consultation. She was very professional and thoughtful when doing anything during the examination and treatment. She carefully talked me through her findings so that I could understand her diagnosis and treatment requirements. My treatment was with Selene Cavallaro, not with the suggested people on the next question.

This hospital is pleasant to attend. It is clean- including the bathrooms and baby changing areas which are spotless. There are several small but well stocked indoor play areas for children which make a huge difference when entertaining them between appointments/ diagnostics. The on-site cafe is welcoming and extremely reasonably priced. Staff are always friendly and look happy to be there. Most importantly, appointments run on time and there is ample free parking on site.

And also met me at short notice and performed the operation very soon after the initial consultation. Whilst I hope I don’t have to have another operation, I would have no hesitation in returning to Mr Wilson.
