About Mr Edward Saxby
Mr. Edward Saxby is a highly experienced Consultant Oculoplastic and Ophthalmic Surgeon based at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. He specialises in both functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery. Mr. Saxby grew up in Devon, England, and qualified in 2012 from the University of Bristol. After completing his foundation training, he spent a year as a clinical fellow in the renowned Bristol plastic surgery department, gaining valuable experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck.
Mr. Saxby then went on to complete specialist ophthalmology training in the South East of Scotland, followed by sub-specialty training in oculoplastics, lacrimal, and orbital surgery at the prestigious ophthalmic units in Edinburgh and Cambridge. Since then, he has built a busy practice, specialising entirely within eyelid surgery. This includes surgery for eyelid malposition e.g. blepharoplasty, ptosis, entropion or ectropion correction, eyelid lumps and bumps, and watery eyes.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Saxby is passionate about medical education. He is an associate fellow of the Higher Education Faculty and has led both national and international courses on eyelid surgery, teaching fellow surgeons worldwide.
