Dr. John Kingswood is a Senior Consultant in Renal Medicine and Hypertension, providing expert care at the Sussex Nuffield Hospital. He was the senior kidney physician at The Royal Sussex County Hospital with decades of experience, and has recently retired from NHS practice in Sssex but continues to also work in the NHS at St Georges Hospital in London. Dr. Kingswood is widely respected for his clinical expertise, academic contributions, and commitment to patient-centred care.
After qualifying in medicine from Guy’s Hospital in 1977 (MBBS, MRCS LRCP), he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 1994. His dedication to advancing medical education led him to complete an MSc in Medical Education at the University of Brighton in 2012.

I have been seeing Dr.Kingswood for the last three years after being diagnosed with low kidney function. He is extremely kind to someone with “white coat syndrome “explains everything that I should be aware of. Recently he has suggested weight loss injections as I find it difficult to lose weight I was also pre diabetic. This is beginning to show great results with weight loss and the overall BP readings. Again Dr.Kingswood has explained the benefits and the drawbacks to be aware of.
