Dr Masud Haq

Dr Masud Haq is a leading Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Medicine based in London, Kent, Sussex & Belfast.  With over 30 years of experience, he is renowned for his expertise in managing patients with diabetes and endocrine problems, and has a particular interest in thyroid (including T3 treatment), menopause, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and weight loss treatments.

Dr Haq trained at Guy's and St Thomas' Medical Scool, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, and St.Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne.  He qualified in 1995 with distinction, and then trained at several centres of excellence including the Royal Brompton, St.George's and Atkinson Morley's Hospitals.  He was awarded membership to the Royal College of Physicians in 1998 (MRCP).

During his training, Dr Haq completed research in thyroid disease at the Royal Marsden Hospital and was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) in 2007.  His work led to several national and international presentations and is widely published.  On completion of his training, he attained dual accreditation in diabetes, endocrinology and medicine in 2006.

Dr Haq was awarded a Fellowship to the Royal College of Physicians in 2010 (FRCP) and a Diploma to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015 (DRCOG).

Dr Haq was Clinical Lead of his department from 2012-2020, during which time he developed a new integrated community diabetes service in West Kent.  In recognition of his work, he was a double finalist at the National HSJ Value awards in 2021.  In 2022, Dr Haq received first prize for a Quality Improvement project at his NHS Trust.  He was also awarded winning presentation at the King's College Quality Improvement conference the same year.

After further training, Dr Haq was awarded to become a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators (MAcadMEd) in 2024.
