Dr Masud Haq is a leading Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Medicine based in Kent and London, with his NHS practice at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. With over 28 years of experience, he is renowned for his expertise in managing patients with diabetes and endocrine problems with particular areas of interest in the menopause, medical obesity treatments, thyroid disorders (including T3 treatment), testosterone deficiency and the andropause.

Dr Haq was awarded a first class honours in Biochemistry in 1992 (BSc Hons). During his medical training, he trained at some of the leading international centres including The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, and St.Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne. He subsequently completed his medical training at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in 1995 with honours (MBBS Hons).  He then trained at several centres of excellence including the Royal Brompton, St.George's and Atkinson Morley's Hospitals before being awarded dual accreditation in diabetes, endocrinology and medicine in 2006.  Dr Haq also completed a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) in 2007 at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Institute of Cancer Research. His research in thyroid disease led to several national and international presentations and is widely published (peer review journals and book chapters).

Dr Haq was awarded a Fellowship to the Royal College of Physicians in 2010 (FRCP) and a Diploma to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015 (DRCOG).

Dr Haq  was Clinical Lead of his department from 2012-2020, during which time he developed a new integrated community diabetes service. In recognition of his work, he was a double finalist at the prestigious National HSJ Value awards in 2021. In 2022, Dr Haq received first prize for a Quality Improvement project at his Trust. He was also awarded winning presentation at the King's College Quality Improvement conference the same year.
