I had my Pre-assessment on 14/91/26 at 09.30. I arrived early because of the inadequate parking at the hospital but was pleasantly surprised to be able to park straight away so, I arrived at 09.00 for my appt. I registered with reception then the nurse, Sharon, called me. Sharon talked me through my Pre-assessment and explained in detail what would happen when I'm admitted for my op. She gave me an ECG, took MRSA swabs and I had my bloods taken. Sharon explained several forms to me and provided Octensian wash and nasal gel for me to use prior to admission and after. The whole experience was positive. Sharon was very professional with an easy, friendly manner and kindly answered my questions that she had not already covered.

Hospital was dirty. Room was dirty. Was provided with a pillow that was fully stained yellow on one side with no pillow cover. One of the nurses saw it when he turned it over but I had already been lying on it for hours. Went to the surgery without any pillow only to wake up to another stained pillow without any cover. Found a toenail on the bed. Very unhygienic and was not comfortable. Staff were ok. Food received was not what I ordered, so left without eating anything. Will only be coming back for my second operation because it is the surgeons only practice that is close to where I live, otherwise would not be returning. Hygiene is most important in these environments and it was not to par at all. Worse than NHS.

Steve is excellent. Personable and very professional and clearly knows his stuff. He operated on our son following a shoulder dislocation playing rugby. Throughout the process, Steve was clear with the surgical options and very thorough in his explanations, particularly understanding with the emotions of a teenager and his desperation to be back on the pitch again. He has a friendly manner and was always quick to answer extra questions we had between consultations. He did an excellent surgical job on our son and we’d have no hesitation in recommending him. I had a great experience with Miriam for my mummy MOT. Miriam is very knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly helpful. Miriam comprehensively gathered information about my postpartum phase, explored my concerns, examined my movement, c section scar and pelvic floor muscles and explained the issues I had clearly. She provided me with an easy to follow guide on exercises that will benefit me. I am really impressed and pleased with the care and professionalism I received and will definitely be returning for more sessions. I would recommend Miriam to anyone who has had a baby and would like to be back in tune with their body.

This was my second cataract operation on my left eye having had a very successful cataract removal and lenses replacement on my right eye performed by Mr Sian a couple of months earlier at Musgrove Park. Mr Sian’s skills , patience and care are exemplary. The outcome hss exceeded all my expectations. For information I initially saw Mr Sian at the Nuffield and had my resulting procedures at Musgrove Park due to the complexity of both eyes. My comments apply mainly to Musgrove although are also applicable to treatment received by Mr Sian at the Nuffield Taunton.

From the moment I first arrived, everyone was friendly and welcoming. As the treatment progressed, the friendliness continued with the further use of very impressive analytical machinery each with a specific purpose. This was followed by a very informative chat with the the surgeon, Mr. Mazen Tahhan, who provided me with the information to aid my decision. The actual treatment followed a few days later and was completely painless. A week later, I was given a 100% success rating and an appointment for my second eye. This was a similar experience.

Mr Ramkumar completed a full right hip replacement for me in November 2025. The whole process ran smoothly and I always felt listened to with any questions I had. 2 months later, I am pain free and moving about easily, walking as much as 25,000 steps on one day. This is the 2nd hip replacement Mr Ramkumar has performed for me with my 1st hip being replaced 5 years ago. Like changing surgery and 100% successful. So grateful to Mr Ramkumar and his team.
