Two consultations with Mr Herzog were very satisfactory. He was clear about wanting to make his own mind up about my problems rather than relying at all on previous views from others. I found that very reassuring. After an MRI scan he was able to talk me through in detail about all the issues, pros and cons etc. and outline options for the future. He made clear what would probably happen without intervention - something no one else had done previously. That made it so much easier for me to go ahead with an operation. The surgery went forward very quickly and successfully. I saw Mr Herzog before the operation and twice afterwards. His concern for my wellbeing was very obvious. His manner was delightful, which helped me to have full confidence in him. I am delighted to have chosen him as my Consultant and would recommend him unreservedly to others.

I cannot recommend Mr Athanasiou highly enough. He is an outstanding surgeon and consultant, far beyond what I’ve experienced previously. He took the time to really listen and explain things clearly, without ever making the appointment feel rushed. His approach is thoughtful, measured and always in the patient’s best interests — he doesn’t suggest unnecessary procedures, only what is truly needed. His secretary, Christiana, has also been brilliant — professional, kind and efficient in every interaction, which made the whole process smooth and reassuring. Finding a surgeon you can genuinely trust can feel daunting, but with Mr Athanasiou I felt completely confident and well cared for from start to finish.

We recently visited Nuffield Vale of Glamorgan for my son’s squint surgery under the care of Dr Jewsbury. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Dr Jewsbury’s care, both on the day and in the weeks that followed, was exceptional. The results have surpassed our expectations and have been genuinely life-changing for my son. Dr Janjua is always incredibly thorough in the eye exam, explaining each step and answering all my questions with patience. He takes the time to discuss my prescription in detail and also the variety of lens options available such as anti-fatigue, blue light reduction and anti-glare. I work in the computing industry and having the right eyewear makes the difference between a good day and one where you’re severely tired at the end of it. Dr Janjua’s expertise and attention to detail makes sure you’re confident it will be a good day.

Mr Hasan Al Chalabi

Mr Hasan Al Chalabi was recommended to me via a relative who works at Chelsfield Hospital and through BUPA I was able to make an appointment to see him. I can see why she spoke so highly of him. Outside of his professionalism of explaining what was needed and the detail of the surgery (which I asked for) he was extremely calming, positive and just a really nice guy. He put me at ease with the surgery and took time to speak afterwards with a really nice manner.

My recent visit I had my regular checkup and cleaning done and when I came back in to have work done and honestly this place always out preforms makes you completely at ease and the constant advice on how to better maintain my teeth and it’s always done with a friendly atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Doctor Almpanis has done a great work in identifying the issue, and explaining very thoroughly the procedure, the risks and the outcomes. It gave a lot of confidence and you feel how much he cares about the patient well being. I am very grateful to Dr Almpanis for the successful surgery. He attentively monitored the recovery process, and was very responsive and reassuring when I had questions.

Best to make sure someone attends with you to ask the questions you might be to groggy to ask at the time. Would be nice if staff shared communication as I have frozen shoulder and I only had chance to tell the lovely Laura staff nurse who reasured me. Dr Ahmed introduced himself and Ruby too...I had to ask what they found and was given printed details at the end. Overall positive. Thank you!

Very inexperienced physio. Took significant time to understand the problem. Asked all questions (clearly from script/list of qs), even when already discussed and known as irrelevant, or already covered the answer. Exercises provided in technical terms only, hard for lay person to remember and understand. Zero follow up even though it was promised.
