The most daunting aspect wasn’t the surgery itself—I knew I was in safe hands—but the general anaesthetic, I had never been under anaesthesia before. However, I was thoroughly reassured by the anaesthetist and the entire team led by Dr McLean. They all provided a personal touch, which made a huge difference and gave me the reassurance I needed. Even though I had wanted this for years, it was still a big decision. The aftercare from Dr McLean has been nothing short of outstanding. He makes everything feel easy and straightforward, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience and more importantly the result. I love my new additions and wished I met Dr McLean years ago! I’ll be forever grateful.

I contacted my NHS GP after developing an acute medical problem but was not offered an appointment or even the opportunity to speak with a GP. Loughvuew had be recommended to me by a friend and I had no trouble getting an appointment quickly. The reception staff were very welcoming and I was seen on time. The GP was very professional but also very open and friendly and I found it very easy to talk to him. He took a thorough history and did a full examination before explaining his diagnosis and proposed treatment plan. Overall I was very happy with the consultation and would thoroughly recommend Loughview to anyone seeking high quality, compassionate medical care.

I spent 3 days at the Royal Free PPU as an in-patient following major surgery and I have nothing but praise for the treatment I recieved from start to finish. My surgery was scheduled speedily, the operation went as well as hoped, and all of the PPU team members who took care of me - Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Housekeeping - were professional but at the same time, kind and reassuring. I was really anxious about the surgery and for me, the care that I received as an in-patient, made the whole experience so much less stressful.

The staff at the hospital are absolutely brilliant. Communication was always clear and timely, and their care was very much centred around me as the patient and nothing was too much of an ask. excellent experience, my second! prof Griffin is amazing. but all the staff were fantastic. i would like to particularly mention, the 2 staff nurses who looked after me. One was spanish and i think the other was a bank nurse from Romania . both were reallly excellent as a retired nurse myself I recognise skill and expertise.
