I had my TAC stitch placed by the wonderful Mr Stelios at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in May 2021, following a self‑referral I made the previous December. From the very beginning, Mr Stelios was exceptional. He explained every aspect of the procedure, including all risks and next steps, with such clarity and compassion. During the surgery, he also removed some scarring from my uterus. What truly set him apart was how far he went beyond his formal responsibilities. He personally communicated with my IVF consultant at another hospital to discuss the potential risks of a twin pregnancy, ensuring that every decision was made with my safety in mind. Thanks to IVF, I became pregnant with my daughter in October 2022. Mr Stelios also fitted my occlusion stitch after my 12‑week scan and continued as my consultant throughout the pregnancy, right up to the successful delivery of my daughter in June 2026. He is an incredibly talented surgeon, a brilliant communicator, and genuinely an angel for anyone facing infertility challenges. If it weren’t for him, we would not have become parents.

I had my varicose vein scan with Louis and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, he made me feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident that I was being properly looked after. Louis explained everything in a really easy-to-understand way and talked me through the scan as it was happening, which helped put me completely at ease. The ultrasound was very thorough, and it was clear he really knows what he’s doing, nothing felt rushed, and he took his time to check everything properly. What I appreciated most was how calm and reassuring Louis was throughout the appointment. He made sure I understood what was going on, what the scan showed, and what the next steps might be, without using complicated medical language or making it feel overwhelming. The whole appointment felt professional but friendly, and I left feeling informed, reassured, and confident in the advice I was given. If you’re feeling nervous about having a varicose vein scan or don’t know where to start, I would 100% recommend seeing Louis. You’re in very safe hands.

Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital Oxford

The Manor Hospital appeared clean, pleasant environment and staff were friendly. There is however one major issue - Car Parking. I nearly missed my appointment despite arriving 35 minutes prior. The car park does not appear adequate for the volume of patients and staff. A vehicle had been parked and blocked the car park, presumably because they thought were going to miss their appointment. This was resolved by creating a one way system which finally allowed me to, by luck, get a space. As an improvement it might be good if when booking, the booker tells the patient of possible alternative car parks in the area that they might have to use?

On arrival, and in good time, there was a huge que at the reception desk with only one member of staff trying to deal with patients. We waiting a very long time even to be acknowledged so, not wanting to be late for our appointment, we made our own way to the area A. We were then approached another member of staff in Area A who was able to give us the forms we should have received at reception. Knowing that a significant number of patients were due in the recetion should have been fully staffed with an expeditious way in processing through.

Cathedral Eye Clinic

The staff at Cathedral Clinic were very professional and tried to make me comfortable. However the actual procedure was not an enjoyable experience. having anaesthetic injected into my eye was very traumatic and having gone through the procedure before and it not 100% and having to return for Laser. I so hope that my left eye will not have the same result. Overall I would recommend the clinic and staff to anyone who has to have the procedure done. Bernadette M.

Dr. Raf was amazing. From the moment I met him, he immediately calmed me down and made me feel at ease. He was kind, patient, and really took the time to listen instead of rushing through the appointment. He explained everything clearly and made sure I understood what was going on. Repeating this as my first attempt left the screen! Having quite a large BCC, I was naturally naturally apprensisive but from start all the team were friendly and supportive. Mr Kuma explained the prodeure in a very clear, understandable way and communcation throughout has been excellent. My thanks to Mr. Kuma for his skill and patience and to all his team for the excellent personal care.

Staff at the practice seem to be unable to distinguish between NHS patients a d those who Are private and paying. Twice i was sent to the wrong waiting area with NHS patients. Only to be later sent to the private waiting area. As a paying patient i expect a certain level of compitance and care. So come on Barlborough, a little bit of interest in your role might help

Joshua started by reviewing how I was and I showed him the exercises he'd taught me. Then he asked my opinion on what I felt was important to target next and helped with exercises for that. He also made a video on my phone of an exercise, talking me through it, so I could remember it. Unfortunately I don't live locally so can't access his expertise on a regular basis.

Mr Moussa did a c-section to me. He was brilliant and did an amazing job. There was a complication with bleeding but he managed to sort it out quickly enough without me realising what was happening which was great because I didn't get stressed and I stayed calm with my baby. He is an excellent consultant, with great manners and explained everything to me.

Excellent consult. Unfriendly reception. Not particularly clean. The worst part the hospital didn’t order my medication. Said to my consultant we can get it tomorrow. He was down from Scotland. Only for the day. I was travelling to London. So he went and got it from another hospital. Next time I see him we won’t be coming there!
