Following the completion of his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Nebraska Medical Centre in the United States, Dr Ashraf accepted a consultant position in gastroenterology in the United Kingdom in 1995. He has been involved in research throughout his career, publishing a number of research articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as over 30 scientific abstract publications and two book chapters.

Oh my God, I went to the doctor today. I had very bad stomach upset. He was so professional and kind and caring. He really went into depth to help me. He booked my blood test straightaway. He booked my ultrasound. He even ran after me to give me extra medicine in my hand. When I left he gave me a prescription and also he was just a very polite kind person I can really recommend this guy. He is so good at his job. What a lovely person.

My visit was very pleasant from the , receptionist, nurses. The Anesthetist, came to see me which made me feel at ease. Dr Ashraf saw me before the op and explained the procedure, also after it was finished he came to see me to tell me all went well. Very reassuring! My breakfast roll and pot of tea was very nice as well.All staff very kind!
