Mr David Lawrence

David performed a pneumonectomy in March 2025. I can't thank him and his team enough, they were fantastic from start to finish in their professionalism, dedication and support.

Mr Lawrence performed bypass surgery on my dad. From the day they first met until the day he left hospital, Mr Lawrence had a calm, kind and reassuring manner. Combined with his well-documented expertise, this gave our family confidence and comfort during a very difficult time. Following the surgery, a complication occurred which we later learned was extremely serious. Many wonderful healthcare professionals were involved in getting him through this, and we are grateful to them all. But we feel certain that the fact Mr Lawrence was still at the hospital that evening is why I sat and watched a cricket match with dad last Saturday. Thanks to Mr Lawrence’s skill and dedication, my dad is still with us today, and our family will always be deeply grateful.

I had a VATS bullectomy and pleurodesis carried out by Mr Lawrence about a month ago. He was absolutely brilliant. He was very approachable when it came to any questions or concerns I had, and after the initial consultation I felt completely reassured that everything was going to go well. I would highly recommend him to anyone, as well as Harley Street Clinic where the treatment was provided.

Mr Lawrence is a superb physician - unambiguous and clear explanation of diagnosis, straightforward outline of treatment alternatives, and he conveyed a very strong sense of the right (and conservative) way to proceed. The whole experience was quite outstanding.

David was very down to earth was made the appointment less daunting. He had already looked up on my notes so felt that I didn't have to explain everything from scratch. We talked about certain options and I was given reassurance depending on further tests what could be the outcome. Overall Mr Lawrence was very friendly & welcoming

He is extremely knowledgeable and professional, and his belief in treating illness holistically benefitted me significantly. I have everything to be grateful for under the care of Mr David Lawrence over the last 5 years. I presented with multiple primary tumours in different areas. The case was complex with competing priorities and several consultants from different disciplines involved. Thoracotomy is significant surgery for all involved. The care Mr Lawerence took pre and post op stood out. His surgery was without complications.

From the beginning, Mr. Lawrence has been hugely approachable, friendly and reassuring; he gave me all the information I wanted/needed to know about my surgery and engendered in me a feeling of complete confidence that I was definitely in the safest of hands. Shortly before my surgery, Mr. Lawrence came to see me and although I was very nervous by then, never having had an operation in my life, he managed to make me feel a little more at ease, it was just somehow reassuring to have those few words with him.
