Mr David Lawrence

Mr Lawrence performed an upper lobectomy for me just over two weeks ago. I honestly could not have wished for better care - from the first consultation, through to the surgery and post operative care, Mr Lawrence has been simply wonderful. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Lawrence to anyone!

Mr Lawrence is a wonderful and highly competent Consultant. He has looked after me for 5 years. He is caring has a lovely manner, skilled, and a Just a bit busy top Specialist.

The word “genius”, is very much an overused adjective these days, but trust me, it fits the talents of Mr Lawrence perfectly. Many patients, I’m sure, begin their medical journey with some trepidation but with his engaging and welcoming approach, these concerns rapidly diminish. His affable personality, which together with a precision focus and an absolute clarity of information, generates a huge sense of confidence in his ability which in the event, I promise, is certainly not misplaced. I am so lucky to have been in the care of Mr Lawrence; I owe him everything and mere thanks somehow feel so inadequate for what he has done for me. This gentleman is not only an incredible doctor but moreover, he is a brilliant ambassador for his profession.

Any anxiety i had was removed once I was checked in on the day of my procedure. All staff put me at ease and I had no reason to worry .

I have been under the care of Mr Lawrence since last November and I have found him to be professional and caring. He has always listened to my concerns and reassured me. I have felt confident of his expertise and that of his team, who have been very helpful.

Mr Lawrence prepared for my urgent operation with meticulous care, including detailed medical history, several conversations with me, speaking with my other consultant specialists and collating all scan and other data from several sources. He deployed his awesome technical abilities to provide a great, effective surgical solution in the context of challenging complex comorbidities, including secondary cancer, in an older adult. I had fast recovery and healing. I was able to drive on discharge. This was all delivered with incredible warmth, humanity and respect. I am reassured to know that, although not anticipated, if I require any further thoracic surgery, Mr Lawrence would be pleased to help. Thank you, Mr Lawrence.

Where do I start , what an amazing man , visited me everyday during my 1 week hospital stay , checking on my pain level and ensuring me all was progressing well. , Mr Lawrence called my wife whenever needed to help settle her nerves and worries. He explained the whole procedure in a manner that helped me understand but didn’t over worry me. After the procedure his team looked after me very well and I felt all my needs were met and exceeded. I couldn’t have wished for a better person to have carried out my procedure and supported me after. I did noticed during my stay , Mr Lawrence is so respected by all the staff and everyone speaks so highly of him , thanks again ❤️
