Any anxiety i had was removed once I was checked in on the day of my procedure. All staff put me at ease and I had no reason to worry .

I have been under the care of Mr Lawrence since last November and I have found him to be professional and caring. He has always listened to my concerns and reassured me. I have felt confident of his expertise and that of his team, who have been very helpful.

Mr Lawrence prepared for my urgent operation with meticulous care, including detailed medical history, several conversations with me, speaking with my other consultant specialists and collating all scan and other data from several sources. He deployed his awesome technical abilities to provide a great, effective surgical solution in the context of challenging complex comorbidities, including secondary cancer, in an older adult. I had fast recovery and healing. I was able to drive on discharge. This was all delivered with incredible warmth, humanity and respect. I am reassured to know that, although not anticipated, if I require any further thoracic surgery, Mr Lawrence would be pleased to help. Thank you, Mr Lawrence.

Where do I start , what an amazing man , visited me everyday during my 1 week hospital stay , checking on my pain level and ensuring me all was progressing well. , Mr Lawrence called my wife whenever needed to help settle her nerves and worries. He explained the whole procedure in a manner that helped me understand but didn’t over worry me. After the procedure his team looked after me very well and I felt all my needs were met and exceeded. Dr Lawrence recently did lung surgery on me and removed a cancerous legion. Throughout the entire process from pre-assessment to post surgery, Dr Lawrence and very through in explaining exactly what the procedure would be, what the time scales would be and have be a clear recovery plan. This was a very worrying time for me and Dr Lawrence continued to give me reassurance throughout the whole process which calmed my nerves and gave me family and I confidence in him. I cannot recommend Mr David Lawrence highly enough. Being diagnosed with lung cancer at 44 was one of the most daunting experiences of my life.
