Barts Health Private Care brings together five hospitals across East London: Mile End Hospital, St Bartholomew's Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital, Newham Hospital and The Royal London Hospital. admission was only 3 hours before you asked me to report to the ward. When I attended the ward in question, no one knew anything about my admission. I was eventually informed that I could check in at 3.00 as arranged for my bloods.When I arrived no one knew anything about taking bloods. They were taken about 4.30. The ward manager agreed I could be moved into a private room after my operation, which I was. On the whole ward staff were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast the following morning was a joke…..2 rounds of cold toast, butter and marmalade with a small carton of orange juice. Lunch was luke warm chinese, followed by ice cream. I had to chase staff for around 2 hours to get my discharge letter drawn up. Considering the experience cost me around £10,000, I doubt I would use the facility again.

No toilet facilities in the unit, readmission needed for using facilities. No name check performed before medication administration. Scan room was cold, no blanket offered for warmth. No waiting for treatment and the treatment time was as explained at the beginning of the procedure.

Very good overall, very professional all round. I did have to wait from 7am to 15.00 to have my biopsy, but i understand everyone is extremely busy.

The staff where second to none the care they gave me was unbelievable, I was so lucky to have Dincer Aktuerk as my surgeon he must be easily the best in the uk, all I can say is thank you to everyone at Bart’s.

Very clean and efficient staff were very friendly. On one occasion I was asked to undress in the room in front of everyone (not sure if that was because there was no changing room available?) and on another visit I was asked to undress down to the waist and leave my trousers on - my treatment was on my leg and I had to point that out. Not a problem (made me smile) and I believe the member of staff was a student. Overall they were very friendly, the treatment was completed without delay and I would happily return to Bart’s for future treatment if needed.

The wait time to be shown to my room was too long. My arrival should have been deferred until nearer the time my allotted room was available. Nearly three hours of sitting in the day room was not good.
