Mr Joseph Aquilina is professional, reassuring, and clear in his interactions with patients. He provides thorough examinations and explains findings well, performing ultrasound for diagnosis and planning successful surgeries such as hysteroscopy or for pelvic pain. Mr Aquilina also supports patients through various stages, including pregnancies and menopause, making them comfortable during procedures like Mirena replacement. His expertise extends across various gynaecological concerns, including diagnosis with ultrasound and treatment for irregular periods.
Well organised and on time. Everyone made it a pleasant consultation. Mr Aquilina was compassionate and explained everything well. I left the consultation feeling empowered and hopeful that my situation had been correctly diagnosed and a treatment plan was in place.
It was very fast from being seen to, on time, dr listening and doing a scan.
Mr Anquilina was very knowledgeable and reassuring, listened to my concerns and thoroughly assessed any issues I had raised. The took the time to explain to me his findings which was very reassuring and helpful
I have to say, I was pretty unhappy with the level of care I received. I went to get answers on irregular periods. He did an ultrasound and didn’t see a condition I have that I have previously been diagnosed with by another doctor. He didn’t offer any answers or any kind of diagnosis or follow up. I called my insurance for a second opinion and saw another doctor who did an ultrasound and confirmed I have uterine polyps as well as a thickened uterine lining that they need to take biopsies for. Such a shame as I saw on his profile that he specialised in diagnosing irregular bleeding. I waited a long time to see him and traveled to a hospital that wasn’t near me only to receive care that was subpar.

I am really sorry this lady had a poor experience. Without knowing the specifics of the case I am not able to comment on the reasons the lady was not happy about. I am happy to offer a follow up for no charge if she wishes
He was thorough in his examination and diagnosis. Also underwent surgery which was successful with quick recovery. He took interest and time in explaining everything both related to pre-op and post-op.

Feedback very much appreciated
Very poor experience overall. I was left waiting for over half hour for no apparent reason. When I went to inquire with the nurses, politely saying that I wanted to know whether I should move a meeting that I thought I’d left a sufficient buffer for, I was treated pretty curtly and told to wait. When I finally saw the doctor, he provided me with incorrect information on the treatment I’m currently on, insisting he was correct. This led to (a) stress - as I had made decisions based on the medication I was prescribed by a previous doctor (who is unfortunately is no longer covered by my insurance provider) and (b) an incorrect prescription by him. When I left I did basic research on the manufacturer’s website, confirming that indeed his understanding was incorrect. I contacted his secretary, who arranged for the prescription to be amended - without so much as any form of apology. I’m thankful I double checked his information, but this was a pretty disappointing experience overall.

Would like to apologise for the delay due to reasons which I could not divulge to this ladyat the time to protect previous patient confidentiality. The issue about the length of use of Mirena IUS was a misunderstanding which I clarified after the clinic. Again I am sorry for the delay but all patients are given the time needed and thiw sometimes goes over the presdibed 30 minutes
Professional and personable consultant. I felt like I was in good hands with Mr Aquilina.
