I have performed more than 1200 lap cholecystectomy I also manage bile duct stones and pancreatic pseudocysts laparoscopically.

Laparoscopic (Keyhole ) Groin hernia surgery

All patients with groin hernia regardless of symptoms should be offered a consultation as the long term outcome of early operation is better than wait and watch policy even in asymptomatic hernia according to recently published international guidelines. Abdominal wall hernia result in poor quality of life due to poor abdominal wall function and surgical treatment can offer a significant improvement in quality of life. I have learnt new approaches in robotic surgery in abdominal wall hernia repair and reconstruction at specialist centres in Belgium .

Mr Tapuria repaired my large, quickly growing left inguinal hernia using the open technique with mesh. He explained everything with great clarity incuding all the risks of surgery and gave very clear answers to my many questions. I found him to be an extremely skilful surgeon and an excellent communicator. There was minimal post-operative pain and after the first few weeks none at all. I didn't use any of the painkillers I was given. Now 4 months after the surgery there is minimal scarring and there has not been the slightest discomfort or awareness of the mesh. The hernia is completely gone. Many thanks to Mr Tapuria and the wonderful comfortable Nuffield Health Highgate Hospital with all its fabulous friendly staff. They were all brilliant.
