I needed a second lung surgery which was an extremely worrying thing to go through, but knowing it would be Miss Al-Sahaf operating again made it so much less scary. She has a calm, clear and no nonsense approach which makes intimidating situations much more manageable. She puts a big focus on recovery and making sure you have everything you need to get back to normal as quickly as possible. I am very grateful to have had her as my surgeon.

Miss May Al -Sahaf has expertly removed 2 of my upper lobes left and right due to cancer. The procedure was explained to me very clearly along with the benefit of surgery to remove the cancers and check margins, lymph nodes etc. Miss May Al -Sahaf is someone l trust greatly as her judgements and skills have saved my life. I hardly have any scars and the pain of surgery wore off after a few weeks. She gave me encouragement and hope when l was on the ward. I am now happy and cancer free.No pain and can enjoy life again thanks to Miss May Al-Sahaf and her team at Hammersmith Hospital.

Absolutely excellent treatment. Miss Al-Sahara is an exceptionally skilled and very conscientious surgeon. At every stage from the decision to have the surgery to post operative steps, Miss Al-Sahaf took great care to explain everything to me fully. The surgery itself was complete success, with minimum cutting and loss lung tissue; and with far less pain and quicker recovery than I had expected.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. May Al-Sahaf for the outstanding care and treatment I received. From the moment I met her, I felt reassured by her professionalism, knowledge, and confidence. Before my surgery, I spent time reading about her experience and achievements, which made me feel much more relaxed and comfortable knowing I was in such capable hands. The surgery was a great success, and throughout the entire process Dr. Al-Sahaf showed exceptional skill, care, and compassion. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel supported every step of the way. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Al-Sahaf and her team. Her expertise and dedication have made a tremendous difference to me, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone needing thoracic surgery. Thank you, Dr. Al-Sahaf, for the excellent care you provided.

I cannot thank Dr Al-Sahaf enough for the care she gave my mum throughout her cancer treatment. From pre-operative appointments right through to discharge, she was attentive, supportive, and consistently went above and beyond. She made what was an incredibly difficult time feel manageable, and my mum always felt in the safest of hands. I couldn't have trusted anyone more with her care. Truly exceptional.

While nobody wants to have an operation, feeling like you are in safe hands makes it so much better. Great clarity from Miss May Al-Sahaf and knowing her extensive experience was a huge comfort. My condition wasn’t exactly common but I felt sure I would be taken care of to the highest standard. And I was.
