Dr Gohil treated my father for primary CNS lymphoma. We were so happy to be dealing with him - a truly professional individual who showed lots of care and attention to my father and to us as family members. He was always responsive on emails and made time to address all our questions, even during his hospital rounds. He has been extremely thorough in his treatment and always made sure that we had no unanswered questions or concerns. Without his close attention and support, we wouldn’t be where we are today - my dad has received an all clear and is able to go back to living his life normally. Dr Gohil is an excellent doctor and we are very grateful to have connected with him.
Dr Gohill is always professional & respectful with me. he explains my treatment & leukaemia clearly, puts me at ease & also is pleasant & friendly. One of the best.
I feel incredibly fortunate and grateful to have had Dr Gohil leading my care. He took the time to truly listen, investigate every possibility. He remained committed to finding answers and ensured I received the best possible care. His willingness to spend time understanding my rare disease and discussing every step of my treatment gave me the confidence and certainty that I would have a positive end to this. I would definitely recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a highly skilled specialist.
Dr Gohil, explained, as I had been anticipating from our previous clinic meetings, that it was now appropriate to recommence treatment for the CLL. This was therefore no surprise and the explanation of possible side effects was carefully undertaken. Dr Gohil explained that it was his view that it was better to recommence treatment earlier than leave it and risk becoming more ill due to the progression of the disease. I am entirely content with this strategy and the explanation. Always a pleasure to chat with Satyen.
Dr Gohil is always very professional. He doesn't rush through the appointment and he always allows you time to ask questions. He's very reassuring and I feel very well looked after as his patient.
I recently contacted Dr Gohil as my Mum was diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma and we hadn't had much support on the NHS and I wanted a 2nd opinion. From the very outset Dr Gohil and his secretary were extremely efficient and supportive. Dr Gohil recommended a different route for Mum and gave her all the time in the world with so much support and care which was really needed at the time as she was frail mentally and physically. I am very grateful of his time, support and knowledge for both Mum but also for all of us as a family.
My recent visit was very good. My husband who has early dementia was spoken to with kindness and the dr took time to wait for his answers. Everything was explained to us and any questions we asked were answered with more information.
Dr Gohil is an exceptionally knowledgeable, calm, and caring doctor. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel reassured throughout my treatment. I am very grateful to have been referred to him for my cancer treatment.
Overall excellent care, everything explained, all testing well organised and quick results. Dr Gohil is very approachable and get's things done.
7 months ago I wrote that my husband and I were heartbroken to find out that he has a rare incurable blood cancer, Waldenströms Macroglobulinemia, and after a desperate search for an expert in a cancer that few doctors, even haematologists, have ever seen, we were deeply grateful to have the wonderful Mr Gohil and the UCLH HCA team recommend to us. 7 months later I wanted to leave you an updated review to assist anyone who is looking for help and facing a lifetime living with and battling a rare complex blood cancer, and for anyone who may need help with deciding who to turn to. From the day I called his excellent Secretary, Mr Gohil and his team have not only been clinically outstanding and helped my husband through the best treatment and experience possible, but have been and continue to be the most caring, dedicated and deeply compassionate clinicians I have ever met. They have held our hands and supported our whole family 24 hours a day throughout the entire cancer journey and I have no doubt will continue to do so, we hope, for may years to come. He has helped us not only with this awful disease itself, but through emergency Christmas admissions, insurance disputes, tube strikes, treatment side effects, infection emergencies and helping us balance the care needs of my husband and my father who also has palliative cancer. I would not hesitate to say that Mr Gohil is the standard of excellence by which I now measure all other clinicians and their teams. If, like us, you need a Consultant who can walk this path with you for years to come, who has outstanding experien...
