This was the follow up having had a heart pacemaker fitted on 12 December 2025. All the test results indicate the implant is working well and I have had no further incidents of the previous problems. Dr Barman explained further technical aspects of the device regarding the operation of the device during the periods of atrial fibrillation. He is willing and able to give reassurance when a patient is concerned about any aspects of the procedure that has been performed.

Having had experience with several Cardiologists in the past, I was looking for someone who has the specialism in the electrical pulse activation within the heart. From his CV compared with the others, he appeared to me to be the best of the choices on offer in Bristol. Having made that selection I have no hesitation in confirming that he quickly identified the problem with my heart and recommended that I have a two lead Pacemaker fitted. Following his recommendation in just over a week the operation took place. He has a very friendly manner and took time to explain all aspects of the procedure he intended to follow and the risk factors involved. He appears as a person who is calm and reassuring and I was convinced he is totally reliable and someone I could trust.
