had a right knee replacement with Mr. Sam Rajaratnam just over two weeks ago on 3rd November 2025, and what I had feared would be a difficult and painful operation turned out to be completely painless. Sam is extremely kind, patient and reassuring — perfect for someone as nervous as I was. I had delayed doing this surgery for a year and a half and even cancelled the operation twice before finally going through with it! Mr. Rajaratnam has built an outstanding team, including an exceptionally experienced anaesthetist, Dr. Barry Philips; a kind and highly competent nurse consultant, Ms. Christine Howis; and an excellent senior physiotherapist, Felicitas Gatti, who visits me at home to guide my post-operative exercises. I was also extremely impressed by all the medical staff at the Cleveland Clinic hospital, who provided exceptional care throughout my stay. Whilst at the Cleveland, Sam visited me daily, and even came in today after my staples were removed to check on my progress. Mr. Rajaratnam’s expertise is evident—he has performed over 7,000 knee replacements—and the level of care and support I received was extraordinary. I was expecting a significant increase in pain once the stronger medication stopped a week after surgery, but to my surprise, I remained completely pain-free. I am extremely grateful to Sam and his wonderful team. I’ll be back for my other knee as soon as I’m up and running again!

I've seen the Joint Injection doctor twice, had two injections, and both were very helpful. The first visit was after I suffered some tissue injury to an arthritic knee and had some fluid removed and a cortisone injection, which gave me immediate relief and was the catalyst to me returning to exercise. I was having ongoing stiffness in the same joint and returned six months later. After consultation I chose to have a hyaluronic acid injection. This made a big difference to the pain, stiffness and function of my knee and has meant I am able now to properly rebuild strength on that side. Dr Thing is easy to talk to, and I felt he really supported what I am trying to do, which is to stay highly active and delay the point I will need surgery for as long as possible. He is very well informed and explained clearly the pros and cons of various approaches to managing arthritis of the knee. He is also skilled at what he does, the injections are ultrasound guided to ensure correct placement and both injections were painless.

My experience with Mr Munipalle was excellent, as was my experience with the ward staff and the resus staff. Sadly though my experience with the anesthatist. The tall man with the tattoos was as lovely as the others but the shorter man made me feel like I didn’t matter. He was putting in the cannular, which he tried multiple times in my left hand without even a word spoken. That could be forgiven but when the cannular was sited in my right arm he administered the medication to put me under, without any warning and before the mask was put on my face. This was a really unpleasant experience that felt like my body was collapsing in on itself and of course I panicked, which made one of them to put the mask on me. This doctor operated In a completely different way to all other staff involved in my care. I feel strongly that this is communicated to Mr Munipalle as this man lets the rest of the team down. St Joseph’s Hospital

I was at St Josephs for a repair to the rotator cuff of my right shoulder. Admission was at 11:00 hrs and I was shown to a private room with ensuite bathroom, bed, easy chair and TV with Internet and Sky access. A nurse took a set of observations and both the surgeon and anaesthetist came in to discuss my surgery and confirm my consent. At 12:00 I walked in gown and slippers to the operating theatre and once on the operating table I was connected to various monitors. A pre med drug was injected via a canula on the back of my right hand. At 13:00hrs I woke up in the recovery room with the operation complete. After a short while my bed was wheeled back to my room. Further sets of observations were taken and later I was given my choice of post op snack and coffee. A physio came to see me and gave me a sheet of recommended exercises. At 19:00 my daughter arrived to take me home. I was happy with all aspects of the day.

I initially booked in to see Dr Lafina as I wanted to be more proactive with my health and wellbeing. She provides a fantastic service, where she brings great professionalism, expertise, attention to detail to the individual in front of her, and genuine care. Everything you'd want from someone overlooking your general health. With regards to my own health screening, the whole process was extensive but very smooth and I was quickly provided actionable outcomes. The overall clinic experience was great, the clinic staff were very welcoming and helpful and the clinic space was of high standard. As someone into their health and fitness, and as a practitioner in a different field of the health and wellness industry, I would highly recommend Deia Health and Dr Lafina.

Dr. Muheden was kind and attentive to my concerns and provided exceptional care during my visits. His attention to detail and genuine concern made all the difference and he ensured I understood every step of my treatment. The entire Pixie and Sera team was extremely professional from scheduling either online or by phone to reception at the clinic. They all ensured I was seen within minutes on my appointment days. Keep up great job! Suggestion - If we could get appointments and at least tests and labs done over the weekends. Maybe half days on Saturdays? It is hard for some of us to come on weekdays hence all my appointments had to be done late in the evenings. If I had an option for Saturday I would've preferred that than late in the evenings. Thank you!

Mr Chilcott is calm, gentle and an excellent surgeon. I am 2 weeks post op (full abdominal hysterectomy, removal of fibroids and oophorectomy). He explained the surgery in full in the initial consultation and worked together with the hospital to ensure i had all the necessary information needed in the lead up to the operation and discussed what would be needed post operation (HRT, blood thinners for an existing blood condition) to ensure i got back to full health. Operation day was a success and I'm left with a very neat scar. He came to visit me daily as I recovered in hospital and was accessible for any question (via the nurses or his wonderful PA, Paula) at any time. He's kind, flexible and very helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

My experience of this appointment was genuinely five-star. The procedure I had was performed by Vicky with meticulous care. The clinic gives a luxurious atmosphere making you feel at ease the minute you walk through the door. The staff at VB health from the reception area to the practitioners are very friendly, warm professional and very knowledgeable. You are made to feel completely at ease and well informed about the treatment I was having. I cannot recommend VB Health highly enough this is definitely the only place to go for treatments. Just like to say what a wonderful understanding and kind team you have . After a wile through my consolation I began to feel very relaxed connecting with your GP . She was very interested with my health and wellbeing and making notes regarding my health history and present concerns. On a comparison to my NHS GP I was always felt I was a bit of pain in the back side when it come to my wellbeing and made me feel very anxious. All the staff including the catheters were very helpful, especially the two nurses who took care of me, very caring looked after all my needs. Dr Riyaz Somani has very good bed side manors, he explained the operation procedure very well then he came and saw me again after the operation to let me know how it went with no problems. The staff were absolutely brilliant. So very friendly whilst remaining professional. My appointment was for 11.30 and whilst I accept there is always some waiting time I didn't expect 2 hours. I had another doctor appointment for 2.20 and I was beginning to panic that I would not be ablecto attend. My other complaint,along with several other patients was how very cold the rooms were We were sat in our winter coats and still feeling the cold. Paul, a staff member did eventually turn the heating on/up.

My treatment was good however, I experienced some pain during the placing of the pacemaker and the ablation. Perhaps it is usual not to mention possible pain in case the patient becomes anxious but I personally would have appreciated a warning with reassurance that the pain would not last long as well as a strategy to deal with it. I found counting helpful as it reinforced how short a time the pain lasted.

I have like a fine mist on the eye which I had treatment on, when I drive at night it is like driving at night in fog, I get more reaction from on coming vehicles which I did not have before. My optometrist contacted you for a referral and was told my eyesight was good enough and would not see me under the NHS but I could go private
