Mr Malec was recommended to me by a nurse friend and fellow horserider, who'd done all the research and had chosen Mr Malec at Rowley Hall in Stafford for her husbands future knee replacements. I'm so glad I went with her recommendation as Mr Malec is the best. He's kind, reasuring and just a nice man as well as being a great knee surgeon. My operation went without issue 6 weeks ago and today after a check up with Mr Malec and Andy the PT, on the progress I've made, I have passed with flying colours. My xray looks great and I have a good solid, painfree and stable knee where once I had the opposite of all those. I'm now looking forward to walking again in the hills that I've missed and the riding, the swimming and even the small things like walking down the stairs. Its early days but what an amazing change already after 6 weeks. I'm reborn. Cannot thank Mr Malec enough. He's changed my life as it was, I can clearly see that will be ongoing into the future with a smile. Onwards and upwards! Thankyou Mr Makec and your team.

I have just returned home after a full hip replacement. We were recommended to St Joseph’s and I can’t speak highly enough of the team and the care I received. Many things stand out. The friendly, yet professional ambience, the obviously good relations and communications across all staff. Although my visit lasted only just over 24 hours, at no time did anything feel rushed or ‘conveyor belt’. Just well organised with a feeling that I was being very well looked after. The room and facilities were first class, comfortable and super clean. The operation itself was clearly explained and went without hitch. There was a lot of experience in that room, not least of the lead consultant and anaesthetist. Recovery was also much quicker than I expected, with excellent follow on from the Physio team and 6 sessions into the future as part of the package. I would finally like to express my thanks to all the staff who have made such a positive difference for me.

Professor Kidd has been an incredible help throughout my care. From the very first appointment, I felt listened to, reassured, and fully supported. He has been extremely thorough in arranging all the necessary investigations to properly understand what is happening with my joints, which gave me a lot of confidence in the process. At every appointment, he was highly knowledgeable, calm, and reassuring, taking the time to explain everything clearly and answer my questions. I always felt that he genuinely cared about getting to the root of the problem rather than rushing to conclusions. After having ankle replacement surgery on 28/10/2025 which went very well from admission to discharge I returned today 16/12/2025 to have the plaster cast removed and fitted with a moon boot. My overall experience with Nottingham City Hospital and Mr Raglan and his team was more than satisfactory and in no way an unpleasant experience due to the excellent care of everyone involved with myself. I felt that every step was explained to me in a concise manner and I felt confident this was the right path for me. Anyone needing ankle replacement surgery should be reassured that Mr Raglan, his team and all the nursing staff will care for you In a befitting manner and there really is nothing to worry about. Always an absolute pleasure coming to Vermilion, the staff are just on another level. I honestly think you wouldn’t get that kind of treatment anywhere else in the country. Customer service is first class. Everyone, from the admin teams and front of house, to the Drs and Hygienists. Had my third Hygienist appointment with Debbie last week, she is absolutely amazing, always feel better after seeing her (mentally and with a sparkling mouth 😂). Also, Dr Martin Morley is also such a great guy, so easy to talk to and great at what he does. Best dental team, hands down.

My visit to see Dr Dominic Mort was informative and really helped me to understand a pretty rare occurrence. It confirmed my suspicions that what I was experiencing was not seizures, but a "Jaw Jerk", an involuntary biting action whilst asleep causing sometimes deep lacerations to my tongue and mouth. I was extremely happy with the consultation and forward plan. I would definitely recommend Dr Mort to anyone. He was professional, precise, caring and put both my husband and myself at ease straight away.

My visit was disappointing but not due to Professor Douek but the fact that another department decided to over rule a decision made by the professor and cancelled an appointment previous to this one which means that I will need to take time out again to visit but also wasted an appointment time someone else could have had. Professor Douek was apologetic and sincere and did still complete an examination. Very professional.

Dr Alwan is an excellent dermatologist, not only was he very experienced, professional and capable of investigating my symptoms, he was also very caring, patient, willing to listen and explain in such a wonderful and reassuring way, he never rushed me (I had two consultations with him), a very genuine doctor who truly cares about his patients. I wish there are more doctors like him. I highly recommended him.

My appointment was on time and I was welcomed by Dr Michael Rose and he asked me how i have been and I explained the tablets he prescribed were a big help and he upted the tablets strength 20 mg and then to 30 mg in a few days time which i am happy to try I asked Dr Rose a few questions about the cause of my problem and was it from lifting items too heavy and I was happy enough with his explanation
