Dr. Malaviya is a respected Consultant Rheumatologist. He specialises in early arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis and has considerable experience using biologic drugs.
He earned his MBBS and MD from University of Mumbai and in 2006 obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians. He currently serves as Clinical Lead of the Rheumatology Department at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

Dr Malaviya was very thorough and didn't rush me at all. He was also very polite and had a lovely bed side manner.

I would highly recommend Dr. Anshuman Malaviya, he has really improved my life. I am 48 years old but felt like an 80 year old woman when I first saw him. I thought I would have to give up my sporting activities ( show jumping) as I was in pain and gradually was becoming weaker and losing the range of movement in my arms and shoulders. Dr. Malaviya seems to have exactly diagnosed my problem and treated it with success. He was very welcoming / understanding and knowledgeable. He is also very good at explaining the problem and also the treatment. I feel like he really cares and wants to work with you all the way.

Dr Malaviya has been completely brilliant. After diagnosing me with an extremely rare disease that nobody else had spotted in over a year of investigations, he has been on my side all the way. He has explained everything thoroughly and more importantly, listened to me and my wife and answered our questions. He has called to update us on my latest test results and to put our minds at rest when he knew that we were worried. His bedside manner is faultless and he is obviously an extremely kind man, who really cares about his patients and is prepared to go the extra mile for them, even though he is so busy. His dedication shines through.

Dr Malaviya s the first consultant who has ever given me hope. He was very clear with what is wrong and extremely positive about being able to help with the pain and how to stop the Ankylosing spondylitis from continuing to cause inflammation and bone/joint damage. I have had ankylosing spondylitis for over 30 years and Dr Malaviya is the only person who hasn’t simply told me that ankylosing spondylitis is incurable and nothing can be done. If you have ankylosing spondylitis DO NOT give up. Arrange to see Dr Malaviya.
