I had a consultant review with Dr Shaikh for the re-initiation and titration of medication for a pre-existing ADHD diagnosis, and I was extremely impressed with the care I received. Dr Shaikh reviewed my previous clinical notes in a timely manner, which allowed him to offer me an initial appointment very quickly. He was attentive, professional, and took the time to fully understand my situation and reasons for seeking treatment again. He came across as highly knowledgeable and experienced in ADHD, and the discussion around medication options was clear, thorough, and informative. I felt listened to and supported throughout the consultation. Following the appointment, I received my clinic letter very quickly and was given the opportunity to suggest any amendments, which were addressed promptly. Dr Shaikh also provided a letter of support for education and employment without me having to ask, which was incredibly helpful and thoughtful. Overall, my experience with Dr Shaikh was excellent, and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an ADHD assessment.

I was greeted by an amicable, polite & efficient receptionist on arrival and shown to the waiting room where member of the theatre staff would come for me and explain what would happen next. Kate introduce herself and on knowing I have profound hearing loss made sure that I understood everything. She prepared me well with the required eye drops and made sure I understood the process that would happen in theatre. Having escorted me into theatre she introduced me to Mr Shafiq, the surgeon and the other theatre staff. Mr Shafiq is very approachable and explained clearly what was going to happen. During the procedure he talked me through what he as about to do and what I would see. He was very reassuring throughout the whole procedure which took about 10 mins. He explained clearly about the eye pad, the eye drops etc and Kate made sure that I had understood this before she escorted me to the waiting room. Overall, an excellent team and excellent care; even better than I'd expected because of my profound hearing loss.

Mr Kumaran Thiruppathy

I saw Mr Kumaran Thiruppathy at Circle Reading Hospital in October 2025 for troublesome internal haemorrhoids. He quickly made an accurate diagnosis and clearly explained my condition and the treatment options, including rubber band ligation. I went ahead with banding of my internal haemorrhoids, which was done efficiently and with great care, and he talked me through each step so I knew exactly what was happening. Since then my symptoms have improved a lot, with much less discomfort and bleeding in everyday life. At my follow‑up appointment in January 2026, we mainly reviewed how things had improved after the procedure and discussed ongoing management and prevention. Mr Thiruppathy listened carefully, answered all my questions, and gave clear, practical advice. Overall, I’ve had an excellent experience under his care and feel much more comfortable and reassured now. I would highly recommend Mr Thiruppathy and the team at Circle Reading Hospital to anyone needing assessment and treatment for haemorrhoids.

Fantastic outcome. I am over the moon as I can now read without the need for glasses and not have to restrict my movements due to anxiety over night driving. I really didn't realise how much the cataract was impacting my life as the effects build gradually over a period of time. I was a little nervous going into surgery but the whole experience was very well and comfortably managed by the entire team. I can honestly say there was no pain. This along with the brilliant results after my first eye operation enabled me to actually look forward to having the 2nd eye done. If you are hesitating about your operation please don't, with my improved eyesight I now feel so much happier, lighter and am looking forward to the years ahead. After many months of difficulties prompted by the sudden loss of my husband, I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Communication with Kernow Psychiatry has been very responsive and I booked an initial appointment to discuss my mental health difficulties. Dr Reid welcomed me into a comfortable room at the wellness hub, she immediately put me at ease and took care make sure I was settled and ready to start. After the hour, Dr Reid summarised what she saw as the key priorities to getting me back on an even keel, suggesting a clear approach to addressing my intersecting issues. I am looking forward to my follow up appointment and the start of my recovery treatment plan. I only wish I’d followed my instincts sooner and booked in months ago.

My experience of the hospital was very good. The staff were amazing especially Jayne on Day surgery and David at the ward at night. The only downside that came to my attention is being told that there was no lactose free milk for my tea. The lady, I did catch her name, told me that she wasn’t aware of my overnight stay. She asked me if I was aware that I was staying overnight and I replied ‘yes’. She then went on to ask if I had put it in my forms prior to attending and I said yes. She kept on going on it wasn’t her fault she had been told. A bit of advice would be that she overshared. She clearly sorted the problem as the following morning someone had picked up the milk and I had it with my tea.

Dr Charlotte Frise is an excellent doctor. Despite the multiple complications I had, she had time for me even when she was off duty. She saw me through until I sailed through. I was never afraid at any point even when I couldn’t breathe and had oxygen of 80% on room air, I was motivated. Her smile was always soothing and reassuring, it felt like family. She treats patients like family and it’s heartwarming in difficult times. I begin to tear up when I express how I feel about the care she gave me. Am very impressed and grateful for her services. The NHS is blessed to have doctors like her.

The therapists and dietitians are very passionate about helping patients and clearly have a genuine desire to help people. The group therapy sessions and the structure of the day was very helpful in helping my recovery. When I first came I was a bit confused about a lot of things and maybe communication in terms of meals and rules etc could be better explained in a more compassionate manner. The other patients and staff are the most wonderful lovely people and I am so grateful to have met them.

Very good ,only thing is after surgery and just before final appointment I was asked for my bank details I had paid everything last Nov a month before my surgery they agreed everything was paid but wanted to have a bank card on record ,Why ? I was asked again when I went to see mr smith for my final check up ,absolutely no need if front of other people when I didn't owe anything it made me feel like I owed something even though she said it was a token just to have it on record

All staff, including the receptionist, were very nice and helpful. The hospital waiting areas and the consulting room were very clean and well maintained. There were unlimited free hot drinks and water available for waiting patients. Whilst the hospital does not have a car park, there was plenty of on-street parking available (charges varying up to £6.50 for 4 hours - enforced until 8pm), even on a busy Friday traffic wise after 4pm, when I arrived.
