My heart rate used to hit mid 30s hence a pacemaker was implanted and the recent review confirmed that it is all doing reasonably well. The Doctor and the teams were brilliant and most professional throughout.
My experience with the Cardiology Dept. Was excellent. The service was extremely efficient. I arrived at 15.26 for my appointment which was at 15.30 hrs 05/08/26. I was called in at 15.30 on the dot. Dr Mark Mason was calm, approachable, patient and listened to my concerns regarding my recent episode, He had clearly taken time to read the reports of the investigations and associated correspondence regarding treatment recommendations which were of major concern to me as I had many unanswered questions. I was seeking clarification which I received from Dr Mason. My GP made a referral for a second opinion to Harefield Hospital. I felt listened to, respected and fully informed throughout the consultation. The experience gave me confidence in the care provided by Harefield Hospital. Thank you for accepting my referral.

I attended for a follow up after a few years to check enlarged aortic roots. Dr Mason was exceptional - explained results clearly and was very patient and understanding. He advised me of the plan going forward (a further scan to check for any blockages in the coronary arteries). Excellent all around. Highly recommmeded
I was very happy with my consultation. Dr Mason listened to my concerns and has taken the appropriate steps to investigate my problem.
I have been with Dr Mason for quiet some time and have found him to be very supportive.
Dr Mason had a pleasant, and calm beside manner. He was patient, and did not hurry me. He listened to what I had to say. I felt comfortable. And I was happy with the plan going forward.
