There was a lot of waiting for drops to take effect as part of the treatment but the fact that everytime one of the staff passed they acknowledged you so you didn't feel you had been forgotten, a big plus in my book. There were many times when my DOB and name were checked. This made me feel secure as I think it made me feel that any mix up was very unlikely, another plus in my book. During the set up for the operation I was asked to look into the very bright light. Not a problem for the eye being operated on but keeping my other eye open as requested was difficult for me. Perhaps some form of shading for the other eye could be provided so that the natural instinct to close that eye could be eliminated and thus the natural effect of doing that affecting the eye being operated on. During the operation the surgeon needed to speak to me at times. I am hard of hearing and didn't have my hearing aids in. At times it was hard to hear the surgeon. The issue was worse when the "pump" noise was going. Some of this was the fact that she was a lady with a higher pitch voice, whereas I could easily hear the male voice in the room. I have the same issue hearing my wife for the same reason (I claim!). Perhaps it would be good if the surgeon established if there is a hearing problem and if there is, the voice volume could be raised. I realise that this is my problem but I cannot be unique in this case given the age profile of you patients. This visit was my second eye so I knew what was happening. However, thinking back to my first visit perhaps a slightly better introduction could be given to new patients as to what to expect with the intervals between patient staff interactions to help limit any anxiety they may feel. Also a bit more information regarding the after effects of the operation could help and anxiety at that time. I realise you will wince at this but I found a YouTube video of american origin that went through the after effects step by step and this relieved me as I realised what was happening to me was normal. Overall I was very pleased with the atitude of all the staff I met and the service they provided. Thank you very much.

I have been under the care of Dr Alistair Ring since September 2024, and from my very first visit to The Royal Marsden, I knew I had made the right decision to begin chemotherapy there. During our initial consultation, Dr Ring immediately put me at ease, even though I had just received a difficult test result minutes before our meeting. He took the time to explain the Oncotype test for example and the treatment options available, making it clear that every step of my care would be centred around me. Dr Ring’s attention to detail and his encouragement to ask questions gave me great confidence and helped me feel empowered throughout my treatment. Following chemotherapy, I began medication that induced menopause, and thanks to his early guidance on potential side effects and how to manage them, I felt fully prepared. I also appreciate that he has been open to ongoing conversations about my treatment, including exploring HRT options, this openness means a great deal. The clinical staff at The Royal Marsden have been exceptional. They have consistently provided compassionate, professional care, and I genuinely look forward to seeing them at each follow-up. They remember small details and speak to me as a person, not just a patient, which makes every visit a positive experience. I cannot recommend Dr Ring and The Royal Marsden highly enough. I am deeply grateful for the outstanding care and support I have received and continue to receive from the entire team.

I am writing this review to express my sincere gratitude to Mr Malik for the incredible results of my recent knee surgery. Before the procedure, I was struggling with a severely arthritic knee and a noticeable misalignment of my leg, both of which caused significant pain and impacted my quality of life. Mr Malik performed a total knee replacement using Mako robotic-arm assisted technology to ensure the highest level of precision in correcting my alignment. From the initial consultation through to the procedure itself, his expertise and professional manner gave me total confidence. The recovery process has been remarkably smooth—far better than I had anticipated. The outcome has been nothing short of life-changing; I now have an excellent range of movement in the joint with absolutely no pain. Perhaps most importantly to me, I am now able to walk completely naturally without a limp of any sort. I cannot thank Mr Malik enough for his skill and care. For anyone suffering from similar knee issues, I would highly recommend him and the robotic surgery route. It has truly given me my mobility back

I had cataract surgery on both eyes on 4th December 2025 and l was discharged today, 12th January 2026. I'm so pleased to say l don't need to wear glasses or contact lenses any more. From start to finish, my experience at Freedom Vision Chelmsford was exceptionally good - and my end result is superb vision. - more than l could ever have hoped for. Colours are radiant and bright, and probably the biggest bonus for me is feeling so much more confident driving at night. After undergoing rigorous tests and scans , the actual procedure is very quick and painless. All the staff, without question were delightfully kind people and I'd like to thank them all individually, if only l knew their names. But in particular, l'd like to thank Nicola who guided me patiently and expertly throughout the whole procedure, and a massive thank you to Mr Hove , my surgeon, for being such a genius. If you are contemplating cataract surgery, l urge you to go for it - don't be scared - you won't regret it!

I previously saw Mr Humphrey over 4 years ago for an unrelated foot problem, and was advised to avoid surgery which has proved to be excellent advice. After recently suffering a ruptured Achilles I saw him again knowing he would not recommend surgery unless he felt it absolutely necessary. He was thorough, examining me and arranging necessary scans and a more suitable boot, as well as making sure I took blood thinners for a further 4 weeks to guard against DVT’s. (Apparently he has written papers on this topic) . He explained the conservative treatment he proposed going forward, with clear timelines and outlined there were further surgical options available later down the line if my Achilles didn’t heal in the optimum way. Mr Humphrey was very approachable and I felt he had my best interests at heart. I would definitely recommend him to anyone experiencing problems with their foot or ankle. My husband was so impressed he decided to see Mr Humphrey himself for a long standing ankle issue.

I have been seeing Adrian for six sessions for treatment of two frozen shoulders, and he has been absolutely excellent. He’s very thorough in his approach and always takes the time to explain things clearly, which has really helped me understand my recovery. He has great communication with his clients and pays close attention to how I react to different treatments, allowing him to tailor each session to what works best for me. This has helped ensure the treatment is as smooth as possible and that my recovery is progressing well. His availability is great, and I genuinely feel supported throughout the treatment process for both conditions. Adrian works incredibly hard during every session, from start to finish, so I always feel I’m getting great value for money. I will definitely continue seeing him and couldn’t recommend him highly enough. If you’re looking for an osteopath, I would strongly advise giving Adrian a go.

On my last visit, there was a welcoming face at the desk who immediately greeted me. The place was clean and warm, and it was lovely to see the residents walking about and engaging with the staff and me. Banksfield has always been an extremely welcoming home. The staff are always friendly and approachable. The home is clean and warm, and my mother's needs are always met. The management is easy to approach and speak with about any issues or concerns. They have dealt with recent difficult events with an extreme professional manner, and have reinforced my belief that my mother is in the right place, receiving the right care. I trust their judgement and feel there is a strong partnership between the staff and me to ensure my mother's every need is met.

From start to finish Daye is intuitive and easy to use. I’ve done many online health tests prior to this but nothing compares to the level of service Daye provides. For clarity I did the full screen and purchased the 30 min nurse call. The sample is beyond easy to take and post. The results came back fast and were clear to understand, on top I was sent a beautiful kind email and was also offered a free call to over my HPV results. I didn’t use this but my 30 min call with the nurse was invaluable. I would have been happy to pay triple the price for the service I received. I will be 100% using Daye again and have already recommended to friends.

I had a check up and cleaning from the dentist Sonia. What a marvellous professional and friendly person. I am extremely nervous at dentist but Sonoa went above a beyond to make me at easy. She transmitted me calm and I'd never ever thought to feel calm at the dentist. I only hope she will not leave as well. I am so tired of OSD turnover of staff it's very stressful for me getting used to someone and than change it. Sonia is precious if I was OSD boss I'd do whatever I can to keep this kind of empathetic professional with me. Doc Sonia thank you from the bottom of my heart to make me feel special. The rehabilitation exercise programme was tailored to my needs, and I found the phone app provided to guide me through those exercises at home very helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this practice.

When telling him what my symptoms where he looked at my mri results from may June last year and said no wonder I was getting pain and pins and needles. He said that I needed to see a neck and spine consultant and that he would get it sorted asap. I was very pleased with the 5 minute appointment
