Mr Alex Kocheta

Mr Alex Kocheta is an acknowledged Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon, whose practice includes both reconstructive and minimally invasive procedures.

He qualified in Medicine in 1993 from King's College, London and went on to achieve Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) in 1997. He later completed his specialist Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery (FRCS Tr & Orth) in 2003.

In addition to his surgical training, he obtained a Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Engineering in 2003, graduating with distinction and a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education in 2025.

Clinically, Mr Kocheta specialises in all aspects of hand and wrist surgery, with particular expertise in minimally invasive techniques such as arthroscopy, as well as joint replacement procedures of the hand and wrist. He is an expert in thetreatment of hand and wrist injury and it's consequences. His practice emphasises personalised treatment planning, with a focus on restoring function and reducing long-term disability.

He is actively involved in teaching and research, being an Associate Medical Director for Medical Education and is a member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Association for Day Surgery. He is a member of AOUK hand and wrist trauma faculty.
