I am a specialist consultant orthopaedic surgeon focusing exclusively on foot and ankle conditions, with the aim of helping patients return to pain-free movement as quickly and safely as possible.
I treat a wide range of problems including bunions, sports injuries, arthritis, tendon disorders and complex or revision cases. My approach is always tailored to the individual, and surgery is only recommended when it is truly the best option.
Many patients I see are understandably concerned about pain, recovery time and outcomes. My role is to guide you through your options clearly and honestly, and to support you throughout your recovery.
I believe in a patient-centred approach, where every treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and lifestyle.
Most importantly, you will be listened to in my clinic.
Where possible, non-surgical treatments are explored first. If surgery is required, I use modern techniques and aim to optimise recovery, minimise complications and get you back to normal activities as soon as possible.
You will be supported throughout your journey—from initial consultation, through treatment, and during your recovery and rehabilitation.

The operation was carried out under epidural anaesthetic and I was awake the whole time. I was relaxed and listened to music and the conversation of the doctors and nurses as they carried out the procedure. A large cast was put on my ankle and I was released the following day with specific instruction not to put any weight on my right foot. After 3 weeks the cast was removed although still no weight baring. 6 weeks after the surgery I was seen again by Dr Nanavati, all visible wounds were healed well and the pain had sustained apart from my rear ankle region. X-rays showed I was continuing to improve. I had to complete another 6 weeks in the boot taking a few steps daily but no need to wear the boot in bed.

I thought Mr Nanavati and his team were excellent from start to Finnish, I was also looked after very well before surgery by his team and the nurses. Mr Nanavati explained everything very professionally about my foot surgery and made me feel at ease and very good at his specialty I would highly recommend him to family and friends thankyou .

Mr Nanavati is an excellent surgeon, his manner is very professional and talked me through everything I needed to know, he has fixed my ankle so I can eventually walk pain free after 2 years of suffering. I would highly recommend!

Dr nanavati did an excellent job on my toes before op I was in pain everyday due to damaging my nail beds on both big toes by wearing pointed toe boots since Dr nanavatis operation Im not in pain at all now and the nurses at St huges are just as great they really looked after me post and pre op thanks to all xx
