I had a breast augmentation done by Mr Naveen Cavale, on day of the discharge I have been told everything went well but a few days later nerve pain kicked in on right side , barely could walk , was not able to move my arm properly and cried my eyes a lot as could not bare it and I have been told by nurse to go to A&E if it is that bad but this was a private surgery so expected private care too in case of a complication like this. I felt constant daily nerve pain for about 3 weeks but sorted now. 8 weeks after surgery, I started to feel implant ripples of a sudden which to me are also painful especially on left side where is more noticeable at touch. It wakes me up at night if I sleep on that side. I am very upset as most women seem to have great results from this type of surgery in comparison with me otherwise I would have not done this at all in first place. I am also not happy as my upper body mobility has been restricted , I like working out and I have started to lift weights above my head two and half months later and I honestly have to say it is a struggle , not able to extend my arms properly as before and not sure if ever able again to do the workout that I was doing before surgery. Getting implant ripples is the most upsetting of all that happened especially when I made sure I take time off work to recover fully and followed the post procedure recommendations. Now I am worried that will get worse and have to pay again a lot of money for removing them.

From my initial appointment with Mr Hoo, I felt all my questions were answered and felt at ease, from the onset I knew I would choose Mr Hoo as my surgeon. I had done a lot of research for my procedure and felt reassured from my initial appointment. Pauline (Mr Hoo’s nurse) was also very informative and patient regarding any questions which I had. My surgery was booked and due to unforeseen circumstances had to rescheduled, Brenda in appointments was very helpful and offered me a cancellation slot which I was very thankful for. On the day of surgery, I was admitted into the admission pod and here all staff were attentive, I met with the anaesthetist and Mr Hoo and thereafter went to theatre. The theatre nurse and anaesthetist were so lovely, talked me through everything and I felt reassured. Thereafter, in the recovery ward, the nurse was excellent when asked about pain, I was immediately given pain meds which eased the pain and brought upstairs to a room which the excellent care continued. Mr Hoo came to see me and answer any further questions, truly 5* service from the onset. The hospital was spotless and attention to detail by all staff was exceptional.

My experience with CP&R…. has been fantastic…. everyone involved has been so very helpful…Becky….. Angela… Tom…. and my trainer Paddy….. (Patrick)…. he has been beyond amazing… from the start…. nothing but encouraging… always supportive…. I have had quite a few bumps along the way and he has always been so kind…. I feel so much stronger… and more confident…Paddy has a wonderful attitude…. full of kindness and nothing but encouragement…. he works you hard but understands one’s limitations… I cannot praise him highly enough…. and I shall never forget this experience…. he has become a lifelong friend…. and I wish him all the luck in the world going forwards…. I reckon CP&R are very lucky to have him!…. I would also like to say a thank you to you all but to Tom who stepped in a few times and was also so encouraging… and I always loved his texts of support…. Dr Thiraviyam Elumalai

I met Dr Elumalai first at Addenbrookes where he was reviewing all the tests and scans I had received there. He advised that if I had medical insurance he would recommend Genesis Care where the radiotherapy treatment could be carried out immediately rather than wait several months in the NHS queue. Other benefits were the insertion of a spacer gel to protect the rectum and minimise side effects. Also Genesis could provide the latest hormone treatment tablet, Abiraterone, which was not yet available on the NHS. At follow up meetings at Genesis, Newmarket, Dr Elumalai had all the test and treatment details available on his computer and could answer all my questions. He has provided reassurance regarding the long term effectiveness of the treatment and at the last meeting confirmed that my cancer was now in remission.

Arrived fifteen minutes before the agreed appointment time as requested. Waited a further 20 minutes before being taken into the pre Investigation booth. Advised to remove certain clothing and jewellery which I did. Ifudbt catch what the nurse ? Assistant quite says as she spoke so quickly. A reversed to this a that. I waited in the booty a further 10 -15 minutes. I opened the door. No one around. I went back into reception as I didn’t know where I should be. Wondering whether I should have returned to the reception. An assistant checked my details. Then a further assistant arrived and took me back to the booth. Scan itself. Could not understand the therapist heard part but again so quick. But held in there. Need more clarity clearer instructions. Speak slowly.

I couldn’t recommend Mr. Holland enough - he’s exceptional at what he does whilst also being an incredibly kind and caring individual. I came in to see him on 24th November with severe abdominal symptoms after receiving poor treatment from NHS A&E services. On arrival, and in good time, there was a huge que at the reception desk with only one member of staff trying to deal with patients. We waiting a very long time even to be acknowledged so, not wanting to be late for our appointment, we made our own way to the area A. We were then approached another member of staff in Area A who was able to give us the forms we should have received at reception. Knowing that a significant number of patients were due in the recetion should have been fully staffed with an expeditious way in processing through.

Mr Bagley stepped in after my previous consultant refused to attend. He hastily but professionally conducted my initial and confirmation appointments together and agreed to proceed with the planned surgery. I was very relieved. The surgery went well and all the staff involved were friendly and professional. I developed an infection after and had to see Mr Bagley twice but I was prescribed antibiotics and it cleared. At every step of the process Mr Bagley was professional and explained everything. I would definitely recommend him.

I noticed the cleanliness of the office and waiting rooms. A very polite gentleman dealt with our car parking charge and wished us well - this was noted too. We were also kept informed of why the appointment was slightly late - this too was most appreciated since others in the waiting room were going ahead of us despite having later appointments. Simple things do make all the difference. Appointment itself was efficient as was the subsequent X-ray test downstairs. All in all - very pleased.

The hospital was very clean and well maintained, and all of the staff were extremely helpful, caring, and professional throughout my visit. I felt very well looked after from start to finish. The food was good, there were free hot drinks available, and the physiotherapy support was excellent. Overall, it was a really positive experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Park Hospital.
