At my initial meeting with Mr Ud-Din he examined my hip thoroughly, explained the cause of my pain (which I endured for many years) with detailed reference to my x-ray and immediately recommended a full hip joint replacement. Mr Ud-Din explained how my hip joint would be replaced and size of scar to expect. Mr Ud-Din inspired confidence throughout our meeting and this has endured pre and post operation. Before my operation I spoke to Mr Ud-Din to understand the type of femoral stem, head, liner and securing technique that was going to be used; this information ensured I had a good understanding of what was involved and helped calm my nerves. 2 hours post operation I was able to put my full body weight on my new hip using crutches for balance with no pain. 4 weeks post operation I stopped using crutches, started driving after 5 weeks, no longer need pain medication and now have better hip mobility than I have had for many years. In my opinion Mr Ud-Din is a fantastic surgeon who has returned my body to the healthy state it was in 5 years ago...and for that I will be eternally grateful.

Dr Shaikh also provided a letter of support for education and employment without me having to ask, which was incredibly helpful and thoughtful. Overall, my experience with Dr Shaikh was excellent, and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an ADHD assessment.

I received my care at the Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield following a unicompartmental knee replacement in November 2025, and the standard of care throughout was excellent. From recovery through to the ward, the post-operative care was consistently compassionate, professional, and attentive. Every member of staff I encountered — from nursing and medical staff to healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, and catering staff — was kind, supportive, and clearly committed to patient wellbeing. Although I didn’t manage to note everyone’s name, those I did were outstanding and a real credit to the hospital. The physiotherapy support was particularly impressive. My post-operative physiotherapist understood exactly how far my knee should be bending at each stage and struck the right balance between encouragement and reassurance. This helped me overcome the understandable mental barriers around pain and guarding, and I was given a clear and structured recovery exercise plan to follow at home.

My son had a surgical extraction and the procedure was very calm and relaxed for him. I was able to be there too, so I watched the whole procedure and was very impressed at how clean the procedure was, resulting in a positive experience and successful extraction, ahead of upcoming orthodontic work. Waiting times weren't too long, although for private treatment we had hoped to be seen a little sooner than we were. I found the number of emails related to the appointments to be unnecessary and extreme. I was asked to complete a pre appointment questionnaire online. I did so and then received 3 further emails and a text message asking me to do the same. I have also received 4 emails asking me to give this feedback. Please look at your system. Filling your clients inboxes with multiple emails is not helpful for anyone.
