I came to the appointment feeling quite overwhelmed and unsure what could actually be done. Dr Cappai was calm, thoughtful and very easy to talk to. She explained things in a way that made sense and gave me practical strategies rather than just telling me what was wrong. I left feeling lighter and, for the first time in a while, hopeful.

My 19-year-old son was diagnosed by Dr Cappai. She was very kind but also knowledgeable and firm, and I think that her suggestion to make some lifestyle changes could really work well for my son. I was happy to see that Dr Cappai’s approach is not only “prescribing medications", but she seems to really care to personalise treatment based on the specific difficulties the patient is experiencing.

I cannot recommend Dr Cappai highly enough. She listened carefully and picked up on things I had not really connected before. I never felt like she was simply going through a list of questions. There was a real sense that she was thinking about me as an individual and trying to work out what would genuinely help. By the end of the appointment I had a clearer plan and felt considerably more optimistic.

Dr Cappai is an exceptional psychiatrist. What stood out for me was how thoughtful she was in trying to understand the whole picture rather than simply focusing on a diagnosis. She took time to explore what I had been struggling with, but also what was working well in my life and what could realistically be changed. I left with a much clearer understanding of myself, several practical strategies to try and, importantly, a sense of hope that things could improve.

A really positive experience. I felt listened to rather than judged, and for the first time in a long time I came away feeling that there were practical things I could actually do to improve my situation.

One of the things I valued most about my ADHD assessment was how carefully Dr Cappai listened. Throughout the appointment I felt heard, respected, and understood. I never felt rushed or judged, even when discussing personal challenges and experiences that I had not spoken about before. She asked thoughtful questions and gave me enough time to explain my difficulties in my own words. For the first time, I felt that someone genuinely understood the impact that attention difficulties had on my daily life, relationships, and work. The assessment was conducted in a supportive and compassionate manner, which helped me feel comfortable throughout the process. I came away with a much clearer understanding of myself and felt validated in a way I had not experienced before.

Dr Cappai was wonderful. Thoughtful, kind and incredibly thorough. I left feeling understood and much more hopeful about the future.
