I have been a patient of Mr clamp for 2 spinal surgeries, one at the royal derby hospital and the most recent one at the Nuffield derby, I have been very happy with both of them ,after being in pain for several years and now, thank you Mr clamp and your team for the care I received then and the after care I'm still receiving with regards Thank you LC Thank again

I was in serious trouble with back pain, after a lifting injury and had an MRI which confirmed I had impending Cauda Equina and needed urgent spinal surgery. I researched spinal surgeons and found Jonathan Clamp was highly reviewed. I made an appointment to see him and was immediately impressed with his calm, confident, knowledgable and pleasant manner. He explained all I needed to know and answered all the questions my wife and I were worried about. So, we chose him to do the urgent surgery required. I am so pleased we did. Throughout the pre operation procedures, the aftercare and recuperation Jonathan and his team were excellent. I felt in safe, caring hands at all times. The immediate result of the operation was euphoric! My pain was gone and I immediately felt so much better. The follow up, aftercare and physio support has been really helpful in me making a very good recovery. I had my last checkup and sign off with Jonathan Clamp last week, 2 months after the operation. Both my wife and I were extremely grateful for all he and the team have achieved. I genuinely feel I’ve got my life back. To be really honest, there were times in the last six months when I thought I would become disabled. I am now planning to continue my hobbies of Mountain walking and Blacksmithing, just as Jonathan Clamp promised when we first met. I thoroughly recommend him and will always appreciate his skills and professional work for me.

Follow up appointment from having L5 S1 fusion 6 weeks ago.

I had an extremely good experience. Explanation of the problem and how the procedure would help was clear and concise. I felt I was offered a first rate experience.

Consultation with Mr Clamp regarding sciatic pain and options. “Slipped disc” first week in August. MRI images explained so that I could understand. Injections instead of surgery proposed at this time given the multiple symptoms presenting. Very clear and concise consultation - honest and straightforward. I look forward (!?) to having the proposed injections and, at last hopefully, some relief from the terrible pain and discomfort sciatica is notorious for ! Thank you

My visit was for a ,6 monthly review following Spinal Surgery. I have had spinal issues for many years and I first met Mr.Clamp some 12 years ago. I have the utmost respect , confidence and admiration for him. He ihas a direct and concise way of explaining medical issues , but it is delivered with both sympathy and empathy. Although I still have some medical issues I truly believe that this man , through his skill , knowledge and dedication, has given me back my Life ! I will be eternally grateful to him .
