I identified Dr Stephens as someone who might be more suited to my age and sporting interests than my previous cardiologist. The difference in approach was like chalk and cheese. Dr Stephens explained the hunch he had, was willing to share surprise that a key test had been overlooked, it was arranged quickly and delivered professionally by what seemed a very experienced and knowledgeable team at Northwick Park (Mary and colleague). The results accorded with the hunch and were extremely good news. This was against a backdrop of having been advised to do three months detraining, not easy for me but doable if necessary, but without any real assurance that it would lead to a diagnosis. Twenty seven days of booked holidays cancelled with deposits refunded, the prospect of beta blockers for a protracted period, not able to give blood, not possible to continue with my previous travel insurer and always with the doubt in my mind that there may be an undiagnosed significant heart issue. I was amazed by the clarity with which the advice was given, the quality of the advice, the personableness of Dr Stephens and the speed/clarity of the communications. after the two appointments. I got lucky in being given enough info by a friend to take the decision to get myself seen by Dr Stephens. The experience has truly been life changing and I can't think of any other way of describing it. To say I am extremely grateful is a total understatement. I was also impressed by Libby and others in the administration team at Maidstone who seemed to handle everything efficiently and slickly. Overall, entirely faultless and massively impressive. I first met Mr Salih at Nuffield Health (Brentwood) in December 2019, as I had two very large sebaceous cysts on my scalp that were growing at an alarming rate. I was understandably a little nervous, but he quickly put me at ease by clearly explaining the procedure and the options available. The procedure took place just one week later under local anaesthetic. Mr Salih kept me calm and fully informed throughout, and it was over very quickly and completely painlessly. My hairdresser has since commented that she is amazed she can no longer see where the cysts were, as the scars are barely visible. He is an excellent surgeon and someone I trust implicitly, so I have no hesitation in recommending his services (I paid privately). In fact, I recently returned to have a further three cysts removed and once again received an excellent level of care.

The consultation was thorough and very professional, Mr Bhargava has a very good manner and following questioning and examination explained all the parameters relevant to my condition. Everything was first class from reception to the nurse checks to the kind person who took me to surgery, the surgeon was nice to talk to, the team in the surgery room were efficient and kind. Back on ward the nurses were so lovely. I had a wobble (previous trauma) which unexpectedly made me emotional. They were so kind, non judgmental and all in particular Anna took time to be human - show human support from one female to another. It was appreciated.

I was referred prof. Branley for possible sleeping disorders. Prod Branley walked me through all the aspect of what could be the reasons for my issue. He also asked a lot of questions about myself and my daily routine to get a full medical profile. He explained certain terminology and made some suggestions. I definitely would recommend him if you may have sleep disorders.

I really like the Cromwell Hospital in Kensington London. It's clean modern well organised and I like the consultants. The nursing care is absolutely fabulous and the nurses overall are highly trained and experienced. I recently saw Mr Davies for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. He listened to my symptoms and arranged quick and effective treatment.
