Dr Laura Ismail is truly an exceptional doctor and one of those rare professionals who redefine what outstanding medical care should feel like. She is, without question, the most knowledgeable and highly educated doctor I have ever met, yet what makes her remarkable goes far beyond her impressive expertise. From the very start of the consultation, she took the time to listen attentively and understand my concerns in depth. She explained everything with clarity and precision, taking great care to ensure that I fully understood every aspect. I arrived with a long list of questions, and she answered each one patiently and thoughtfully, never rushing, never minimising anything, and always making me feel heard. What impressed me most was the sense of reassurance she provided throughout the entire consultation. Dr Ismail has a rare ability to make you feel completely safe, supported, and confident that you are in the very best hands. I feel that she would never allow a patient to leave without feeling fully at ease, fully informed, and with a clear understanding of the treatment plan and next steps. Doctors like her are incredibly rare. Her unique combination of intelligence, thoroughness, empathy, and genuine dedication sets her apart. I cannot recommend Dr Laura Ismail highly enough to anyone seeking not only an exceptional doctor, but an exceptional human being.

After seriously injuring both ankles and a long recovery, it was a complete game changer when I started treatment with my physio Steph. She was friendly and professional and quickly put me at my ease. Steph was both flexible and methodical in her approach, measuring my progress, returning to exercises regularly, which I found helpful in maintaining my focus and my momentum. Steph was responsive and adjusted exercises where necessary but generally this was not needed as she pitched the pace and level of activity to be suitably challenging. Steph was goal orientated, encouraging and solution focused. It felt like I had a clear pathway to recovery and that Steph was really committed to my well-being and focused on helping me get the best outcomes. The centre have a range of treatments available including massage, podiatry and Pilates classes so that I could benefit from a holistic approach to my injuries. Steph has explained things well to me as we have gone along so that I have understood the rationale which I have really appreciated. Her expertise and care have been a huge positive during a difficult time. Thank you to Steph and all the team, I would highly recommend The Medical.

Dr John Philip O'Dwyer

I have had two appointments with Dr John O'Dwyer to date. On each occasion his compassionate, reassuring and attentive manner made me feel relaxed and heard - by listening carefully, asking perceptive questions to fully understand my situation, and by giving me ample time to think before I replied. In turn he responded to my questions with appropriate detail and language for me to fully appreciate the underlying causes of my symptoms. He had remembered me from my initial appointment so I could go straight into the second appointment without the need to recap previous information. Dr O’Dwyer sent his follow up letters in a timely manner which reflected an accurate, complete and articulate summary of our appointments; during the first visit I had asked him to document one of his specific statements, and he had remembered to do so. I have had many interactions with medically trained professionals through both my work as an auditor in clinical trials and of course as a patient, and it was refreshing to have been treated so well and provided with such high quality documentation.

I cannot recommend Dr Sarah Tang highly enough. From my very first consultation through to surgery and aftercare, she was absolutely fantastic, caring, professional, and genuinely empathetic throughout the entire process. Dr Tang immediately put me at ease. She took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and answer all of my questions, which made me feel completely safe and confident in her hands. She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and clearly exceptional at what she does. I felt supported every step of the way, and that reassurance meant everything to me. Although it is still early days in my recovery, I already feel so happy with my decision. This surgery has truly changed my life for the better, and I couldn’t be more grateful that Dr Tang was my surgeon. I would 100% recommend Dr Sarah Tang to anyone considering surgery, choosing her was the best decision I could have made.

10/10 experience. We had our 10 year old son assessed for ADHD. From the moment i called to enquire about the process and what are the steps involved to the actually assessment, everyone has been amazing. Steven in the front office walked me through the entire process, what to expect, costings etc. he was polite, kind and very professional. Dr Hollie Hearfield who did the assessment was lovely. She was so good with our son, she explained everything to us as to what the next steps are. I cannot recommend you enough to others who might be thinking of going private. Had an appointment with Mr Ofinran after a routine test found irregularities that needed to be checked. Mr Ofinran was great at explaining my initial results in more detail which gave me a better understanding and clarity that things weren’t as bad as I’d interpreted. I had a follow on procedure where Mr Ofinran took biopsies. He was considerate, explained the process whilst he was doing it, and gave me some great follow up advice about what to expect. My results consultation followed form - Mr Ofinran took his time to explain the results of the biopsy and made sure if I had any questions these were answered. I would recommend Mr Ofinran.

I was anxious and didn't know what to expect during my SABR treatment for Prostate Cancer, but during the Planning Scans, it was explained to me what would happen and how to prepare for the treatments. Every stage was well organised, professional, and caring. A dedicated team looked after me very well. The car organised by Genesis picked me up for my appointments, with the same driver each time, making me feel at ease. The treatment sessions were comfortable throughout. I am very grateful to the team who looked after me so well.

Mr Rahul Bhattacharyya

I would highly recommend Mr Bhattacharyya to carry out this form of surgery (arthroscopy). He was completely clear in what options were available to me, explaining the pros and cons of each one. Since my surgery , I am now approx 8 post and am participating in more exercise (strength training, circuit classes, Pilates etc) than I was doing prior to suffering the pain. He was completely approachable and empathetic.

professor Ali was without doubt extremely professional and explained the proceedures in great detail and outlined the possible outcomes in understandable terms which gave me real confidence that I was being expertly looked after. After I found a lump in my breast I was referred to Miss Luther and seen very quickly. All tests were explained clearly and results given calmly and every reassurance given. My questions and those of my family were all answered with care and clarity. Miss Luther has carried out two day surgeries now and I have felt in the best hands every step of the way. Alison and her team are excellent.

Very happy with my consultant and the nursing staff but (as I have previously said in feedback) that waiting area (on the first floor) at Parkside really needs improvement. The reception staff are unfriendly, talk noisily amongst themselves, the coffee machine was broken today, there are sirens (or alarms or phone rings?) going off regularly which is not good for anxious patients

I was seen very quickly once it was realised I needed a procedure. Every staff member I met was very professional, friendly, and polite, from reception to porters to nursing staff. I felt like I was taken very good care of throughout my visit. The nurse also explained everything to me very clearly and made sure I had a thorough understanding before my discharge.

. It’s not clear where the private department is (or any other) as no reception desk at hospital entrance (only a security man on other duties). When in 2nd floor private area do not expect trappings of luxury or flashy equipment. You do get kindness, attentiveness and skill and efficiency. Came out with problem fixed. No cafe.

Was left waiting to go home after op - communication breakdown between day staff & evening staff and no follow up appoint for stitch/wound check - had to change dressings myself and contact BUPA for arranging appoint weeks later. Overall staff were lovely but possible lacking in cover/number of staff availability.
