I was taken into a room that was obviously not cleaned after the last patient as their clothes were still there. My postop instructions were to stay warm. I was absolutely freezing after surgery because the nurses turned the heat down to suit another patient. I was on the end bed and no one came to check on me for ages so I couldn’t get another blanket. I told the nurses at least three times that I don’t eat dairy. I then had cow’s milk and dairy butter placed in front of me which is offensive. The nurses paid a lot of attention to the person next to me, but rarely checked on me. I felt overlooked. By this point, I just wanted to go home but again they prioritised other patients so I was late to leave.

I had an online ADHD assessment with Bernhard Kelley-Patterson. Bernhard was very friendly and professional, I felt at ease throughout the appointment and would happily talk with him again. So far my experience with Skylight has been very positive, the wait times between communication emails are generally 3-5 days and it took approximately 8 weeks to get my first appointment after the registering my interest. Considering the NHS waiting list for an ADHD assessment is 4 years, I’d say that pretty damn good. I would highly recommend opting for Skylight through the ‘Right to Choose’ pathway via the NHS. My follow-up consultation went perfectly. I described some of the symptoms I had experienced following my operation, and how pleased I was with progress so far. Mr McFarlane explained clearly what might happen during the next 6 months, and also that the tests on my tissue eliminated any doubts I might have had about cancer. He made it very clear that I could contact him (or my GP) if there were any changes to my progress. I left the Bath Clinic feeling very reassured that I had been in safe hands throughout.

He diagnosed a steroid injection once it became clear that the intervention was necessary which relieved my pain almost immediately. He then referred my to a physio who was able to treat me. Overall it was a pleasure to be treated by the Professor.

I had a full replacement of my right hip on 22/10/2025. Mr Soler and all his team were very professional and kept me informed at every stage of the procedure. I came out the next day and following a few visits back for physio was discharged on 11/12/2025. I am now able to walk for 1.5 hours or more both up and down hill. Thanks again to all the team.
