Trusted Foot and Ankle Care, Focused on You
Mr Sam Singh is one of London’s most experienced Foot and Ankle surgeons, offering internationally recognised expertise with highly personalised patient care.
He served as Lead Foot and Ankle Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust from 2005 to 2022, where he also trained the next generation of specialists. Through a fellowship programme he established, Sam personally trained 15 Foot and Ankle consultants across the South East, reflecting his depth of experience and standing within the specialty.
Sam graduated from the University of Cambridge and completed advanced training in Boston, USA. He is the only British surgeon to have been awarded a specialist Foot and Ankle Surgery fellowship from Harvard University. He now works exclusively in private practice, bringing nearly 20 years of NHS leadership experience into a setting focused on accessibility, continuity, and efficiency.
He treats the full spectrum of Foot and Ankle conditions, including sports injuries, ankle arthritis, bunions, hammertoes, Morton’s neuroma, Achilles disorders, and plantar fasciitis, using evidence-based and minimally invasive techniques where appropriate.
Patients value Sam’s clear, hands-on approach. Consultations are practical and outcome-focused, often including same-day injections, streamlined imaging pathways, and direct referral to trusted physiotherapists—reducing delays and unnecessary appointments.
Sam is also a recognised authority in patient education. He has served as Senior Editor for bunions and Morton’s neuroma for NHS Choices and regularly shares balanced, accessible guidance through podcasts and published articles.
His reputation is reflected in exceptional patient feedback and transparently published surgical outcomes, with over 800 recommendations on Doctify and nearly 500 on PHIN. High clinical volumes allow him to manage complex and uncommon cases while delivering consistent results for more common conditions.
Known for his professionalism, approachability, humour and calm confidence, Sam treats every patient with respect and clarity. He is a Platinum BUPA provider and a preferred consultant for all major insurers, with fees aligned to approved guidelines.

I’m a 59 year old, very active woman, and after two failed foot operations I was left with a severely deformed and complex foot. Running and road cycling are my passions, and I was determined not to give them up. After undergoing corrective surgery with Mr Singh, I can honestly say it feels like he worked a miracle. My foot not only looks dramatically better, but, most importantly, I can now fully return to the activities I love. I still can’t quite believe the incredible job he has done. I will be forever grateful. Thank you, Mr Singh.
My experience with Sam has been first class from beginning to end and I’m now 12 weeks post surgery. In all my visits to Sam, he has demonstrated great knowledge, communicated really clearly and instilled a huge sense of confidence in me as I went through major able surgery. I can not speak highly enough of Sam - a wonderful surgeon and great person.

Thank you-Really kind words that made my day
Overall excellent - Mr Singh is always very clear but in a positive way. 6 weeks after my surgery I am progressing better than I had anticipated which I believe is in good part down to his amazing work

Thank you and all the best for your recovery
I saw Mr Singh for plantar fasciitis. After a MRI he suggested a shot which helped greatly.

I am glad the injection helped. In select patients the plantar fascia injections really do work well
I had pain in my foot for the past 6 months, Mr Sam Singh was recommend to me by my physio and what a great recommendation it was. He took the time to understand the issue and treated it based off the MRI and what I was experiencing. No booty or surgery, 6 weeks of taping and taking it easy and I’m back to 100%. Highly recommend!

What a lovely review. Thank you
Very happy with the survey results and recovery period

I am guessing survey was a typo for surgery! Glad to have been of help
I've had plantar fasciitis for over a year and was starting to wonder if I'd ever run again. I've seen countless physios, consultants, had shock wave therapy , prp etc etc and I couldn't get rid of it. I searched for 'top consultants for plantar fasciitis ' and Mr Singh's name came up. He has helped me get back to running, something that is really important to me. He has also been an absolute pleasure to deal with. I'm now hopeful that I'll be on the start line of my ironman this summer, something I'd almost given up on before I saw Mr Singh. I can't recommend him enough.

My fixing your heel pain is a tiny tiny milestone compared to the ironman you are doing shortly. It takes one hell of a lot of fitness and discipline to complete an ironman. Good luck!
My recent visit to see Sam in April 2026 was for a painful bunion on my left foot. Upon examination Sam informed me that my big toe was also arthritic and he could deal with both issues in a single operation. I am now 6 weeks post op and contine to improve daily, so much so that I have returned to all of my normal activities including dancing, walking and some gym work.

So glad to have been able to help
I had bilateral bunion surgery & tendon release on my 4th toes with Dr Sam. He was kind and attentive throughout my treatment. I felt well looked after and that the doctor was very knowledgeable. My feet look amazing, 10x better. I am really happy with the results and have more flexibility than I expected.

Surgeons often shy away from offering bilateral bunion surgery but it works really well in select cases. At least 40% of cases in my practice have both feet done on the same day
Fantastic experience. I had ankle surgery, everything was explained in detail, any questions and concerns I raised were answered in a way I could understand and offered reissuance and confidence. I am now well on my way to full recovery. Many thanks Sam

thank you. i hope you are enjoying your now stable ankle
