I waited over an hour to be seen for my pre admission appointment. After being admitted and been shown to my room I was left for 5 hours in a cold room without anyone checking on me or giving me information about when my operation would be. Staff only turned up when I called and was then able to get some water as I was then advised that my operation was being delayed for a few hours. Short staffed. Slow to respond to buzzer calls. Staff always seemed to be busy doing something else other than looking after patients. Quite noisy ward during the day with people’s loud voices/laughing. Outdated facilities, no overhead bed light so had to have the main big room lights on all the time, which I could not control. I was moved to a different room after my operation as the first one did not have sufficient heating. The en-suite bathrooms are very outdated. Very short shower hose. In my second room there were 2 Rentokill boxes in shower. 50% of staff were friendly. I had major abdominal surgery. My night nurse was very compassionate and took very good care of me for 2 nights. I was discharged with the insufficient amount of painkillers to take home and without a physio assessment or much information about what symptoms to look out for and how to help recovery. I had to contact my own GP to get enough painkillers. Once discharged I had to walk with my husband all the way to the car at the pickup parking as there was no porter or wheelchair available. I had given 1h notice and then let her know again 10minutes before my husband arrived to collect me.

I always have a good experience when visiting the practice. The staff are always friendly. However, on the last visit I think there are things you guys need to review. I was in for a gel injection into my knee which was being carried out by Mr Dehne in the theatre. He had previously confirmed that it would be a simple procedure and that after a short time I would be fine to drive home. However, on arrival it was clear that the team believed I was in for a knee replacement. I was shown to my own room, asked to select from the menu for the following day, and given medication that I assume I didn't require! Further more, the team were loathed to let me drive home and I had to wait a couple of hours until they could check with Mr Dehne that it would be ok as all the paperwork confirmed otherwise. The theatre staff were double checking with me the reason for my visit so there was a checking procedure in place but you may need to review why there was confusion in the first place.

My experience with Quen was exemplary - at the time of first meeting him, my humerus had been fractured for 2-weeks & I was in pain, so he very speedily made himself available for a call to discuss the procedure, and once this had been done, booked me in for surgery the following week. On the morning of the procedure, he once again came to see me to discuss the procedure and let me ask any questions I had, which really reassured me. He then came to see me the morning post the op too, to discuss next steps. Ever since the operation, my arm has steadily been on the mend and this is no doubt down to the great care that Quen & the team have showed throughout. I've also seen Quen for two follow-up X-Rays where he has discussed the progress with me, and with this, I've been able to become more competent & confident in carrying out my day-to-day. I couldn't recommend Quen enough - not only has he been brilliant throughout but he's also a thoroughly lovely man.

Needed a routine hernia operation, didn't want to wait 4–6 months, chose Royal Free Private Patients based on surgeon's online profile and because profits go to NHS; also I have been an NHS patient at RF. Was seen quickly for initial consultation and got surgery appointment when I wanted it. Mr Iype did a tidy job of the surgery, I am now recuperating with no complications so far and very little pain. Anaesthetists were friendly and efficient, and Severo my nurse in my ward was helpful, reassuring and friendly. I had a ward room to myself, which my wife could stay in while I had the surgery. It was clean and roomy, though a little cold – take extra blankets. The lunch I was given after surgery was pretty good, and they were able to get a sandwich for my wife too as well as teas and coffees. All in all, went very well.

On my last visit, there was a welcoming face at the desk who immediately greeted me. The place was clean and warm, and it was lovely to see the residents walking about and engaging with the staff and me. Banksfield has always been an extremely welcoming home. The staff are always friendly and approachable. The home is clean and warm, and my mother's needs are always met. The management is easy to approach and speak with about any issues or concerns. They have dealt with recent difficult events with an extreme professional manner, and have reinforced my belief that my mother is in the right place, receiving the right care. I trust their judgement and feel there is a strong partnership between the staff and me to ensure my mother's every need is met.

Mrs Polly Ford was fine. I am very disappointed to wait a year and half to see someone about chronic pain that is effecting my every day life terrible. Leaving unable to work and care for my child how a mother should.. and I’m told to go back to my gp for pain med.. my dr ASKs me what i need regarding pain meds they are great, women with this condition need guidance and support. A plan is n place ?? It’s like a free for all with pain meds ?! Madness its Not just drugs… we need with this condition.. so sad.. i know NHS is on its knees. Im so greatful for everyone that works for them. They do the best they can with what they have. However my care needs are not being meet by Gynaecology. And I do request to speak to somebody else.

I had been considering eye surgery and attended Cathedral Eye Clinic to get a second opinion, having already spoken with a consultant in Dublin. Putting it simply, my experience in Belfast was far superior. The team at Cathedral ran a more comprehensive range of tests, assigned more time and personnel to my case, and were far better at talking through my options. In particular, I was very pleased that they were willing to give me their honest perspectives based on what they felt was best for me in the long run. Ultimately (based on their guidance), I decided not to go forward with any additional procedure at this time, but should I need treatment further down the line, I will not hesitate to go back to Belfast.

Main reception lovely and consultant was great. Imaging receptionist was blunt and frankly dismissive. Now paying invoice for consultation the original price was quoted on phone I found it’s £20 more which isn’t much but when you are self funding every £20 counts! When I complained I was directed to the fees as outlined on my original appointment letter which state it would not exceed £150 which it obviously doesn't but it wasn’t explained that the figure quoted on phone was only an estimate. Pricing should be communicated more clearly for those who don’t have insurance. So far, apart from consultant, a disappointment.

I am thoroughly happy with my overall results of my surgery with Mr Thomas Joseph. The discomfort I was in has hugely reduced to next to none. The service he provided was very professional and he made me feel very comfortable in and out of the operating theatre. Mr Thomas Joseph reassured me throughout my surgery when I got overwhelmed with it all and answered any questions I had. I would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to choose him if I was to ever need further varicose vein surgery in the future. The procedure was so quick from the start to finish. Very pleasant staff. The good thing is I wasn't waiting too long so I was straight in & out within an hour & a half. Dr. O'Donnell is very efficient & brilliant at what he does. He is a very nice person very down to earth. Highly recommend him if you're thinking about going to get any type of bein treatment at all. Nothing was awkward at all & I was made to feel very comfortable.

We highly recommend Dr Alibhai, he is a total pro at what he does. Both my sons had oral surgery with him about 1 a year apart. They both had all four wisdom teeth removed at once and had a positive experience. Dr Alibhai is very responsive and prompt, he is also available for after care if needed. For both my sons the pain and swelling was manageable. Dr Alibhai is a high quality surgeon, you can't do anything wrong with him.

Dr Xie was very polite and professional, explaining things clearly and with an appropriate level of detail. She seemed very confident when meeting us before surgery which helped to put us at ease. At the post-op she was very good and more personable which was nice. She never talked down to us like we have experienced with other surgeons. I am glad our surgery went ahead with Dr Xie.

Dr Ratheesh is an amazing doctor. I have had ongoing issues and not only was Doctor Rathseeth thorough , but was easy to talk to and I was made to feel very comfortable. There was also a follow up call to keep me in the loop and an in depth explanation of the issue and procedures to follow . Can't say more than this Doctor should be a benchmark for all.
