Here is my story. I am 72 and severely deaf (70-90db)! So without hearing aids its lip reading for me...... I was having problems with my new generation hearing aids supplied by a leading brand - which I had been using for 8 years or so. Three or four fittings and the experience was not great - muffled, croaky voices and poor sound dynamics (loud - soft). So I asked my Portobello GP if he had any ideas as it was time for me to check out another audiologist - either it was my hearing going down further or the hearing aids. He recommended Pindrop - saying it was the only show in town! Thats when I met Christina. First thing she did was an audiogram then a hearing-in-noise test in a booth. First time for me! Came as a big surprise that I had never been offered this test before. I was hearing only 48% of what was being broadcast. So she re-fitted the hearing aids using the new audiogram and then using REM software, adjusted the proprietary fitting program. Also new to me! We re did the hearing-in-noise test and it went up to 86%. So a big improvement for me and those who engage with me. Also real verification - not trial and error - which was my previous experience. So a big thanks to Christina. Christina then suggested I may do even better with the new Phonak Sphere hearing aids. Next generation using AI can reduce unwanted noise materially. So of course i said yes. And they are truly excellent - I have now been using them for 2 weeks. Much better than the previous brand. A step change. So my hearing experience has taken a huge jump up! So well done Christina on this. It is the most important hope of the deaf! The supply and setting up of the all the new equipment: hearing aids, moulds, back ups, roger, tv connector, apps was all done smoothly and efficiently. They also all hand shake very well - turn on the tv: it streams automatically. Same with online meetings and i-phone. No manual switching needed. Roger just works when turned on. So altogether a big win for me. Thanks Pindrop and thanks Christina. I will be even happier when Pindrop offers Whats App messaging to its customers - hopefully soon!

After seriously injuring both ankles and a long recovery, it was a complete game changer when I started treatment with my physio Steph. She was friendly and professional and quickly put me at my ease. Steph was both flexible and methodical in her approach, measuring my progress, returning to exercises regularly, which I found helpful in maintaining my focus and my momentum. Steph was responsive and adjusted exercises where necessary but generally this was not needed as she pitched the pace and level of activity to be suitably challenging. Steph was goal orientated, encouraging and solution focused. It felt like I had a clear pathway to recovery and that Steph was really committed to my well-being and focused on helping me get the best outcomes. The centre have a range of treatments available including massage, podiatry and Pilates classes so that I could benefit from a holistic approach to my injuries. Steph has explained things well to me as we have gone along so that I have understood the rationale which I have really appreciated. Considering i am a private patient very Dissapointed. 1. I was contacted after making the initial appointment asking where i had my MRI scans. I gave the lady all details only to be contacted again the next day stating they could'nt locate them. I then gave them more comprehensive details and was assured if any issues i would be contacted. I attended the practice for the consultation on 27/11/25 only to be told by Mr. Bacon we could not proceed as he did not have my scans. I proceeded to to ask for the pre med tests during which an anneasatist was very rude to me because unfortunatly i have a needle phobea. 2. Prior to the operation i rang to ask that during the operation day is there somewhere for my partner[ ie. in the ward room etc] and informed yes. She was informed on arrival at 6.30am with me that she was not allowed on the ward until 6pm . We had travelled 80miles to the hospital that day. If we had been informed prior too alternatve arrangements could have been made for her.

I visited the hospital to see an orthopaedic surgeon after having a fall at work and damaging my knee. I have had issue with it since the accident I suffered at work.I was advised to lodge a claim with my employers insurance. This I did because of the problems I am having with my knee. I was sent to see this gentleman so he could assess the damage to my knee. I was treated as if I was only there because I was lodging a claim and to have recompense for the damage I suffered and still am. He seemed very abrupt and I felt as though I was cross examined over the form I had filled in regarding my injury. I left the room feeling like I had done something extremely bad and wrong. I have never had to go through this scenario and very much hope not to have to go through another. I am a patient who has an injury that I am advised my a consultant needs an operation yet I was treated though I was feigning injury. I do not feel valued having attend at the one hospital.

I was seen by Mr Pringle this afternoon, for nearly half an hour. From the outset his attitude was one of calm professionalism. He took great care to explain to me in layman's language what the problem was with my left eye. He employed several complex-looking machines with which to examine the eye, and was comfortingly expert in the way that he described exactly what he was doing at each juncture. He seemed to understand my nervousness at having large machines very close to my injured and vulnerable eye. He was able to put me at my ease; and, he managed to keep me at my ease - which for a nervous soul like me, was just so important. At the end of the session I felt I knew what my problem was, and I understood what the prognosis and the likely timescale were. In conclusion, I can't rate Mr Pringle too highly.

Met Dr Maciej Danilewicz a few months ago at his Leeds office. Within 1 hour I had answers what I’ve not had for 39 years. I would highly recommend his service. Wasted years going to doctors for help. What they don’t do at your Gp is send you for a psychiatric assessment. They throw tablets at you and send you on your way. For anyone struggling with mental health I think it’s very important before taking medication to have a full psychiatric evaluation. To make sure the medication your going to get is for your condition as you may have underlying issues not just depression like I had.

I had a great experience at Cyprus ivf hospital. Aman was our coordinator and she was immediately responding to all our worries and questions. It is a clean and well equipped clinic. The prices were fixed and no extra expenses were placed. They let you now about the price from the beginning and you now as the procedure goes on, when and how much you have to pay. Transfer of the embryos took place only when the doctor was sure everything was ready. No rushing. They followed the correct protocol for my case and were always there for us any day any time! Apart from a reception that were unaware of their visitors - the building and facilities were excellent. Dr. Bradley is a practitioner who has a broad grasp of all areas of HRT treatment. Her extensive knowledge makes you feel very confident about the decisions you make with the doctors assistance. She is never rushed and allows extensive discussion about past and present research. I am extremely impressed by her professionalism. I left after my consultation feeling I had explored all the areas I had questions about but came away with a lot of new information.

Paid privately for Hip Replacement, initial appointment was disappointing with an hour wait, and a non interested surgeon. A few blips along the way, upon arrival on surgery day, they had me down for a knee replacement not hip, staff on night shift not the friendliest, and thet x rayed the incorrect hip after the surgery. Day shift were great and surgery went well. I will say I expected more for paying privately however the main thing I've had my surgery instead of the ridiculous wait time on the nhs.

Telephone answering machine usually and although tried to sort I was left without medication . Reacted to dressings again so not feeling good at moment 😩 Please remember conversation during the procedure makes it a lot more invasive. Hoping this time I will free from pain !

Dr Dinah was fantastic both during and after the operation for my ACL reconstruction . Was very transparent about everything and put me at ease that he knew what he was doing. 4 months on and my knee is already feeling strong again (also down to lots of rehab) but definitely shows his fantastic skills.
