Great experience wit Paul Deane. I had been suffering with lower back and hip pain for more than a year after Padel injury and seen 7-8 different specialists: consultants, osteopaths, chiropractors, other physios, tried acupuncture, shock wave therapy and was considering steroid injections. As I understand and as per MRI, it was bulging discs, labral tear and gluteal tendinopathy. Despite all the various treatments the pain was still there, so I stopped playing Padel, running, even swimming, even walking for more than 10 minutes was painful and I was slowly turning into a couch potato, which made me quite depressed! Thanks goodness a consultant recommended physio with Paul Deane, and after just 4 sessions with Paul and after doing the exercises he prescribed for just about three weeks, I have started to see a massive improvement. Pain is decreasing, affected muscles are getting stronger, walking is no longer painful, so I am confident that with this rate I will return to my usual self and even a stronger self in a couple of months. Exercises are simple to follow, and fun to do. Paul's instructions are clear, he listens to me and adjusts/tweaks the exercises when necessary and I will continue seeing Paul for the next several months until full recovery. From the minute I arrived for my operation I was looked after by friendly professional staff. I was desperate to have the operation to replace my hip as I had been suffering for months due to misdiagnosis by my GP. From seeing a consultant privately the waiting time was 5 weeks, which was amazing. I had a spinal block & was asleep throughout the operation. The post operative care was excellent & pain relief was discussed with me until I was happy with the medication prescribed. I had a double knee arthroscopy 4 weeks ago, I cannot find a single issue at all that could possibly be a negative in regards to my visit/procedure. The staff were absolutely amazing, the care I received was outstanding, the clinic was clean, welcoming and comfortable. Despite my reasons for being there, I think I can honestly say that I have had worse experiences on a 5* holiday than I had during my stay. I truly thank all the staff, consultants and surgeons for which, apart from the reason I was there, was a truly calm, comfortable, relaxed and exceptionally friendly time there. I honestly cannot thank them enough.

Directions to the car park should be better, ie if you put Candover Clinic in the sat nav you can't get to the patient car park for MRI without going out and sitting in traffic to get around the other side of the hospital. It could also be clearer where MRI is on the map (eg circled). It was quite confusing whether I was in the right place as was given NHS forms (is a shared NHS facility). They also told me off for not reading a leaflet but I didn't get a leaflet. The lady who completed the procedure was excellent though. Before and afterwards I felt a bit more alone and confused than at other private procedures.

From my initial email, right through until my actual operation, the removal of a large lipoma under general anaesthetic, the whole system was very smooth and everyone treated me with respect and kindliness. I am still recovering, but even when I’ve had a couple of queries about my recuperation, I have received responses within a short period from the relevant person, eg I had a question about exercise and was then contacted by a physio who was very thorough.

Mr Worthington was very polite and helpful and has a very friendly manner and gave me the replies to my questions and made me feel relaxed. I was asked to have a contrast C-T Scan which is arranged for next week. On the next question i have put down gallbladder disease as i am not sure what else to put down as my condition as i believe when the C-T scan is done it will show what ever has caused my complaint.

I had an initial consultation with Britany and have since been working with her on a personal rehab programme to proactively strengthen my core, glutes and legs. She has been brilliant.
