Lucio Health

Lucio Health is a London-based integrative medical service specialising in personalised, adjunctive support for people living with or recovering from cancer, as well as individuals managing complex or long-term health conditions. The service combines evidence-informed interventions with a comprehensive, patient-centred model of care designed to complement standard medical treatment pathways.

Lucio Health’s medical lead and co-founder is Dr Hariharan Kuhan. Dr Kuhan completed his undergraduate training at Imperial College London, where he also obtained a BSc in Surgery and Anaesthesia. He undertook foundation and core medical training in Central London, holding posts at St Mary’s Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, before developing extensive experience in Medical Oncology at leading centres including St Bartholomew’s, University College London, and the Royal Marsden Hospital.

He subsequently held a research fellowship at Barts Cancer Institute funded by Stand Up To Cancer and HCA Healthcare, focusing on metabolic vulnerabilities in cancer stem cells and circulating tumour cells, including the use of repurposed medicines and vitamin C in laboratory models. He later joined the Sarah Cannon Research Institute (Harley Street) as a sub-investigator on multiple Phase I and II solid tumour trials, gaining experience in translational oncology and the integration of next-generation sequencing into clinical decision-making.

Dr Kuhan co-founded Lucio Health with long-time associate Raphael Swery with a shared vision to create a service that is both patient-focused and forward-looking. Lucio Health aims to bridge the gap between laboratory science and lived patient experience—bringing insights from genomics, metabolic oncology, and integrative medicine into practical, compassionate, and highly personalised care.

The clinical approach focuses on understanding each person’s medical background, treatment history, and goals, enabling the team to develop tailored plans that support resilience during treatment, optimise recovery, and address factors contributing to chronic symptoms. Our care is aligned with each patient’s oncology treatment or follow-up plan, ensuring it remains fully compatible with standard oncology care.

Lucio Health provides structured assessment and follow-up, advanced diagnostic testing where appropriate, and ongoing clinical guidance. Where beneficial, this may include next-generation sequencing and specialised blood or tissue analyses to help build a clearer picture of each person’s health. These insights support more personalised discussions around metabolic, nutritional, and lifestyle strategies that sit alongside standard oncology care.

Treatment plans may include metabolically-targeted support (for example, using evidence-informed strategies that consider how the body’s metabolic pathways respond to illness and treatment), nutrition, movement, lifestyle interventions, and strategies to help manage treatment-related side effects. The team also supports people living with other chronic health concerns where metabolism, hormones, inflammation, or cardiovascular risk may be contributing factors. This includes issues such as blood sugar and insulin imbalance, changes in weight or body composition, chronic inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, hormonal disturbances affecting energy or sleep, and cholesterol or lipid-related concerns.

Care is offered through in-person consultations at 10 Harley Street or remotely via secure video appointments. The service operates Monday to Friday and provides an out-of-hours line for urgent queries directly related to the care offered by Lucio Health.
