Lucio Health is a London-based integrative medical service specialising in personalised, adjunctive support for people living with or recovering from cancer, as well as individuals managing complex or long-term health conditions. The service combines evidence-informed interventions with a comprehensive, patient-centred model of care designed to complement standard medical treatment pathways.
Lucio Health’s medical lead and co-founder is Dr Hariharan Kuhan. Dr Kuhan completed his undergraduate training at Imperial College London, where he also obtained a BSc in Surgery and Anaesthesia. He undertook foundation and core medical training in Central London, holding posts at St Mary’s Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, before developing extensive experience in Medical Oncology at leading centres including St Bartholomew’s, University College London, and the Royal Marsden Hospital.
He subsequently held a research fellowship at Barts Cancer Institute funded by Stand Up To Cancer and HCA Healthcare, focusing on metabolic vulnerabilities in cancer stem cells and circulating tumour cells, including the use of repurposed medicines and vitamin C in laboratory models. He later joined the Sarah Cannon Research Institute (Harley Street) as a sub-investigator on multiple Phase I and II solid tumour trials, gaining experience in translational oncology and the integration of next-generation sequencing into clinical decision-making.
Dr Kuhan co-founded Lucio Health with long-time associate Raphael Swery with a shared vision to create a service that is both patient-focused and forward-looking. Lucio Health aims to bridge the gap between laboratory science and lived patient experience—bringing insights from genomics, metabolic oncology, and integrative medicine into practical, compassionate, and highly personalised care.
The clinical approach focuses on understanding each person’s medical background, treatment history, and goals, enabling the team to develop tailored plans that support resilience during treatment, optimise recovery, and address factors contributing to chronic symptoms. Our care is aligned with each patient’s oncology treatment or follow-up plan, ensuring it remains fully compatible with standard oncology care.
Lucio Health provides structured assessment and follow-up, advanced diagnostic testing where appropriate, and ongoing clinical guidance. Where beneficial, this may include next-generation sequencing and specialised blood or tissue analyses to help build a clearer picture of each person’s health. These insights support more personalised discussions around metabolic, nutritional, and lifestyle strategies that sit alongside standard oncology care.
Treatment plans may include metabolically-targeted support (for example, using evidence-informed strategies that consider how the body’s metabolic pathways respond to illness and treatment), nutrition, movement, lifestyle interventions, and strategies to help manage treatment-related side effects. The team also supports people living with other chronic health concerns where metabolism, hormones, inflammation, or cardiovascular risk may be contributing factors. This includes issues such as blood sugar and insulin imbalance, changes in weight or body composition, chronic inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, hormonal disturbances affecting energy or sleep, and cholesterol or lipid-related concerns.
Care is offered through in-person consultations at 10 Harley Street or remotely via secure video appointments. The service operates Monday to Friday and provides an out-of-hours line for urgent queries directly related to the care offered by Lucio Health.

I have been under Dr Hari's watchful eye, and dealing with Lucio Health has been streamlined and easy; the notes I receive are concise, easy to read, and informative and extremely helpful. Thank you x
I am from India , taking telepathy with Dr Kuhan . Dr kuhan is very responsive to every single query . He is helping us in every possible way . I am grateful to him .
I am a resident of Vancouver, Canada, and was diagnosed with rectal cancer, staged as T3C N+, by the BC Cancer Agency – Vancouver Centre in early February 2026. My consultant told me that if I complete all standard treatment protocols (radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery), the seven-year survival rate could exceed 80 per cent, according to statistical data. Although a 7-year survival rate of over 80 per cent is considered a favourable prognosis compared to other more severe forms of cancer, I remain concerned about the 20 per cent who do not fare so well. Furthermore, the surgical removal of a section of my rectum and surrounding tissue would significantly reduce my quality of life, so I began actively seeking alternative treatment options worldwide. In March–April 2026, following extensive online research and correspondence, I opted for a treatment plan proposed by Dr Makis, a cancer specialist who is very well-known online. Regrettably, I was deeply disappointed by the standard of his service. For instance, when I consulted him on medical matters, I received no response for an entire month. Furthermore, the treatment plan he prescribed caused one of my liver enzyme levels—Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT)—to skyrocket to 1,062 U/L, leading to symptoms such as dizziness, seeing stars, unsteadiness on my feet and confusion. On 1 May 2026, I was fortunate enough to opt for the medical services provided by Lucio Health. From that moment on, fortune began to smile upon me.
Dr Kuhan and his team are outstanding. If you are wanting top of the range support and guidance then they are the best of the best!

Lucio Health has been really good to deal with. The links and information sent through have been helpful and easy to access, and on occasions they have also followed up to talk things through, which has been really reassuring. They are very approachable, responsive and have made the whole process feel smooth and supportive.
Hari is always a pleasure to speak to and totally lifts you even in the hardest times. Lucio health as a team always replies efficiently and promptly. I believe Lucio health has helped me through my pancreatic cancer journey immensely.
Dr Hari Kuhan is the most caring and best informed Oncologist we have met. We are so pleased and grateful for his medical advice and the patience with which he answers all our questions and concerns.
Dr Hari is always incredibly friendly, supportive and compassionate during every consultation. He is very open to answering any questions we have and provides clear, informative guidance on areas that can sometimes be difficult to get information about through our NHS oncology appointments. Most importantly, he is empathetic and takes the time to listen carefully to anything that is worrying my mum, making her feel heard and understood. She consistently comes away from each consultation feeling much more reassured, at ease and calmer than she did beforehand. We really value the time, care and reassurance he provides.
