After many years of treatment for right knee pain, I underwent partial knee replacement by Mr Jackson in November 2023. In short, things could not be going any better and the surgery has transformed my life. I lost a lot of weight before the surgery and have managed to keep that all off and have lost even more weight. I feel fitter now than I did in my 20s. I have completed multiple tough mudder obstacle events I am now a regular runner. I have completed many 10Ks faster now than I did when I was younger and run the parkrun every Saturday. I have completed one half marathon and am doing two more this year. Later this year in October I am running my first marathon ever and am in deep training for it already. I am aiming to run a sub 4 hour marathon. Apart from a little sensitivity when I kneel, I honestly would not know I have had the surgery. Certainly, when running, it feels as normal as the other knee. I am also a regular trail runner on the North Cornwall coast where we now spend a lot of time I’ve also been able to enjoy a couple of ski trips since the surgery with no adverse effects at all. I remember prior to the surgery struggling to walk 100 yards without the knee swelling like a balloon. Dog walks are regular too. As I have now retired, I am able to build in plenty of rest time as well so I wouldn’t want Will to worry that I am overdoing it!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful update following your surgery with Mr Jackson. We are absolutely delighted to hear how well you are doing. Your progress is truly inspiring, and it’s fantastic to learn how much your quality of life has improved. I will make sure Mr Jackson and the team see your message, as it will mean a great deal to them. We wish you the very best of luck with your upcoming marathon and continued good health and success with all your activities. Thank for trusting Mr Jackson/ our services to look after you.
Excellent, xrays taken as soon as I arrived then straight in to see Mr Jackson, a very pleasant experience.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback. We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a positive experience and that everything ran smoothly during your visit. I will be sure to pass your lovely comments on to Mr Jackson and the team.
I’ve known Will for over 25 years. He is probably the most genuine orthopaedic surgeon I have ever worked with. Very competent pair of hands. I would happily let him do my knee replacement- and may have to!
