After having ankle replacement surgery on 28/10/2025 which went very well from admission to discharge I returned today 16/12/2025 to have the plaster cast removed and fitted with a moon boot. My overall experience with Nottingham City Hospital and Mr Raglan and his team was more than satisfactory and in no way an unpleasant experience due to the excellent care of everyone involved with myself. I felt that every step was explained to me in a concise manner and I felt confident this was the right path for me. Anyone needing ankle replacement surgery should be reassured that Mr Raglan, his team and all the nursing staff will care for you In a befitting manner and there really is nothing to worry about. Mr Gercek manner was warm, approachable and reassuring from the initial consultation to the follow up appointment. He explained the procedure, why he thought it was most appropriate, and the pros and cons. On the day of the operation he again explained the procedure and afterwards reassured me as to the success of the procedure and reminded me of the precautions to take to maximise recovery time. In the follow up appointment he ascertained how I felt about the recovery and examined the abdomen area to confirm a successful outcome. Throughout he was very professional whilst being mindful that reassurance is important for the patient. I would thoroughly recommend my Gercek in anyone considering similar surgery.

I am so lucky to have been helped by Dr Sanda. From the very first appointment with her, I felt better about my condition. Dr Sanda has helped me to live with tinnitus and not let it ruin my life. Through CBT she has given me the tools to not fear tinnitus. I cannot believe how much better I feel. Of course the tinnitus is there, but by accepting and not fearing it, the brain adapts and I can have long periods of not noticing it. I can sleep with no props. Dr Sanda is also a very kind and approachable doctor. Her advice and explanations make sense. I was so fortunate to have found her at a time when my anxiety was rising. She has taught me that you can feel better with the right help.

Dr Fallico is highly skilled and professional in her field. I had a zero doubt and completely trusted her as everything was explained in details. The comfort she provides, it allows one to ask any kind of questions possible. The whole procedure gave me a comfort that it felt like being looked after by a family member. Most importantly, the result is fantastic ( almost invisible scar ) and the after care was exceptional. We emailed with pictures many times and all my worries were answered with plenty of reassurance. Personally, if I will be needing anything that requires surgery I will be contacting Dr Fallico again and highly recommend to anyone else.

I have been attending Cathedral Eye Clinic since May, when Mr Niraj Mandal carried out cataract surgery on my left eye. A follow-up operation to stitch the iris was also successful. Although I still experience some blurring at distance, tests show 6/6 vision, and this is due to be corrected with laser treatment in the New Year. I am very pleased with the way the consultations and overall service have been carried out. The care has been professional and reassuring throughout, and I am looking forward to improved distance vision in 2026
