Moving to a new country was supposed to be an exciting fresh start, but instead I found myself struggling with depression and anxiety in ways I'd never experienced before. She created such a compassionate space whilst also helping me develop practical strategies to manage both the depression and anxiety. I'm still in therapy, but the difference is remarkable. I can handle difficult days so much better now. I've got tools that actually work, and more importantly, I've found hope again. I can see a future here that feels possible, even good. The anxiety doesn't consume me the way it did, and the depression has lifted enough that I can engage with my new life rather than just surviving it. I went to Dr Kushan after a first seizure which happened while abroad. At our first consultation Dr Kushan explained the next steps, and I was promptly seen for a blood test, MRI and EEG. I was really impressed and grateful for the speed at which he got me seen and that he was able to make a diagnosis and tell me the next steps. I always felt informed and reassured, and he took the time to explain everything clearly and answer my questions. His calm and professional manner made what could have been a very stressful experience much easier to deal with.

Waited about 20min for my appointment with consultant Then during my meeting with him He took a non urgent phone call my appointment that lasted approximately 10-15 mins He discharged me despite me saying I am getting lots of pain that disrupts my sleep and painkillers don’t help! I would have liked to have been referred to physio. But I was not offered it or anything except lift your arm forwards!

Everyone was aware of my fears and needle phobia. I was made to feel as comfortable as possible. My daughter was made very welcome as I wouldn’t have been able to cope without her support. The only small complaint was that the heating wasn’t working properly in my room so it was chilly before surgery but a portable heater had to be brought in afterwards as I was so cold.
