I was referred to Mr Dowen for total hip replacement surgery and I am so pleased I was. Mr Dowen is an excellent surgeon who I feel, goes that extra mile to ensure the outcome was the best it could be. The surgery was a total success and because I have other issues relating to my back and not connected to my hip surgery, Mr Dowen is keeping my file open to refer me to a spine consultant in the future, should I require further intervention. Very efficient, clean and high standard as expected. As an aside, I really did appreciate the way the receptionist wrote my date of birth on a piece of paper and asked me quietly if it was correct. I intensely dislike the way receptionists in surgeries etc shout out so loudly, "DATE OF BIRTH??" in public. No discretion or politeness anywhere as a rule. More importantly, perhaps, the doctor was very helpful, efficient and very kind.. Thank you.

I saw Gabrielle today for a suspected issue related to planta fasicitis and a pronated foot. Gabrielle was an attentive listener, kind and empathetic. She explained the functions of the muscles and ligaments very clearly so I was able to gauge a full picture of my gait and my overall foot health. I found her friendly, professional, engaged, attentive, positive and both interesting and interested. I'd highly recommend her as a practitioner.

Gavin is great at osteopathy and pain relief and especially for back pain and includes some physiotherapy type massage to help loosen things up when they have got too tight. I really rate him for calmly addressing the probable causes and quietly sorting them out. I will be going back whenever things get out of hand on the golf course or because i do something silly in the gym.

I cant be more positive about my experience, the hospital is spotless and staff are so professional and friendly. I had just the right amount of sedation and felt so comfortable during my procedure. I woke up to ample hot chocolate and cheese sandwiches. Professor East was really professional, engaging and reassuring. Just such a wonderful team and a great hospital.
