I initially booked a half hour consultation having suffered from acute urinary retention and therefore 3 months use of a catheter due to Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. I found Mr Su-Min Lee very easy to talk to as he has a great sense of humour which put me at ease. He took time to explain the options available to me and let me decide on the best course of action. He was very informative and I didn't feel rushed at all. A couple of days later I decided to go ahead with a Holep operation. I paid to have this privately in my local NHS hospital, Southmead in Bristol. I was offered a date that was about 3 weeks after my initial consultation. He met me again on the morning the surgery to put me at ease and the treatment that I received from the medical team at the hospital was very good. It is now 6 weeks post operation and as far as I am concerned it was a success. My urinary issues are resolved with the exception of the expected slight bit of stress incontinence which is improving daily.

He was there when I woke up from the surgery to inform me all went well and he visited to check on me almost every day during my stay at the hospital. My recovery has been on track so far without any complications. Dr Taylor is very organised and I was able to message him directly and always received quick responses from him which is very reassuring. Even he has updated about my surgery and the outcome of it to my GP directly on the same day. I was so impressed with that. I cannot recommend Dr Taylor highly enough. I can’t thank Mr Radley and the team at Harborne Hospital enough. It was my first experience of needing surgery. Mr Abdelrahman was so kind and understanding of my condition from the get go. He was extremely clear in his diagnosis and what I would be having done with my operation. He was kind and caring in his manner and you can tell he really enjoys his job and helping people. The whole Team at Queens Burton Hospital have been so supportive and helpful with me, putting my mind at ease and it has been a smooth recovery process, I am healing well but know they will be there for me if I need them until my next appt in 6 months time.
