I cannot recommend Miss Shalini Chawla highly enough. After a long awaited pregnancy following five years of IVF, this journey meant everything to us. At my 28 weeks scan we were told we were expecting a large baby, and given that I am 45 and this was my first pregnancy, we knew we wanted one dedicated consultant to coordinate and oversee our care. For that reason, we decided to go private. After meeting several obstetricians, it was immediately clear that Miss Chawla was the right choice. From our very first appointment, she was personable, empathetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and instantly put a set ease. No question was over too small or silly, and she made herself available to us 24/7, which was invaluable during section anxious time. Miss Chawla got to work straight away. During her initial assessment, she identified the possible early stages of preeclampsia, arranged all the appropriate blood tests and scans promptly, and began planning ahead, including scheduling a potential delivery date. Her organization and forward planning meant that we never had to worry - everything was taken care of. Her communication skills are truly second to none. She kept us updated daily, even while she was on holiday, often checking in by text to reassure us and explain us the next steps. When my water is broke unexpectedly at 33 weeks, all plans changed. Despite the situation being frightening and stressful, Miss Shalini Chawla was immediately on hand, overseeing every aspect of my care and leading the team through an emergency cesarean section. Throughout it all, I had complete confidence that she would deliver our baby safely and she did. Her care did not stop after delivery. Her after care has been exceptional, checking in daily and continuing to do so even three weeks later. That level of dedication, compassion, and commitment is rare. Miss Chawla is an outstanding obstetrician, and I will be forever grateful for the care she provided. I would wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend her to anyone seeking exceptional maternity care.

I’ve seen many aesthetic doctors and practitioners before, and Dr Alek is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. Previously, consultations felt rushed — numbing cream applied, a quick question about what I wanted, and straight into the procedure. With Dr Alek, it was completely different. We began with a thorough consultation where we discussed my concerns, the procedures I was interested in, and everything I’ve previously had done — including where, when, and any medications I’m on. He then did a full facial assessment, looking at proportions, symmetry, and structure. He carefully felt for any existing filler or lumps, explained what they were, and clearly walked me through what we can and can’t do moving forward. Everything was explained in a way that was detailed yet easy to understand. We created a thoughtful plan of action together, and what stood out most was that he never once tried to “sell” me on anything — something I’ve experienced with every other practitioner before. It’s immediately clear that he truly cares about his patients, has an incredible passion for what he does, and an exceptional eye for detail. He really knows his craft. Today we did Botox, and it was genuinely pain-free. He is precise, intentional, and incredibly gentle. As soon as I left, I couldn’t wait to call my husband and tell him how amazing the experience was. I’ve now officially joined my group of friends who cannot recommend Dr Alek highly enough. I had been advised against the op by friends and family due to questionable social media reels regarding the potential for things to go wrong and the low level of concern for the individual. I know today that if I had not done it my life would look very bleak in just a couple of years. I had prepared for a general anaesthetic but was happily surprised with the epidural and local injections. I clearly underestimated the intrusion and how much I needed to take regular medication afterwards. I also needed to top up with more medicine after 3 weeks. I’ve am also very grateful for the care and focus on making the scar so neat and the limited damage caused around the knee. I hardly brushed at all. A good physio and movement is key. 6 weeks after the op I can drive a manual and walk with no crutches.

My experience of the hospital was very good. The staff were amazing especially Jayne on Day surgery and David at the ward at night. The only downside that came to my attention is being told that there was no lactose free milk for my tea. The lady, I did catch her name, told me that she wasn’t aware of my overnight stay. She asked me if I was aware that I was staying overnight and I replied ‘yes’. She then went on to ask if I had put it in my forms prior to attending and I said yes. She kept on going on it wasn’t her fault she had been told. A bit of advice would be that she overshared. She clearly sorted the problem as the following morning someone had picked up the milk and I had it with my tea.

The physiotherapist seemed unconcerned by the pain I have been experiencing for nearly a year. He mentioned that I had full movement and so he was not concerned. He kept saying that he would not give me another steroid injection without acknowledging that I didn’t want one. He told me to do some exercises which he showed me how to do once and gave me no paperwork or YouTube link that might assist when I got home. I tried to ask how long I should wait before I made any further action and he said there is no more treatment. I felt like an inconvenience and wish I had gone somewhere else. I would never recommend anyone to see him again. He really made me feel small and insignificant.

Thyroid blood test. Never been before. Autistic so some challeges : a sign on door to push would have helped, it was intimidating, couldn’t get in straight away. An area with reduced lighting to wait would have reduced my overwhelm, was very close to waiting outside. Became very overwhelmed trying to explain which test I had booked, knew there was a fault on the website. Although the situation was rectified satisfactorily, it was still an overwhelming, triggering experience.

My appointment was 10 o'clock but I was not seen until 10:25 without any courteous apology or advise of the delay until I was in with the dentist. I appreciate that delays can happens with the treatment of the customers before me but a courteous apology and advice of the estimated wait would have been appreciated as my car was parked in a pay and display area.

I Had A Partial knee replacement at Nuffield Mr Nargol did operation i can only say I have been very impressed I was only in hospital over night I listened to what I was told followed all instructions /dos and don’t did exercise and 6 weeks later I’m walking with out any crutches or stick. Only take paracetamol when I need it which is usually at night but even that is getting less and less So pleased I had the operation
