Being diagnosed with breast cancer was one of the most frightening moments of my life. Everything felt overwhelming — the uncertainty, the fear, the endless questions running through my mind. But the moment I met Miss Iqbal, something inside me shifted. She brought a calm, gentle reassurance that instantly put me at ease. She spoke to me with kindness, understanding, and total honesty, and from that first meeting I knew I was in the safest hands possible. Throughout every stage of my treatment, Miss Iqbal treated me with dignity and genuine care. She didn’t just explain things; she made sure I truly understood them. She listened to my worries, answered every question, and never made me feel rushed or dismissed. She treated me as a person, not just a patient, and that made all the difference during such an emotional and challenging time. As for the surgery itself — I am still in complete awe. The results have been absolutely amazing, far beyond anything I could have hoped for. The precision, skill, and detail in her work are mind-blowing. I am so pleased and relieved with the outcome. She didn’t just operate on me; she helped give me back my confidence, my comfort, and a sense of myself that I thought I might lose. I will never be able to thank her enough for that. What stands out most about Miss Iqbal is not only her exceptional surgical expertise, but the compassion and warmth she brings to her work. She made me feel strong when I felt weak, supported when I felt scared, and cared for when I felt alone. She carried me through one of the hardest chapters of my life with kindness, patience, and unwavering professionalism. I will forever be grateful to Miss Javeria Iqbal and her incredible team. She has changed my life in ways I can’t fully put into words. It was a pleasure to meet with Matt Wright again following our consultations and procedures in 2019 and before, when he cured my atrial fibrillation. Thanks to his specialist care, I have been able to successfully carry on running my antique business from my gallery in Pimlico.. Accordingly, it was very reassuring to discover that he had recognised my name after my recent visit to A and E at St Thomases and had been advising on further tests and treatment following the analysis of my seven day monitor. Having explained to him that I had stopped taking the prescribed Bisoprolol 2.5 mg after three days, as it very quickly took my blood pressure down to 50, he recommended that I re-start on 1.25 mg. This reduction appears to have so far done the trick, as my pulse has dropped to mid 60s which is bearable. In conclusion I am so relieved to once again know that Matt is keeping an eye on me and that his ear is available should I need reassurance.

I have been receiving treatment following ACL reconstruction (with LET and meniscus repair), and I am genuinely impressed with the level of care and professionalism I have experienced. Lee consistently explains each exercise clearly, checks my progress carefully, and adjusts my programme so that I always feel safe but challenged. His encouragement and attention to detail have made a noticeable difference in my recovery and my confidence. During one of my session, Lee even took me to the gym and guided me through three leg machines, explaining how this next stage will help me progress. His support and reassurance that I’ll start seeing big improvements mean a lot to me. I truly appreciate the time, patience, and expertise he brings to every session. I feel well supported and motivated, and I am very grateful for the high-quality care he provides. I am very much looking forward to continuing my recovery with Lee.

The third lower back operation, to free my sciatic nerve. My first going private and it was well worth it. I was very assured by Mr Bhagawati’s initial promise that he could free the offending and constantly painful nerve. He had reviewed my MRI and showed and explained what the problem was. My admittance to the Cobham Clinic was timely and staff were brilliant. Mr Bhagawati saw me post op and explained exactly what he had done and that he considered it a success. He was also available to speak to, on the phone, a couple of weeks after the operation when I had a concern. Upon seeing him at the Spire Hospital, he explained in detail, what he’d done and I could assure him that I am recovering well and am extremely happy with the outcome. If I do have any concerns, I can get in touch with him within the 12 months following the operation.

I had a lumbar microdiscectomy at St Anthony’s and the care I received was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly kind, patient and attentive throughout my stay. In the post-operation recovery area, the Irish nurse who looked after me was especially wonderful. I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name — I was still a bit loopy after the anaesthetic — but she was unbelievably kind, gentle and reassuring at a moment when I really needed it. On the ward, Rose was also fantastic. She checked on me regularly, made sure I was comfortable, and was so warm and supportive. Her kindness made the first night after surgery much easier. Overall, the team at St Anthony’s made what could have been a very stressful experience feel calm and safe. I’m really grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend the hospital.

Dr. Muheden was kind and attentive to my concerns and provided exceptional care during my visits. His attention to detail and genuine concern made all the difference and he ensured I understood every step of my treatment. The entire Pixie and Sera team was extremely professional from scheduling either online or by phone to reception at the clinic. They all ensured I was seen within minutes on my appointment days. Keep up great job! Suggestion - If we could get appointments and at least tests and labs done over the weekends. Maybe half days on Saturdays? It is hard for some of us to come on weekdays hence all my appointments had to be done late in the evenings. If I had an option for Saturday I would've preferred that than late in the evenings. Thank you!

I reached out to Nadira at one of the hardest times of my life and literally had no support/help from her whatsoever. As she continually reminds everyone she is a full time mother and a full time NHS GP I don’t understand how she thinks she has the time to open a menopause clinic as she has shown me. Takes weeks to reply to any correspondence. Also she certainly has NHS GP mentality on any HRT. She has no up to date knowledge and is very nervous and unsure whilst in a consultation with her. She quoted lots of things that were wrong and outdated as new evidence has suggested. I would not waste your money and go to Menopause specialist who is only doing this full time.

I booked a private appointment with Dr Mohammed following an admission to hospital and some cardio concerns that had been going on for some time, I had an initial appointment with a follow-up. As someone with multiple chronic conditions, Dr Mohammed is by far the most effective and thorough doctor I have spoken with and I felt heard. I am now being treated for pots and Dr Mohammed has written letters to my GP and appropriate hospitals for next steps, I now feel like I have a plan in place moving forward. I would recommend Dr Mohammed and his secretary, Carol, is really quick in sending reports and is there to answer any additional questions - she’s great. Thanks both!

The staff were so kind and helped me to relax when I went for egg collection. The Embryo transfer was a beautiful moment and they ensured it was marked with a photo of the embryo being transferred and a hand written card. Unfortunately, our first transfer was unsuccessful but I know we are in safe hands for our next steps. The admin team in particular have been amazing - responsive, sensitive and friendly. From the very beginning he has helped my eyes so much and even saved me from having a cornea transplant with his treatment on my badly scarred left eye. Attending appointments at HCA at the Shard is always smooth. Its convenient location makes it my preferred clinic. Two points to mention, or areas for improvement: - Broken automatic glass door, it's been broken for awhile, unsure why not fixed yet. - The reception staff at the main reception downstairs were snacking on prawn cocktail crisps whilst attending visitors which I thought lacked professionalism.
