I had four visits to Sarum Urology and New Hall Hospital, with my wife. The first visit was to see Mr Johnston, which was a very busy outpatient surgery. However once in front of Mr Johnston, he had the scans and reports from the NHS Hospital at Winchester, which had suggested that Salisbury and HoLEP would be necessary. We discussed the need for the operation, and he answered our questions. He explained that the normal wait would be extended because of holidays, but it was reasonable at 2-3 months. We then returned just before the operation for a pre-op assessment and advice with a nurse, which was to the Hospital itself, so very straightforward. For the operation I was treated in the New Hall Hospital, Salisbury, which had a very relaxed atmosphere. The room was excellent, and the food and teas etc straightforward. I saw Mr Brewin and the anaesthetist before the op. the weather was good so we could even have a walk around the grounds. in the afternons following the op. Post operation checks and tests with the ward sister gave excellent results, such that I was home within 3 days. I was advised on the test results to the removed material, and this was followed up 3 months later by Mr Brewin. No problems found at all.

We had such a wonderful experience with Paediatric Diagnostics. Both of my children (aged 2 and 11) needed blood tests and a faecal calprotectin test, and I was honestly dreading it — especially for my toddler. But the team were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. They took their time and never rushed us, making sure both children were completely at ease. The staff were so kind, patient, and reassuring, and their calm approach made what could have been a really stressful experience feel relaxed and positive. The clinic itself is so thoughtfully set up — from the toys and little treats to the drinks and friendly atmosphere, everything is designed to make children (and parents!) feel comfortable. I can’t thank them enough for turning something I thought would be traumatic into such a calm and even happy experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Paediatric Diagnostics to any family.

Excellent - I had been told by another Dentist that a pre molar tooth would require a crown when a .5cm filling they put in fell out so I consulted Dentalessence, and thanks to Joanna at front of house my email was seen by Zayd who amongst other things specialises in onlays and he used this procedure to restore my tooth. The staff at Dentalessence are absolutely lovely and went out of their way to help me by arranging to see me quickly and out of hours so thank you very much to Zayd and Brooke for staying late. As a result of this experience I have now changed my Dentist to Dentalessence who offer a wide range of treatments in house and modern dentistry techniques that help to preserve the natural tooth which is a very welcome change! Mr Deshmukh performed laser treatment on me after I developed a post cataract surgery problem. The diagnosis and action was very quickly and professionally undertaken, within the same day. The charges were clearly explained to me as well as the passible chances of side effects. My surgery was performed and it turned out that there were no adverse side effects. I was very pleased with the service provided by Mr Deshmukh as well as his back room staff who were very professional and courteous. I would thoroughly recommend him.

I received all the information and advice in a very clear email. It was a very positive experience for me.

When arrived at the Hospital, easy parking. The reception was friendly And efficient with a short wait to be taken through to a private room. Clean and comfortable apart from the heating it was a bit chilly, but when commented on a mobile heater was brought in. Staff was efficient in their duties. A longish wait but that is inevitable according to the number of patients. Overall it was excellent and the nurse Paul was very attentive and professional.

I was hoping that I would have at least a physical examination rather than just be told that I would have to have a procedure in three or four months time. I felt that as I had already had an MRI scan several months earlier & a telephone consultation there was no necessity to have a face to face meeting with the consultant just to repeat my symptoms, as it was a further waste of time for me to drive all the way to Ashford for a 5 minute interview.

Moorfields Private Eye Hospital

I appreciate the specialized equipment and expertise (and hence cost) required to perform a visual field test, but I continue to be irritated by the charge (currently £51) for a visual acuity check. Although at Moorfields this is now performed via a computer screen, in essence it is the same as sitting in front of a simple eye chart ... something which is so basic that in an optometrist's setting it attracts no charge at all.

Dr Khalid Khan

Dr Khan listens carefully to what you say. He is considerate and patient and gives very clear explanations what options/next steps are available. He is happy to discuss matters with you, and importantly you are not 'pushed' down any route/option that you may be unhappy with. Dr Khan has a wonderful sense of humour which helped to relax me.
