Mr Irfan Syed is a Consultant ENT surgeon at University Hospital Lewisham & Honorary Senior Lecturer at King's College London. He sees patients privately within several clinics including BMI the Blackheath Hospital, London Bridge Hospital, Lyca Health and King Edward VII's Hospital. He is very experienced in performing procedures for all aspects of ENT issues in adults and children with a special interest in rhinology (nose and sinuses) and facial plastic surgery(rhinoplasty).
Mr Syed trained at University College London and completed his specialist ENT surgical training on the London Training Rotation including paediatric ENT training at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He was awarded several fellowships during his training including one focusing on rhinology & facial plastic surgery at St George's Hospital. He was awarded the British Rhinological Society Award to train at the Sinus & Nasal Institute in St Petersburg, Florida and the European Rhinological Society to train at the Amsterdam Medical Centre. His international training has also taken him to Miami, Paris & Vancouver.
He has won a Top Doctors UK 2022 award as a specialist most recommended by the medical community.
My Syed is a senior lecturer at King's College London with additional educational roles including the Course Director for The London Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Course and Facial Plastic Surgery Course, The London ST3 Course, and The London FRCS (ORL-HNS) Viva Course. He has also been asked to teach on the East Anglian Sinus, Orbit & Skull Base Course and the London Facial Aesthetic Cosmetic Training Course and to present at a number of international meetings.

I recently saw Mr Syed in relation to a Eustachian tube issue. He was excellent to deal with at every stage, from initial consultation to outlining available options and performing surgery. The surgery itself went very well with no complications and has resulted in an initial improvement to my issues. Would highly recommend Mr Syed without any hesitation.

Mr. Syed has been extremely knowledgeable and transparent to me from the first time I saw him and so far the procedure appears to have been quite successful. He is also very friendly and explains things in a way that I found very easy to understand. That makes a big difference. Overall, I am very happy with Mr. Syed.

I can’t recommend Mr Syed highly enough, he was able to resolve my issue straight away but more importantly had the most caring and friendly bedside manner. I’ve already recommended him to friends with ENT issues.

Mr Syed has been brilliant every step of the way. He carefully explains what needs to happen at every stage. He is BRILLIANT with Raif - who is immediately at ease and relaxed in his company (he’s usually really shy). We couldn’t be happier with Raifs treatment and Mr Syed’s thorough, kind and thoughtful approach at every stage. Also very happy with the results.

After having the most horrendous nosebleeds and to have treatment to stop these carried out so quickly was a life changer. Everything was explained and it was pain free.
