Mr Banerjee completed his medical degree followed by his
Diploma in Trauma & Orthopaedics at Calcutta University, India in 1997 and
2003 respectively. He later moved to the UK and was awarded his Membership with
the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007. In 2012, Mr Banerjee
completed his Master's degree in Trauma & Orthopaedics at Warwick
University and in 2015, he was awarded his SICOT Diploma by SICOT
(International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology). He became a
Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics of the Royal College of Surgeons of England
in 2016.He obtained specialist training in orthopaedic surgery in reputed
hospitals in London, Surrey and Sussex. He has undertaken complex spine
fellowship at St Georges Hospital London and was awarded the prestigious
AOSpine Fellowship in Schoen Clinic Munich Germany in 2023.
Mr Banerjee specialises in the management of back and neck
pathologies and has over 20 years’ experience in Orthopaedic surgery in India,
Germany and the UK. He has five years of specialist consultant spine surgeon
experience in managing spinal trauma, spinal deformity and degenerative
conditions of spine. He specialised in keyhole spinal surgery for back pain and
leg pain and did the first disc surgery using this novel technique in
Northamptonshire. This enables patients to have less pain and bleeding during
spinal surgery and leads to early discharge and recovery.
He undertakes spine surgery and spinal injections at Harley
Street Hospital with a view to same day discharge after surgery.
He undertakes non-surgical interventions including spinal
injections and joint injections along with platelet rich plasma treatment at
Blackberry clinic in Croydon.
