Dr Al-Khateeb completed his Master’s degree in Audiological Sciences at University College London in 2007 and completed his Doctorate of Audiology at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, USA/UK in 2014. He is a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser registered with the HCPC and is a Registered Clinical Physiologist with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP). Dr Al-Khateeb is a trusted provider in tinnitus assessment and Tinnitus Retraining Therapy, as well as hearing and ear conservation, providing custom-made solutions such as noise protection devices, swim plugs, music plugs, and sleep plugs for all age groups. Audiology diagnostics to include; pure tone audiometry, speech in quite and noise audiometry, tympanometry, Acoustic reflex thresholds, Eustachian Tube Function Tests, Otoacoustic emissions and tinnitus pitch, loudness and inhibition tests.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Al-Khateeb is the Audiology Clinical Lead at a leading private provider supporting NHS contracts for ENT and Audiology services, a prominent independent audiology service provider in the UK. Here, he plays a pivotal role in authoring and ratifying audiology standard operating procedures and policies, overseeing audiologist training, and driving service improvement and development initiatives. He is also in charge of setting up innovative audiology/vestibular clinical pathways and regular audiology audits.
Dr Al-Khateeb is also a lead trainer and organiser for the Ear Care Academy, a platform dedicated to delivering gold standard aural microsuction and ear care training to registered healthcare professionals at Charing Cross Hospital and West Middlesex Hospital Greater London, UK. He is also a lead IQIPS UKAS registered manager.
Dr Mohammed Al-khateeb is actively involved in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings focused on audiology and vestibular case discussions, where I contribute as a subject matter expert to support complex diagnostic and management decisions. My role includes collaborating with audioogists, ENT specialists, neurologists, geneticist and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centred care.
Dr Al-khateeb is also working closely with a leading medical geneticist, with a particular focus on non-syndromic hearing loss. This work aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy, identify underlying genetic causes, and support effective counselling for patients and their families. Through the integration of audiological and genetic information, I contribute to advancing precision diagnostics and strengthening the field of audio-genetic medicine to enable more targeted management and improved patient outcomes.
