About Mr Florian Bast
Florian is a fully licensed substantive consultant ENT/Otolaryngology surgeon at Guy´s and St. Thomas´ Hospital, London, with a specialist interest in rhinology and facial plastic surgery. Previous to this he was an ENT/Otolaryngology Consultant at the University of Berlin, Germany.
During training, he studied at University of Heidelberg, Germany; NYU, New York, USA; University of Sydney, Australia; and University of Zurich, Switzerland. He completed his higher surgical training at the University of Heidelberg and University of Berlin, Germany. He received the German Board Certification as Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (UK CCT equivalent) in 2011, and the German Board Certification for Sub-specialisation in Facial Aesthetic and Reconstructive Operations in 2015.
In 2014 he spent 18-months doing the highly prestigious craniofacial and facial-plastic fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.
His main focus is on Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery, which includes the medical and surgical treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis, including Balloon Sinuplasty, functional and aesthetic Septo-Rhinoplasties, as well as surgery for patients with snoring problems and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. He also provides comprehensive care in general ENT (Otolaryngology), including the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the nose, sinuses, ears, and upper airway. He has extensive experience in the use of aesthetic injectables such as Dermal Fillers and is one of the most experienced surgeons in the UK in performing Endoscopic Balloon Dilatation of the Eustachian Tube.
He is the founder and Director of ‘The Aesthetic and Functional Use of Cosmetic injectables Course for Doctors' in Berlin, Germany, which is held twice a year.
As part of his academic work, he lectures at national and international conferences and has published extensively in his field of expertise. He is also an editorial reviewer of major scientific papers in the field of Otolaryngology and Facial plastic surgery.

Truly fantastic experience. I first saw Mr Bast with breathing issues following a rhinoplasty 10 years ago and the revision was going to be complex. I attended following recent surgery. I was seen within half an hour of my appointment time Mr Blast informed on how well the surgery had gone and enquired on my recovery and my perception of the outcome. Which was all very positive I was given advise on how the recovery was still progressing and the future expectations with stitches making their way out and swelling reducing. MR Blast even arranged for a long term appointment to ensure complete recovery before my discharge
