About Mr Mario Petrou
Mr Mario Petrou received his MBBS from University College London in 1990 and his PhD in 1996. From 1997 to 2002, he worked as a cardiothoracic trainee at the Royal Brompton Hospital before becoming a consultant cardiac surgeon in 2002.
In 2011, he moved to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he was Head of Programme for Complex Aortic Surgery and Clinical Lead for Cardiac Surgery before returning to the Royal Brompton Hospital in 2019.

Mr Petrou, was very considered in his approach and with what he parted in terms of knowledge and detail about my procedure, he made me feel at ease bot pre/post operatively, would Highly recommend.
Mr Petrou is a highly skilled surgeon and made time to go through the specifics of my chosen form of surgery - off-pump coronary artery bypass graft. This he then did (more tricky for him than the on-pump technique) and since I have enjoyed a speedy recovery. So glad Mr Petrou was able to perform my surgery.
