The service provided was excellent in all respects. However in one instance perhaps the young medical photographer could have given a more ‘friendly’ service in view of the patient being elderly. That said she did her professional job correctly. The only criticism we have is that of necessity we had to come by car otherwise it would have taken us ALL day to attend an hour and a half treatment. The parking (which we are aware has nothing to do with the treatment) cost £21. We are fortunate and could afford it, however there are many who couldn’t.
I've attended this opthalmic unit some years ago. It runs like clockwork. Total professionalism. If I have to come up with one negative comment it's the waiting area needs a bit of life one way or t'other.
Ms Das is a calm, caring professional who put me entirely at ease. I have utmost faith in her professional knowledge and skills.
I first met Dr Das at Edin Eye Pavillion on 17 March. She was extremely patient, explained my medical condition & proposed a medical plan on the treatment and the way ahead. She acted promptly & efficiently to get my anti-VEGF treatment started immediately. I may say that the following morning, my Left eye vision was as if someone had wiped the window clean as previously I was looking through a window of frosted glass. Fabulous ! Following a further anti-VEGF treatment, I had the pleasure of an appointment with Dr Das on 19 May, for Laser retinal photocoagulation. Again the treatment was courteous, efficient, professional & excellent.
While all the Doctors who have treated me at the eye pavilion over the years have been good, Dr Das has always been especially kind and caring and helpful with me.
Very approachable and kind. Only downside was the wait, which was obviously outwith Dr Das' control.
I found Dr Meg Das very nice indeed. She explained why I was there regarding a referral from my optician and explained very clearly what her outcome was. So polite and well mannered. Made me feel at ease 100%.
Dr Das is an excellent colleague and experienced medical retina specialist. She provides caring, expert treatment for a range of retinal/macular problems.
