About Mr Quen Tang
Mr. Quen Tang is a highly esteemed, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in conditions of the shoulder and elbow.
Mr. Tang completed his surgical training on the prestigious Northwest Thames (Imperial) rotation, which provided him with extensive experience across a variety of hospitals, including one of London's busiest Major Trauma Centres. To further hone his expertise, Mr. Tang undertook additional sub-specialty fellowship training at the renowned Cambridge University Hospitals Trust. There, he gained advanced skills in managing complex tertiary elbow trauma and performing cutting-edge arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques. In 2021, he was appointed as a Consultant Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon at Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Education and mentorship have always been central to Mr. Tang's career. He is passionate about training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons, with educational materials he has developed being widely used internationally by those preparing for consultant exams. This is my first appointment following my surgery 2 weeks ago. The nurse who removed the suture was skillful and gentle. Mr Tang was very patience with me and explained again what has been done to my shoulder surgery. He also assured me what my rehabilitation process involves. I am a retired nurse. Dr. TANG was professional n a good Orthopedic Consultant who operated on my fractured elbow, torn ligaments. He did a great job. With his advice pre-surgery n post surgery. I had made a good recovery after 8 weeks. His explanations was clear n precise that I was able to do my exercises (physio) as early as possible to prevent stiffness to my arm. I will recommend to friends n family as he is dedicated n expert in his field.
Mr Tang seemed genuinely interested in my issue. He took the time to listen to my problem and was very clear about my options going forward. He is clearly an expert in his field and I’m grateful for his help.

He has always been patient listening to any issues I have regarding my repeated shoulder dislocations, and very comprehensive in explaining what is wrong with my shoulder, alongside the surgery he recommended and the recovery period Overall, his compassion and care when consulting with me has been massively beneficial, as I have been plagued with this injury for the previous 5 years.
