Mr Quen Tang

Mr Tang was very clearly explaining my situation, he was nice and professional. I will be always grateful for his job , he brought my shoulder back to movement and released me from over 5 years of excruciating pain.

Hi I would just like to say a big thank you to Mr Quen Tang from orthopaedics 3 at West Middlesex Hospital, Mr Tang and his team really came through right when I needed it, I’ve only met Mr Tang once and that was on the day of my shoulder surgery, I was nervous and very anxious due to previous issues getting the surgery done and I felt immediately at ease, Mr Tang has one of them qualities were you feel assured from the moment you meet him, Mr Tang explains everything in a way you can understand and gives you time to ask any questions you might have, No question is too small or silly and Mr Tang answers the question in a way you can understand it, When you meet Mr Tang you get the feeling straight away that he knows exactly what he is doing and this is no bluff, Mr Tang knows exactly what he is doing, Just for a bit of context I had major shoulder problems and there was much confusion around how to go about fixing it, the consultant/surgeon I had prior to Mr Tang didn’t really know what to do and this caused huge anxiety for myself because if the surgeon doesn’t know what to do then who will, Mr Tang stepped forward and to be honest changed my life, Before the discussions were for a soft tissue repair or a laterjet procedure which were the only options I thought were available and then a miracle happened, A surgeon by the name of Mr Quen Tang said he was prepared and willing to perform a newer surgery called a distal clavicle bone block procedure which as I am aware not many surgeons are able to perform this surgery so it takes a surgeon with excellent skill to perform such...

After a fall left me with a serious left elbow injury, I felt as though my world had suddenly come crashing down. I was in pain, frightened and uncertain about my recovery. I feel incredibly fortunate that Mr Tang became my surgeon. His care before, during and after my major elbow surgery has been exceptional. What I appreciate so much is the combination of his surgical skill and precision with his kindness and personal attention. He sees the person behind the injury, and that has made an enormous difference to me. At my five-week review, Mr Tang told me that my progress was better than he had expected. I can now touch my left shoulder with my left hand ~ something that might sound small, but feels like an enormous achievement after everything I have been through. He was also very honest. Despite this encouraging progress, the surgery was extensive, and pain and swelling could persist for a year or more. He looked me in the eyes and gently emphasised the need for patience. I left feeling encouraged and cared for, with a clearer understanding of the long recovery still ahead. My recovery is not complete, but Mr Tang has helped me regain confidence and hope. I cannot thank him enough for his expertise, compassion and the care he continues to give me. I wish every patient could feel as well looked after as I have.

This is my first appointment following my surgery 2 weeks ago. The nurse who removed the suture was skillful and gentle. Mr Tang was very patience with me and explained again what has been done to my shoulder surgery. He also assured me what my rehabilitation process involves. I am truly grateful to receive the best care delivered by Mr Tang and his team.
