Walking into Spire hospital at Manchester, I was greeted by really good reception staff who listened to what I said and then made it happen. It felt very well organised. Into the wards/clinics for treatment, I was again greeted by friendly, confident staff who quickly put me at ease and explained what was to be carried out. All of my tests/treatments were carried out very professionally, on time and with care and respect. I felt comletly at ease throughtout. 5 Stars in every respexct for the clinical staff and Spire Manchester. Bad Experiencies. Dealing with the Spire Online/ Phone back office and Booking System. It was diabolical in all aspects. It appeared to be very dis-jointed and not able to pass information on internally nor take notice of what I told them. I received meaningless paperwork that bore little resemblance to what was to be done and its timeline. The night before treatment, around 8 p.m., I even received an email that told me all my procedures/ tests were to be carried out in Liverpool, not Manchester. Very poor level communications from Spire admin. very bad experience for me.

From the initial face to face consultation through the conversation immediately prior to the operation then a reassuring word in recovery and finally a telephone consultation with the (positive) results of the pathology and oncology at 6 weeks post surgery I cannot fault Mr Abou-Chedid's care. His skill cannot be questioned and the excellent post-operative recovery is testament to this. I am sure that his technique of radial prostatectomy coupled with supra-pubic catheter greatly contributed to my recovery. It goes without saying that, given a choice, I would not have opted to have prostate cancer in the first place but for anyone in the unfortunate position of having a diagnosis of cancer I would not hesitate in recommending Mr Abou-Chedid.

My surgery took place there and had to stay overnight due to vertigo and dizziness. The hospital was friendly, new and pristine. The nursing staff outstanding as well as of course the medical team. I had dinner and breakfast and it was also healthy and delicious. Yesterday I returned to have the dressing removed and it was equally good. If any criticism would be to the pharmacy with a 30minute wait to get my prescription and also despite being a Bupa hospital not having the availity to charge Bupa for medication- I am under Bupa Global and in other Bupa hospitals this is the case.

I was put totally at ease by Dr Bashkis calm & very kind manner ..he explained & diagnoses what I had been suffering with & offered me a good treatment plan ….he took the time & trouble of explaining everything so well & answered any questions I had with such clarity & confidence which immediately put me at ease ..he offered me comprehensive blood tests which I received within a week & he kindly followed up with a telephone appointment to explain all the resits & plan of action ..I’m very grateful to Dr Bashki for all his kind & caring help ..thank you so much

He’s one of the nicest and kindest doctors I’ve ever met and explains everything to way I could understand.My months of suffering hrs now sorted thank you so much.

Dr Guerrero has all the qualities (and more) that one could hope for in a doctor. She’s kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and exceptionally professional. She goes out of her way to explain things clearly and to reassure you. She is also very approachable and immediately puts you at ease. I trust her 100% and feel immensely grateful that she was able to perform what was quite major surgery on me. I genuinely don’t think I would have gone through with it, if it hadn’t been her.

I had the Aquablation surgery under Mr Brewin at New Hall. I spent a long time researching surgeons who perform this procedure and I am very pleased I chose Mr Brewin. I live a very long way from Salisbury but it was worth the journey. I am extremely pleased with the outcome. My only regret is that I wish I'd had the treatment earlier. Mr Brewin is down to earth charming and Knowledgeable and I would highly recommend.

Everything was very good, except for the fact that I was asked to come in at 10.00 for an operation that started at 13.45. In the first 3 hours I was with you spent 2 hours in your waiting area before being taken downstairs. In the next hour, all that happened was that I had my blood pressure taken and changed into a hospital gown. The operation and post operative care was excellent
