After seriously injuring both ankles and a long recovery, it was a complete game changer when I started treatment with my physio Steph. She was friendly and professional and quickly put me at my ease. Steph was both flexible and methodical in her approach, measuring my progress, returning to exercises regularly, which I found helpful in maintaining my focus and my momentum. Steph was responsive and adjusted exercises where necessary but generally this was not needed as she pitched the pace and level of activity to be suitably challenging. Steph was goal orientated, encouraging and solution focused. It felt like I had a clear pathway to recovery and that Steph was really committed to my well-being and focused on helping me get the best outcomes. The centre have a range of treatments available including massage, podiatry and Pilates classes so that I could benefit from a holistic approach to my injuries. Steph has explained things well to me as we have gone along so that I have understood the rationale which I have really appreciated. Her expertise and care have been a huge positive during a difficult time. Thank you to Steph and all the team, I would highly recommend The Medical.

Considering i am a private patient very Dissapointed. 1. I was contacted after making the initial appointment asking where i had my MRI scans. I gave the lady all details only to be contacted again the next day stating they could'nt locate them. I then gave them more comprehensive details and was assured if any issues i would be contacted. I attended the practice for the consultation on 27/11/25 only to be told by Mr. Bacon we could not proceed as he did not have my scans. I proceeded to to ask for the pre med tests during which an anneasatist was very rude to me because unfortunatly i have a needle phobea. 2. Prior to the operation i rang to ask that during the operation day is there somewhere for my partner[ ie. in the ward room etc] and informed yes. She was informed on arrival at 6.30am with me that she was not allowed on the ward until 6pm . We had travelled 80miles to the hospital that day. If we had been informed prior too alternatve arrangements could have been made for her.

I attended Spencer Ashford Hospital which was easy to find and was able to park nearby in the carpark using a Blue Badge displayed. Access was at ground level with no steps. Reception staff greeted me straight away and booked me in, provided necessary to complete my procedure. Toilets were easily accessed just off Reception and there is a water machine free. All staff including the medical team that I saw were engaging, jovial yet professional. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing with about three patients waiting. Mr Georgios Papadopoulos explained the procedure that I was undergoing in depth and was unrushed and very calm and inquired whether I had questions. His team were as fantastic ensuring that I was at ease throughout. At no point did I feel under pressure to leave after the procedure.

Jess was incredibly friendly and welcoming from our very first visit, and it was a complete no-brainer to work with her for my pregnancy and delivery. It was so reassuring to have her number throughout the pregnancy - with this being our first baby I had a lot of anxieties, and Jess was so patient in responding and reassuring me with every worry and query I had. I felt very safe and comfortable with Jess during the birth and trusted her opinions and advice completely. Although my birth didn't quite go to plan (when do they ever!) I came away with such a positive experience of birth and most importantly, a gorgeous healthy baby girl. We hope to come back to Jess for our future babies and absolutely recommend her to everyone! Thank you Jess :)

Ms Lubna Haque

So I decided to see Ms Haque due to some gynae concerns. Within 10 days I had an ultrasound, Hysteroscopy, MRI and follow up appointment. Ms Haque was amazing throughout, very knowledgeable and very thorough in her investigations. She performed the hysterectomy herself with local anesthetic and took biopsies. The whole procedure was very efficient. In the follow up appointment she was very reassuring and explained the details of the reports with care and kindness. Thank you Ms Haque ,I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone with gynaecological concerns.

Mr Michael Wearne

My right eye cataract was operated on by Mr. Wearne a couple of years ago and I was very happy to go back to him when I needed my left eye operated on. This time I had a Rayner Galaxy Toric Multifocal lens put in my left eye. I am very pleased with the results - my vision is now excellent. Occasionally, I need to wear reading glasses ( not a prescription just a pair bought from any shop) if I am doing some close work or reading small print in poor light.

Not a good experience as I imagined paying privately would give. Unable to get prescription due to Dr putting my name as prescriber ? Telephone answering machine usually and although tried to sort I was left without medication . Reacted to dressings again so not feeling good at moment 😩 Please remember conversation during the procedure makes it a lot more invasive. Hoping this time I will free from pain !

The admin side of things was a bit bad. Had the wrong shoulder down for surgery and even though said it would be changed still had the wrong shoulder listed on day of surgery. Unfortunately I am in the process of compiling an official complaint regarding the nurse I had on the day of my surgery, worst nurse I have ever had in my 52 years on Thai earth. Truly awful and needs to be removed from the ward.
