I came to Sam because I was desperate to regain control of my life. When I explained all the issues I was having in relation to my menstrual cycle and perimenopausal symptoms. Sam was kind, caring and very understanding of what I was going through. I felt like he listened to everything I had to say and didn't judge me. Sam provided a lot of information, which I found really helpful and aligned with some things that I had already tried/was trying in terms of managing my period. We eventually both agreed that hysterectomy was the way forward. Sam has changed my life! I would definitely recommend Sam to anyone!

Me & my partner have seen Sam Dobson twice. First, for a consultation after 2 miscarriages and more recently for an early pregnancy scan! We felt very comfortable on both occasions.

I wanted to sincerely thank you for the care you provided during my laparoscopy to remove my endometriosis. From the beginning, you were calm, informative, and reassuring, which made a very stressful situation feel much more manageable. I truly felt that I was in good hands throughout the entire process. Your clear explanations and steady presence gave me a lot of confidence going into surgery. I’m very grateful for your expertise and the way you care for your patients.

I book a consul to see Mr Dobson as I was experiencing lots of pain with my monthly cycle in addition to an extremely sharp pain around my left ovary. The best option was to have laparoscopic surgery to find out what was going on. I had my surgery and immediately felt better in myself. I feel like a new person who can live their life again compared to before the surgery. Mr Dobson removed all the adhesions that had been causing me pain and issues. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring and I felt at ease in his care. Everything was explained again at my 6 week post-surgery consultation and all my questions were answered in depth. I am extremely grateful for the help and work Mr Dobson has done to help me be able to live a better quality of life again. Should I need to seek any further help or advice in the future, I will definitely be returning to see Mr Dobson. Thank you!

I sought care from Dr Sam Dobson and from the very beginning, everything was easy, kind, and understandable. The process was clearly explained, next steps were always outlined, and I never felt unsure about what was happening. The whole experience felt supportive and well organised. During my consultations, my concerns were taken seriously, and the explanations about my condition and treatment options were clear and helpful. I appreciated how everything was explained in a way that made sense and allowed me to feel confident in the plan moving forward. Communication was brilliant throughout. Not only was there clear and efficient communication through Mandy, but I also received phone calls directly from Dr Dobson himself. That personal touch made a big difference and showed genuine care and commitment. Appointments, tests, and scheduling were handled smoothly, with good timing and no issues arranging what was needed. I would absolutely recommend Dr Sam Dobson to other women!

We have been under Dr Sam Dobson’s care for fertility treatment & most recently a robotic assisted laparoscopy for stage 4 endometriosis. At my first consultation he put me at ease straight away. I feel truly listened to in each appointment; every question is answered precisely & no question is ever a silly question. Dr Dobson is incredibly professional & I felt respected, comfortable & relaxed through scans, he even showed me the ultrasound screen to explain clearly what he was talking about. His bedside manner during my surgery was impeccable & I felt safe throughout knowing I was under his care & expertise. The surgery was a success & my recovery has been outstanding. He is timely & thorough with follow-up appointments & we never walk away confused or unsure about the next steps. His secretary, Mandy, works so promptly with him, with each query or worry being responded to so quickly. They are a dream team. I/we feel incredibly lucky to have found Dr Dobson to help us through trying for a family; it has lightened the load for us a little during a difficult time. I would recommend him to all in a heartbeat.

The HyCoSy test explained by Mr Sam Dobson

Mr Sam Dobson is a fertility sub specialist and tubal surgeon in the UK. The HyCoSy examination is a test to check and flush the fallopian tubes and can be done in the outpatient clinic department setting, not requiring surgery, an anaesthetic or any radiation. It is a helpful test for those who have not been able to conceive or for those who have undergone a female sterilisation reversal operation, to flush and ensure the tubes have healed open.
