Mr Tarun Singhal

Mr Tarun Singhal is a consultant colorectal surgeon with over 25 years of surgical experience, specialising in robotic and advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery, alongside laser treatments for pilonidal sinus disease and anal fistulas, and THD Anolift treatment for Haemorrhoids.

He offers robotic surgery at London Bridge Hospital for complex colorectal conditions, including colon and rectal cancers and benign bowel disease like complex diverticulitis and inflammatory bowel disease like Crohn's. His training in advanced minimally invasive techniques supports a tailored approach to each patient’s surgical care.

Mr Singhal has a particular interest in laser pilonidal sinus surgery and laser anal fistula treatment, and THD Anolift treatment for Haemorrhoids, offering these minimally invasive options to suitable patients following a detailed assessment and discussion of their treatment choices.

His wider practice includes surgery for inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, haemorrhoids and appendicitis, as well as the management of ileostomy and colostomy complications and stoma reversal surgery. He also has expertise in complex colorectal cancer surgery, including low rectal cancer and multi-visceral resections.

Mr Singhal qualified in medicine in 1995 and subsequently earned a Master of Surgery. He completed fellowship training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery, peritoneal malignancy, low rectal cancer surgery and multi-visceral resection, followed by further fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery.

In 2018, he received a King’s Commendation in recognition of his exceptional service to King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and its patients.
