I have been under the care of Professor Faiz for approximately 18 months, during which I underwent major and complex surgery performed by Professor Faiz himself. This followed almost two decades of severe inflammation in the bowels, which had resulted in a very aggressive disease with numerous complications. When I first met Professor Faiz, it quickly became clear that he had an exceptional understanding of the progressive nature of my condition, as well as its many intricacies and complications—far beyond any other consultant or surgeon I had previously spoken to. Professor Faiz was extremely thorough in conducting tests and assessments to gain a complete picture of my situation. He then developed a clear surgical plan, carefully considering the best approach while prioritising the elimination of all possible risks. Professor Faiz also collaborates with highly skilled and experienced colleagues, whom he involved at the appropriate stages of my care without hesitation. His secretary has likewise been outstanding and extremely helpful. On several occasions after surgery, I was able to contact her and receive a prompt response from Professor Faiz, which greatly helped to alleviate my concerns. In addition to being exceptionally talented in his field, Professor Faiz is also deeply caring. He understands the human aspect of living with complex conditions and the profound impact they can have on people’s lives. In summary, Professor Faiz is a highly experienced and skilled surgeon who prioritises minimising risk and achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients. He is supported by an excellent team. I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to have met Professor Faiz during what was a very challenging and worrying time, and I could not have asked for better care.

I initially contacted him for the second opinion to verify my diagnosis and treatment plan from a very honourable and well established rheumatology professor, but I ended up switching under his care completely, because of the competence, grounded/practical approach and attention to details + genuine willingness to help. I wish I would meet Dr. Singh sooner and start following his treatment earlier - it would have saved me a lot of side effects and wasted time.

I had a video consultation with Dr Kallis. In the previous months I had a abdominal ultrasound scan and a CT abdomen and pelvis dual phase scan which appeared to show conflicting results. Dr Kallis explained the purpose and limitations of such scans as the reason for such conflicts, which I found understandable and reassuring. He also outlined the appropriate tests to take to clarify any remaining issues. Dr Kallis was patient and clear in responding to any questions I had. The organisation of the video consultation was very efficiently handled by his Medical Secretary. I would certainly recommend Dr Kallis

I felt so at ease with Mr Norton. He listened to the concerns I had around my problem. Mr Norton thoroughly examined the Cyst and explained the procedure he felt would benefit me most. Very professional. On the day of the surgery I was treated exceptionally well by Mr Norton and his team. During the surgery Mr Norton operated in such a way that the scarring was kept to a minimum. The 2 and half hour waiting time for a 5-minute test was severely dissatisfying. The endoscope tube was much too thick, thicker than it is necessary perhaps. Nowadays the medical technology is much advanced and I truly believe a thinner tube can do the job sufficiently as well as improving patient comfort.
