I initially spoke with Dr. Jolly regarding my lazy eye, as I was experiencing double vision, poor depth perception, and a lack of confidence as a result. From the very first consultation, Dr. Jolly was incredibly personable and understanding. He was extremely diligent in making sure I fully understood everything the surgery would entail, and his communication throughout the entire process was brilliant. I truly felt supported and reassured every step of the way. Dr. Jolly’s confidence in his work was very reassuring and made me feel completely safe in his hands. Since having the squint surgery, my life has honestly changed. My confidence is now through the roof, and for the first time I can comfortably hold eye contact with people when speaking to them. I cannot thank Dr. Jolly enough for what he has done for me. I am beyond grateful and would highly recommend him to anyone considering this surgery.

I couldn't reccomend Miss Cheryl Lobo highly enough. She held my hand from start to finish. It is pretty daunting getting a positive breast cancer diagnosis but Cheryl not only explained and reassured me at every stage but also advised me on how to broach everything with the family. Obviously the first concern is removing the cancer but as a women, you then start thinking about aesthetics and how you will feel after the surgery. Cheryl's surgery was incredible - she removed the tumour and then moved the tissue around so that my breast looks exactly as it did. She stitched me around the ripples and I do not have any scar on my breast whatsoever in fact the only small scar is under my armpit where some lymph nodes were removed. If you're reading this then I'm sorry you have to go through the ordeal of breast cancer. But if you do, Cheryl Lobo is incredible.

I went to OSD Hemel Hempstead to get my cast removed following my rhinoplasty. When we got there, we were taken straight to the room & were left there for about 20mins for the nurse to find the equipment, upon her return the appointment was rushed and no information was provided for my aftercare. I was asking many questions however, she seemed reluctant to answer any (as simple as, how long do I need to tape for - she couldn’t answer). Following a conversation with my surgeons direct nurse, I found out that the nurse at OSD had not taped my nose correctly, nor removed the glue from my face. I felt rushed out of the appointment & not very well looked after. My surgeon came to review my nose post cast removal which was reassuring & he mentioned that the OSD nurse would provide me with all the information I’d need - she did not.

in for umbilical hernia operation. Staff were first class from arrival through to leaving next day lunchtime. So caring and professional they took lots of the stress out of a stressful time. Room was clean and spacious enough. Dressing gown and under gown provided. Special thanks to Mia for looking after myself and wife when we arrived. The anaesthetist was kind and humorous helping me relax even more and I was completely reassured by the calmness and professionalism of everyone. Thanks also to the team preparing me for the op and Ms Darrien for performing the surgery successfully on the day. Special mention to Emma in the recovery area for looking after me and being so kind. Also to Sophie and John on the ward. Food was also first class. Really enjoyed the breakfast! Can’t recommend highly enough

I was then referred to Mr Hassan who advised a full abdominal hysterectomy and pelvic floor lift. Mr Hassan carefully explained to me where I was at physically, what the future held, and what the future could hold with surgery. I was reassured by his thoroughness and professionalism and chose to book a surgery date that would suit me. Mr Hassan’s team kept in contact, provided all information I needed, and I returned from the surgery yesterday. Mr Hassan was a brilliant choice for me:- firm, reassuring, efficient and thorough. He visited me on each day of recovery and ensured I was informed of every step of the process and recovery.

After having ankle replacement surgery on 28/10/2025 which went very well from admission to discharge I returned today 16/12/2025 to have the plaster cast removed and fitted with a moon boot. My overall experience with Nottingham City Hospital and Mr Raglan and his team was more than satisfactory and in no way an unpleasant experience due to the excellent care of everyone involved with myself. I felt that every step was explained to me in a concise manner and I felt confident this was the right path for me. Anyone needing ankle replacement surgery should be reassured that Mr Raglan, his team and all the nursing staff will care for you In a befitting manner and there really is nothing to worry about. Very happy with the set up all round. Consultant amazingly helpful in comparison. He was extremely knowledgeable and very concerned . I liked the fact that he actually listened when I explained my problem. ( Its tedious even for me to hear so I can understand the need to switch off at times)...!...but obviously extremely painful ! The actual appointment with the consultant was about 30 minutes. He examined me and advised medication for immediately and perhaps in the future. Excellent man ,so nice . Great experience in general. The whole thing from the emails you get, the appointment scheduling and of course visiting the doctor, all went really smoothly. I saw Dr Antbring who was really lovely and helped me through my journey including the initial scan, sending me for the MRI and helping me to decide and then actually doing the injection and of course a plan for my rehab exercises. Great experience overall. Now I need to wait a week and then start with the rehab and fingers crossed I make a full recovery. I appreciate everything. Thanks again!

Every one I met at the Princess Grace Hospital was most pleasant and attentive from the reception staff to the nursing staff. All of the nurses I met from the initial welcome on the 5th floor on 19/11/25 to both Halima and Fernanda who looked after me during the night and day were all especially kind to me. there were many others but unfortunately I did not write down their names. I think it would be difficult to think of a better place to be a patient.

He immediately did multi level investigation to separate my shoulder from my wrist issues and literally sorted out the injections into my shoulder on the day I was there. I was so impressed. The recent visit was as a follow up on a glaucoma condition and after cataract had been remobed. Despite being very early for my appointment I was seen almost staight away. After further analysis of my eye functionx it was suggested that I might benefit from laser work to allow additional light through to the inside of the eyes and to open further the drainage channel in the left eye.
