His clinical expertise, commitment, and compassion enabled me to achieve something that had once felt impossible, and I will be forever grateful for his care. I had been training for seven months to take on a double marathon in memory of my brother, who tragically took his own life just over a year ago. The run meant everything to me — not just as a personal challenge, but as a way to honour him and raise money for The Hunchman Trust, a charity that supports young people navigating grief, especially after suicide. By the time race day was in sight, I had already raised £28,000, and the weight of expectation — from myself and from those supporting me — felt enormous. Seventeen days before the event, disaster struck. I was injured, and despite visits to a physio, I was in terrible shape. With less than two weeks to go, I was convinced my dream was over. It was then that my physio referred me to Dr. James Noake, who, upon hearing my story, went to great lengths to fit me into his schedule. My case was complicated. I had an inflamed Kager’s fat pad and a trapped sural nerve, problems made even harder to diagnose because of a previous ankle reconstruction back in 2019. Where others had struggled, Dr. Noake immediately identified the issue. The very next morning, he came in early to give me the treatment and injections I desperately needed. What happened next felt nothing short of remarkable. Days earlier I had been ready to give up, certain I’d have to withdraw from the race. Instead, with Dr. Noake’s expertise and guidance, I was not only able to start but to finish the double marathon. Throughout the event, he made himself available, checking in, offering advice, and guiding me on what I could and couldn’t do to protect myself. Thanks to him, I was able to cross that finish line and, more importantly, honour my brother’s memory in the way I had hoped.

A Life-Changing Experience – Thank You My wife is 62 years old and has battled alcoholism for 27 years. She had been to rehab three times before, but this time was different. From being in the theatre to all the staff who worked along side Miss Darrien in the Theatre I couldn’t fault anything they where all so kind and treated me like an actual person with constant reassurance talked me though everything and every step before I fell asleep . After surgery Miss Darrien and the staff have been nothing but super attentive , companionate and professional . Mr Bhandari had a kind reassuring bedside manner noticing I was nervous before my procedure but easily calmed my nervousness by his genuine reassurance. Explained everything to me in my language rather than medical language before my procedure too. Even during my procedure spoke to me explaining what he could see showing me exactly the area he was talking about on screen. Very gentle in my most sore painful areas and advising me to take pain relief via gas n air in time. I shall not hesitate sharing any further concerns if needed and woukd not like to be booked in with any other surgeon. I also would like yo thank all the staff on duty that day too. Mr Elalfy is a highly personable, professional and skilled surgeon. At every visit he made sure that I was well, comfortable, happy and encouraged me to talk about any concerns I may have. He always made sure that I understood what we had discussed and made clear I could contact him through his executive assistant with questions or concerns. On the day of surgery everything from my choice of post-op beverage to calming nerves was taken care of. I had elected to have bilateral cataract removal and Mr Elalfy made me feel fully confident at every stage of the operation. The operation was swift and excitingly successful.
