I could not recommend TEDS highly enough to anyone who is looking to recover from an Eating disorder and/or trauma. TEDS have given me back the life I had lost to my eating disorder and filled me with hope for a future I once believed would never be possible for me. They truly hold their clients at the heart of everything they do and always go above and beyond to support me. Both Clare and Rach often remind me of my bravery when facing the difficulties that come with recovery, but this is equally a testament to them through the care, compassion, dedication, and skill they bring, and their ability to form strong, genuine connections and healthy therapeutic attachments which make me feel safe enough to be brave, to implement change and to be vulnerable in sessions. They each bring something different to my recovery and care, making it diverse, unique, and completely individualised. Their combined approach helps me heal from the past, cope in the present, and plan for my future. I feel incredibly privileged to be a TEDS client and to receive such exceptional ongoing care.

Dr Seth was welcoming as he came to collect me from the waiting room. I felt Dr Seth had a good understanding of my situation prior to me entering and he listened interested in how I had come to be in my situation. Dr Seth on this day had a physio with him in the room and at the start he had checked if I was happy with the lady to remain in the room. Dr Seth explained they sometimes referred people to each other so it was useful for the physio to see procedures. The physio was very pleasant and listened to my situation attentively. Dr Seth explained the procedure to me and checked that I was happy to proceed. I explained that I was and throughout the process Dr Seth explained what he was doing and once he had concluded each part of my treatment. Once the procedure had completed Dr Seth talked to me about next steps for me. Dr Seth is professional, interested, knowledgeable, understanding and has a wonderful caring manner.

From start to finish the staff were incredible. They all knew me by name upon arriving which really helped the comfort and ease. I stayed for the 6 week programme and I’m so grateful I did. Chris, who I believe created ROOT, is incredibly passionate about what he does and this care is echoed through the presentations of all the workers. The mentors used their experience incredibly to guide the guests through some very hard and reality-facing groups but also sit with us through the experiential sessions. They are all human and present themselves as equals. The medical staff and guest liaisons are brilliant. They are friendly, welcoming, and approachable and always there to support and care for others. Delamere was a wonderful experience and has given me tools to carry forward into recovery and prepared me for the work ahead!

Having given birth to 4 children and now just turning 50 years old I’ve recently had some worrying perimenopausal symptoms and was recommended to see Dr Janga. I was looking for a Doctor with experience to reassure me in my choices. Dr Janga listened to my concerns and made me feel very at ease. I had an ultrasound initially. Then I chose to return to see her for a pipelle biopsy and to have the mirena coil put in by her. She has made me feel I am making the best choices for me and she has given me a plan to follow in dealing with these. I needed this experienced reassurance. I plan to return to see her annually from Devon. I will recommend travelling from Devon to see her to my friends.

My partner and I visited the clinic after receiving concerning news on an NHS scan and hoped for some reassurance and clarity. Professor Akolekar took time to listen to our concerns and then completed a thorough scan and consultation, he explained every step of what he was doing and a plan moving forward, we left the clinic with all our questions answered. The communication after the scan was excellent and all follow up actions were completed immediately. Professor Akolekar acted with care and compassion throughout and really put our minds at ease. I was greeted at the door by a very friendly and welcoming nurse who showed me straight to my room which was bright, comfortable and spotless. I had the procedure I was in for with an hour of arriving followed by a light lunch before being able to go home. A very calm and easy experience!
