Very unorganised, got the bill twice with no explanation. Called and had to speak with 3 people and still no one knew what bill was correct. The Surgent secretary told me to ignore one of the invoices which turned out was wrong. First time I arrived for the consultation I was told that the surgent who I was going to see wasn’t there and they advised me to go home. It turned out he was there and waiting for me. Second time they couldn’t find my file and didn’t know what to do or why I was there. 3rd time lucky you would think, I was told to wait in the waiting room and I did without being told there were two waiting rooms and I was in the wrong room and the surgent called me and wondered if I was on my way. On the positive the surgent and the operation was great but I do wish it was a bit more organised and that the information given to the patients was with a follow up to everyone involved.

The initial assessment was incredibly thorough, involving posture analysis, gait assessment, and a long conversation about my lifestyle, stress levels, and overall wellness goals. I see Dr. Lil, who is absolutely amazing. She spent 30 minutes just listening to my history and my frustrations before ever laying a hand on me. I was so impressed with my results and Dr. Lil's gentle, knowledgeable approach that I even brought my 12-year-old son in for some sessions. She was fantastic with him—explaining everything in a way he could understand and making him feel comfortable and involved in his own health. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing we are both building a foundation for better posture and long-term wellness.

I received warm, well informed professional attention throughout my care at St Anthony's Hospital; from outpatients through to discharge. The room was clean, well heated and ventilated, equipment checked and the armchairs comfortable. The unit was quiet. Nursing staff answered call bells promptly and with kindness and a smile. No request was considered a problem. Their level of knowledge and professionalism was excellent along with the standard of care. Physiotherapy care was also excellent and given with respect to my individual needs. Recovery staff were informative and reassuring. Excellent care there too. I include catering staff who also took care in their work. A few glitches with the electronics on the bed and the new bathroom which received prompt attention - the unit has been recently renovated.

Truly Exceptional After experiencing pain from my new hospital contact lenses I was able to book an appointment with Drew far sooner than my Hospital would see me. Drew very quickly determined that ill-fitting lenses were causing Conjunctival Prolapse and advised how best to proceed. Essentially the lenses used by my Hospital were not appropriate for my eyes and, since the Hospital will not use alternative lenses, Drew was able to fit and supply better lenses. These new contact lenses give excellent vision and comfort, even though I have a particular eye condition which makes it very difficult to fit contacts, despite lenses being the only solution for me. Thank you Drew and Team!

Mr Al Lami is friendly, professional and explains conditions very well. I was surprised to hear that there were simple procedures, such as a Barium swallow, which could not be done (with payment) at WHH. That was a benefit I had expected of attending a relatively small private hospital that is next door to a main Kent NHS one. However the process of referral to another hospital was very quick ; and I got an appointment for radiography tomorrow , also very quick , so I am pleased with the service. I do hope there will be a surgical cancellation on his list that will allow me to have any procedures necessary completed before January .

Mr Patel obviously has vast experience in his field. He was very reassuring and patient with listening and answering any concerns I had. I needed to be seen as quickly as possible due to commitments abroad and he did everything he could to help and expedite things for me. My surgery was quick and didn't leave me with any pain. I would highly recommend him and will not hesitate to go back to him for my follow ups. I must also add that his secretary Abbey was fantastic. She was kind, helpful and very organised in everything she did and made me also feel at ease with anything I asked her.

Dr. James Self was absolutely wonderful with my 4-year-old son. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel comfortable and welcomed, which really helped ease my child’s nerves. Dr. Self was incredibly kind, patient, and gentle, and he took the time to explain everything in a way my son could understand. He made the entire eye exam fun and stress-free, which is not always easy with a young child! My son felt relaxed and even excited during the visit. As a parent, I truly appreciated how thorough Dr. Self was and how clearly he explained my son’s eye health to me.

I had a follow up appointment for more YAG Laser treatment. Upon entering Cathedral Eye Clinic you are greeted by very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Thereafter I had very detailed tests carried out by a female Optometrist who is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Finally I had further tests and this was followed by the laser treatment by Mr Best who exudes absolute professional brilliance and is very reassuring explaining everything in detail. A truly excellent experience and I can recommend their fantastic care to anyone.

Dr Ray is warm, patient, knowledgeable and kind. It was our first consultation and she made my son feel so at ease. Dr Ray took the time to listen and clearly explain everything to both my son and I. She has such a calm and considerate approach, and was easily able to communicate to my son in such a kind and comforting way. I couldn't have asked for a better, more engaging, skilled and caring Doctor. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Ray and am very grateful to her for making the consultation such a positive experience for my son.

Professor Alwyn D'Souza

Professor D’Souza is a constant source of reassurance and demonstrates a deep experience in a gentle and thoughtful manner. His approach is very educated, but pragmatic. In the case of my surgery, he gave excellent feedback on what made my revision difficult, while also explaining very clearly intraoperative discoveries that created problems he had to work around. For the first time in 16 years since a severe injury to my nose, I now see the light at the end of the tunnel to this journey and I owe this to Professor D’Souza.

The London Clinic offers such a comfortable and clean environment, clinical in all the right ways, but still homely and warm. It feels far less “hospital-like” than most medical settings, which really helped me relax. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and genuinely approachable from the moment I walked in. And the unlimited coffee on tap was a lovely touch! Overall, a calm, high quality clinic experience that made a big difference to my visit.

Prof Kocher was very helpful and professional when I was under his care, including post-care. He was prepared to operate immediately but explained the risks clearly, allowing me to make the right decision to wait 6 weeks so that it was possible to have surgery when infection was less severe allowing me to recover quickly. The information he provided in his fact sheets was extremely helpful post-recovery.

Best to make sure someone attends with you to ask the questions you might be to groggy to ask at the time. Would be nice if staff shared communication as I have frozen shoulder and I only had chance to tell the lovely Laura staff nurse who reasured me. Dr Ahmed introduced himself and Ruby too...I had to ask what they found and was given printed details at the end. Overall positive. Thank you!

Mr Matar performed an excellent Total Kee Replacement on me, following several years of discomfort including a bucket handle meniscus tear and bone on bone arthritis wear and tear. At 7 weeks post-op, I'm now moving about freely, going up and down stairs well and feeling great. I believe he is an excellent surgeon.
