I recently had an L4/L5 XLIF spinal fusion performed by Mr. Kazzaz, and I’m very happy with the outcome. Before the surgery, I was struggling with ongoing leg pain that affected my day-to-day life. From my first consultation, Mr. Kazzaz was professional, kind, and reassuring. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel confident and well cared for throughout the process. The surgery went smoothly, and my recovery has been excellent. My pain and nerve symptoms have improved significantly, and I feel much more comfortable and can’t believe how much more I feel like my old self. I’m very grateful for Mr. Kazzaz’s skill, expertise, and genuine care. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering spinal surgery. I cannot leave a review for the wonderful Mr Kazzaz without mentioning his Secretary Vanda! The combined team made me feel heard and supported and Vanda made sure my concerns and questions were answered quickly and I was always reassured that there is no such thing as a silly question.

I had a Rhinoplasty here with Lucian Ion. I'm grateful to all of the staff at the hospital for making my stay so comfortable; the room was clean and comfortable, and whenever I needed help the nurses were quick and helpful, plus the food was really good. The surgery and anaesthetic itself went smoothly, and it was re-assuring to talk to both surgeon (Mr Ion) and anaesthetist (Dr Warwick Marchant) beforehand, and then see Mr Ion multiple times after the surgery. When I was soon to be discharged from the hospital I momentarily (for a few minutes) felt very rough; the hospital staff were really friendly and there wasn't any rush to discharge. One thing I did note is that there wasn't always complete consistency between the surgeon and the hospital, e.g. on the admission time, or on how to clean the wounds, so I would suggest trying to improve this (the patient, at least speaking for myself, isn't always a reliable intermediary), however this was a very minor issue.

Dr Kirsten Mackay

Dr. Mackay is one of those rare doctors who with knowledge, experience, interst and genuine warmth. It is always lovely to meet with her, She takes care of her patients very well and peronally. Every consultation feels warm and personal. I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis at the age of 26. She cautght it very very early and picking it up so early on, I must say - she is exceptionally talented. I am 30 now, and this disease is out of my life forever (Fingers crossed ). Had she not been there to help me diagnose it at an early stage, I dont know what wouldve happened. I am glad I got the opprtunity to connect with her. So humble and so patient. She takes her time, never rushes, and genuinely makes you feel cared for and understood. She truly takes the time to listen and explain everything clearly. Her medical knowledge is phenomenal, a perfect blend of heart and expertise. Honestly, if there were 7 stars to give, she deserves every single one!

I have seen Gary Wright many times over the past few years. He has always made me feel listened to. He’s very approachable, putting you at your ease (despite all the scary thoughts that run through your head when your heart rhythm goes wonky). I always feel fully informed. It was the first time I truly felt I was giving a fully informed consent for treatment. I’ve always felt he treated me as an individual, not just another patient. The care I received was safe, professional and it was so apparent that Gary worked with a brilliant team of professionals who all took pride in doing the best job possible. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Gary (and his team).

I cannot rate my experience highly enough. Mr. Thakur and Dr. Richard the anesthetist were extremely professional and supportive and took time to clearly explain the procedure and process and answer all of my questions. The nursing staff, Steph, Brian, Natalie and Til were fantastic looking after me post op and were very friendly and supportive. The pharmacy team took great care in explaining my medication and advising on the pain relief regime to follow. Gary from the Physio team was great at explaining the rehab exercises and putting me through my paces to make sure I started my recovery in the best way. A great team, please pass on my thanks.

After my first appointment I left feeling reassured, it was explained in detail what the procedure was, what to expect and the aftercare. On the day of the operation Mr Gurjar took time to come and see me to check I was ok and explaining what was going to happen before, during and after the operation. Following on from the operation I had my follow on appointment after 6 weeks again Mr Gurjar made me feel very welcome, asking how I had been and checking the area where my operation. Mr Gurjar is very professional but also has a compassionate side, he has a good way with people. I am very glad I chose Mr Gurjar as my surgeon.

I had nearly given up on therapists but then found Katharine, who has completely transformed my life. She is filled with such compassion, genuine empathy and understanding - I have learnt so much about myself through the therapy sessions. I feel this has truly saved my life. I don’t feel treated like a patient but as a unique and whole person. She is also very knowledgable and able to blend different modalities providing a tailored approach, which is exactly what I was looking for (and not a one size fits all approach). You would not regret seeking Katharine as a therapist, she is an amazing human being and psychologist.

Sam Wilde did an amazing job on my hip. I had a steroid injection and an extremely gloomy prognosis from the consultant with regard to osteoarthritis. Without Sam I would have gone into a deep depression! Sam talked me through a programme of rest post the steroid injection followed by a slow return to exercise with various adaptations. A year and a half later I am back to exercising 6 times a week with (so far) no issues other than the odd twinge from my hip. I am incredibly grateful and can't rate the treatment I got highly enough.

Miss Summerhayes is fantastic. She is very reassuring, friendly and knowledgeable. She has a terrific bedside manner, which eased the strss of my cancer treatment. Lyn Corlass keeps the process running smoothly and has always gone the extra mile to ensure that there was minimal waiting time for tests, treatments and appointments. Over all, they have made a very difficult time, much easier to deal with.
