Mr Zubair Al-Qassim

Unfortunately I did not have a positive experience with Mr Al-Qassim. To begin with, he was an hour late to my appointment and didn’t even offer an apology when I was finally called in. Within a few minutes he had stated he was discharging me from the hospital and wasn’t going to pursue any further tests because I was otherwise “young and healthy”. He did not have access to any of my GP records which he was very dismissive of and didn’t seem bothered by. Throughout the appointment when I questioned why I was having recurrent water infections (bearing in mind Mr Al-Qassum is a urologist) I was simply told it was “bad luck” and I would just have to keep taking antibiotics indefinitely. When I questioned this further and said I wanted to understand why this was happening he was rather sharp and stated “I’ve just told you it’s bad luck.” His tone was overall rude and dismissive and frankly made me feel uncomfortable given the intimate nature of my problem. It certainly did not feel like Mr Al-Qassim was interested in helping me.

The appointment itself was very positive. Dr. Robert Gordon was calm, validating, and genuinely listened. The room was quiet, warm, and set up like a cosy study, which made it feel safe rather than clinical. He explained the diagnostic impressions clearly at the end in a way that finally made sense, and it didn’t feel dismissive. I left feeling understood in a way I haven’t experienced with other services, although the level of positivity felt unexpected and left me a bit uncertain about how to interpret it. The only issue was the arrival process. My appointment was in the late evening, and reception was closed. It wasn’t clear where to check in, and I had no phone signal. I had to rely on Wi-Fi and the website photos to work out where to wait. Overall, despite the initial uncertainty about the building, the clinical experience was extremely positive. Everything went smoothly, and the assessment itself was very professional.

Ms Shikha did my surgery for full hysterectomy. It all went very well my recovery wasn’t that smooth after but soon after I got better with the help of shika and team constantly checking in on me and me being able to reach out. At a very stressful time. I haven’t really got words that praise shika enough. Her efforts for diognoses and the care since have been priceless. Already (and only a little after a week) I am seeing life changing results , having suffered 27 years day in day out. If I hadnt have gone that day for my consultation we would still be in the hellish life limbo dead end… thanks Shika my life ahead is looking brighter and the care and support from her is overwhelming. Fast and efficient xperience. However 10 mins before my lung biopsy going into theatre an extra £985 was billed to me for my lung function test which was never shown in the estimate for Portland place. Surely this cost is known before as I had and paid my £850 for my ct scan on the same day. How is this not shown on an estimate for My visit and sent me the morning of my surgery, utterly disappointed in the treatment and delay in informing me of this for such a short test of 20minutes. If I had known about this extra hidden cost of nearly £1000 I may have pulled out of the whole treatment as this has now depleted my savvings

I had a very positive experience at my recent doctor’s appointment. The staff were attentive, friendly, and truly made me feel cared for. I was especially impressed that the doctors themselves came to the waiting area to welcome their patients (shake their hands 🤝) and personally guide them to the examination rooms — a small gesture that makes a big difference. I also appreciated that I was offered help without having to ask repeatedly, which has unfortunately been my experience at my local GP in the past. Dr zgan was brilliant explained everything. Think he got a shock knowing a already had an operation on nose. And told me what had happened with thst healing process. While attending Dr zgan I had other issues going on and held back surgery until the other stuff got sorted which I knew would happen. The next day after operation the nose and ear was back to normal. The feeling I had had gone thankfully. Even explained ager surgery what he dad to do. Must say Dr zygan is brilliant doctor. Thank you very much Dr zgan appreciate what you did for me.
