I saw Mr Edward Ibrahim at Syon Clinic in Brentford to provide me with a second opinion after seeing a different consultant as my shoulder and arm pain worsened - and I didn't feel confident with the first consultant after the post-consultation communication I received. After a few visual tests and reviewing previous scans, Mr Edward Ibrahim immediately corrected the misdiagnosis I received from teh previous consultant. He identified the issue, explained the condition and proposed treatment in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. He was patient, answered all of the questions I had. I felt much more confident of the diagnosis. His secretary is polite, efficient and sends post consultation letters in a timely manner WITHOUT typos - which I did have from the first consultant. Since following Edward Ibrahim’s treatment plan (ultrasound guided hydro dilation with steroid to the left shoulder and ultrasound guided steroid to the right shoulder along with physio to both plus physio/shockwave therapy to tennis elbow), my condition has significantly improved and is continuing to improve. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Mr Edward Ibrahim. He has a calm, gentle and patient approach and allows time for you to discuss and ask questions.

Professor Deanfield is exceptional. I have been treated by several highly regarded cardiologists over the years, all of whom were very good. However, Professor Deanfield operates at a different level. He takes the time to listen carefully, ensures you feel fully understood, and explains complex medical issues in clear, simple terms that are genuinely easy to grasp. What truly sets him apart is not only his clinical expertise, but his manner. He is calm, thoughtful, and genuinely caring, which gives real reassurance at what can otherwise be an anxious time. Since coming under his care, my health has improved significantly, and I have felt consistently well supported throughout. The same can be said of his team. Mel and Serenity are both thoroughly professional, warm, and clearly care deeply about patients. Together, they create an environment that feels supportive, personal, and well organised, with an excellent bedside manner throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending Professor Deanfield and his team.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes on 4th December 2025 and l was discharged today, 12th January 2026. I'm so pleased to say l don't need to wear glasses or contact lenses any more. From start to finish, my experience at Freedom Vision Chelmsford was exceptionally good - and my end result is superb vision. - more than l could ever have hoped for. Colours are radiant and bright, and probably the biggest bonus for me is feeling so much more confident driving at night. After undergoing rigorous tests and scans , the actual procedure is very quick and painless. All the staff, without question were delightfully kind people and I'd like to thank them all individually, if only l knew their names. But in particular, l'd like to thank Nicola who guided me patiently and expertly throughout the whole procedure, and a massive thank you to Mr Hove , my surgeon, for being such a genius. If you are contemplating cataract surgery, l urge you to go for it - don't be scared - you won't regret it!

The cataract in my right eye, which had been quite noticeable, was operated on in the second week of November this year. The less advanced cataract in the left eye was dealt with a fortnight later. My second eye is still settling in, but my surgeon, Mr Park, appears to have produced an excellent overall outcome for me. Having discussed the options with Mr Park, I chose to have a lens in my right (dominant) eye which enables me to see at distance, whilst for the left, I have one which is more suited to closer work. I may need reading glasses for really close work, but using my computer screen presents no problem. Asking questions was encouraged and all queries were dealt with clearly. The staff, and particularly the opthalmic technicians, obviously knew what they needed to do in support of the surgical procedures and all was handled very efficiently. Special thanks to Nurse Debbie who was looking after me, a somewhat anxious patient, before and after the two operations.

Professor Plaha is an incredibly rare human being. Within 24 hours of my MRI scan being sent to him, he took responsibility for my care. The subsequent week, he met with me and guided me through my condition with a clear prognosis and a plan for treatment. He referred me onwards to other neurologists who were able to adapt my medication accordingly to ensure pre-operative stability. Along with his expert team, he operated to resect my tumour in a highly sensitive location with precision and success. He followed up after surgery with histology results and I have recently met with him at GenesisCare in Oxford, which promptly took place after my 3 month post operative MRI scan. In clinic, and as always - he exuded true warmth, humility, professionalism and integrity. He is a true specialist in his field and I am gracious to be under his care. Where anyone is looking for a true expert in his field in difficult and challenging circumstances, you must go no further.

My foot pain started in early May and I saw a Tyneside Integrated Musculoskeletal Service physiotherapist who recommended I buy a metatarsal pad which I found reduced the pain. However, Mr Qasim, in late August, ridiculed the pad and said he would send me to a Musculoskeletal Dept at Freeman where they (a technician and a health care professional, HCP) would, he gave me to understand, provide a custom orthotic. They gave me a standard reinforced insole that increased the pain during the breaking in period. By the time I saw them in mid-November, my straight second toe had become bent and resulted in a different difficulty in walking, and (likely as a result of this bend in the first toe joint, according to the HCP, a podiatrist) the metatarsal pain had largely subsided but I was left with an altered gait.

From the friendly welcome on reception on my first\every visit, through the countless appointments with orthodontics, prosthodontics, hygiene and x-ray, everyone and everything was spot on. The coordination and communication between the different departments through the course of my 17 months of treatment was super professional and the outcome is nothing sort of exceptional. Special shout out to Chris for getting my teeth in fantastic shape for the prosthodontics and to Photini for the wizardry she demonstrated with the rebuilding work. I was honestly lost for words when I seen my renovated smile for the first time. Just over 4 weeks post-op from a total laparoscopic hysterectomy with left salpingo-oophorectomy, and I am feeling massively relieved and happy. Mr Duncan is a rare find: a surgeon who combines elite technical skill with genuine compassion. From the initial consultation to the post-op follow-up (where he patiently helped remove surgical glue and reassured me about my pathology results), he has been professional and composed. He successfully navigated a tricky surgery that required more incisions than originally expected, yet my recovery has been faster and less painful than I expected. Thank you for giving me my peace of mind back! p.s.: Special mention to his admin team who has been incredibly helpful and efficient.

I had been considering eye surgery and attended Cathedral Eye Clinic to get a second opinion, having already spoken with a consultant in Dublin. Putting it simply, my experience in Belfast was far superior. The team at Cathedral ran a more comprehensive range of tests, assigned more time and personnel to my case, and were far better at talking through my options. In particular, I was very pleased that they were willing to give me their honest perspectives based on what they felt was best for me in the long run. Ultimately (based on their guidance), I decided not to go forward with any additional procedure at this time, but should I need treatment further down the line, I will not hesitate to go back to Belfast.

The staff at KIMS Hospital are truly amazing and incredibly friendly. Their professionalism and genuine compassion were unmatched by any experience I’ve had in NHS care. I felt supported, reassured, and well looked after from start to finish. Several people stood out during my stay: Amy in recovery, David, who prepared me for the epidural, Becky, my physio, and Mark, who handled my medication. My two nurses who cared for me around the clock were also outstanding — attentive, kind, and consistently reassuring. I honestly can’t fault any part of the care I received. Thank you to the entire team for making a daunting experience so much easier.

Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital Oxford

The Manor Hospital appeared clean, pleasant environment and staff were friendly. There is however one major issue - Car Parking. I nearly missed my appointment despite arriving 35 minutes prior. The car park does not appear adequate for the volume of patients and staff. A vehicle had been parked and blocked the car park, presumably because they thought were going to miss their appointment. This was resolved by creating a one way system which finally allowed me to, by luck, get a space. As an improvement it might be good if when booking, the booker tells the patient of possible alternative car parks in the area that they might have to use?

Dr Apostolos Konstantis

I have brilliant treatment and conversations with Dr. Konstantis. Since he became my oncologist a while back he has been and is excellent with me as his patient, I do not worry at all when visits for treatment are made and living with breast cancer and secondary bone cancer in my pelvis and sturngham I am so very confident with him, he is basically keeping me going and I really appreciate his time. He is very caring, compassionate, patient and when worried about anything, explains brilliantly so worries dispel. What a really super human being he is a star. Thank you so much for being my oncologist.

Had the most amazing time at Abbington House, was exactly what I needed. Was immediately made to feel welcome by staff and clients, everyone has been so warm, friendly and non - judgemental. Food was excellent and the chef Marion was amazing at catering for everyone’s individual needs. I’ve gotten so much out of the groups and one on one sessions. After 28 days I feel like I have been given an amazing framework to take with me on the outside and have met a community that will stay with me throughout the rest of my journey.
