Needless to say, the diagnosis came as a shock. From the very outset, **Professor Nikhil Vasdev** was exceptional. He fast-tracked seeing us, was calm, reassuring, and immediately inspired confidence. He listened carefully — not just to the clinical facts, but to us as people — and set out a clear, structured plan at a time when everything felt overwhelming. His manner with both me and my partner was outstanding; thoughtful, compassionate, and quietly authoritative. My cancer was aggressive and required surgery to ensure a cure. Throughout the process, Professor Vasdev was completely transparent without ever being alarmist. He fought hard to preserve both my continence and sexual function, and went the extra mile during surgery to maintain the nerve structures wherever safely possible. That level of care and skill has made an enormous difference to my recovery and quality of life. What truly set him apart was the way he managed the entire journey end-to-end. He coordinated all referrals — oncology, fertility, and beyond — and delivered what can only be described as a fully managed service. He recognised that we were in shock and removed complexity at every step, allowing us to focus on getting through it. Without underplaying the seriousness of having cancer, the speed, efficiency, and excellence of my treatment — and the rapidity of my recovery — has made the whole experience feel almost like a non-event. I know how fortunate I am that this was caught early and handled so exceptionally well. We will always be deeply grateful to Professor Nikhil Vasdev. His skill, leadership, and humanity have had a profound impact on our lives, and we remain indebted to him.

I had an acute pain in my right leg and had difficulty walking. Having had IDD treatment at Osteopath West before for sciatica I called and was given an appointment later that day. On arrival i was given a thorough examination and it was decided that I most likely had a pulled muscle as well as a nerve issue. I had some deep massage on my back and leg followed by an IDD session. The result today is that the pain is considerably better and i can now walk mush better than before. I am grateful for the prompt appointment and the service I received and would recommend Osteopath West to people in a similar position.

As always friendly, helpful and professional team. Had to wait for my appointment which was a little frustrating as had a taxi waiting. I understand there was an emergency that came in before me, but would have been nice to have been told so I could re organise my taxi. But that said the whole experience is great from start to finish. I would say though that filter coffee in flasks is not the best option for a good hospitality service for private patients? Bean to cups are so good these days I would suggest the flasks are replaced by these. The coffee each time I’ve been have been undrinkable.

My experience at the McIndoe centre was incredible. Throughout my surgery and stay the entire team were incredibly kind and caring. I was given plenty of reassurance prior to my surgery, everyone involved during my surgery was incredibly professional and the aftercare following my surgery was incredible. All of my nurses were incredibly kind and helpful and made the process so much easier. I had a great private room and bathroom, and the food was also great! Cannot recommend the McIndoe centre enough, they will be my first choice should I have any more procedures in future

Dr Fazal provided a thorough professional service and managed my expectations, I having presented post CT scan with a partial blockage to the LAD. The course of his investigation led to a stress test MRI which identified a positive outcome when compared to the earlier CT scan. This course of action gave me peace of mind and reduced the time it would take to have a definitive response to my problem , I am grateful for his very effective treatment.

Makes booking a lot easier rather than trying to find the time to call. He was very professional and then referred me to his colleague to carry out a sound test.
