I underwent surgery at the end of September to repair an umbilical hernia, core stomach muscle repair, tummy tuck and liposuction. Having met Matt the year before when he carried out a bilateral earlobe repair to my badly split earlobes, I had no hesitation in asking him for his help and advice again. Due to the hernia and muscle separation, not to mention the large overhang I had following a hysterectomy a few years ago, I plucked up the courage to go ahead with surgery and I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made. Three months on and already the results have superseded my expectations. I won't lie, I was scared stiff at the thought of such a major surgery, but after a couple of consultations prior to making a final decision, I felt completely reassured and certain that I wanted to go ahead. I was actually surprised how calm I felt on the day of surgery and I attribute this to Matt and his wonderful team at the Real Clinic, Battersea. My surgery was around 8.30am and I was home by 4pm that afternoon with Matt's mobile number in case of any worries or concerns. There is of course some pain and discomfort following any major surgery which I fully expected, but I was surprised that I only needed a combination of ibuprofen and paracetamol for the first few weeks. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Matt. He's a true genius and also very kind and genuinely caring of his patients. Thanks again Matt, you've totally changed my life. I look and feel better than I have for many years!

I had an amazing experience with Mr Harley from start to finish. I had an initial video call consultation which was free of charge and helped answer a lot of my initial questions around the process and what to expect. Booking my consultation was incredibly quick and easy and Jennie was very helpful. In my consultation Mr Harley answered all my questions incredibly well and really took the time to explain the process and also help me choose the correct implants. He explained all the different options and really took care to understand what I was hoping to achieve with my surgery. Surgery day itself was also great, the team at McIndoe were all incredibly kind and helpful and the whole team involved in my surgery were incredibly professional and reassuring. I chose to stay overnight following my surgery and was blown away with the quality of care I was given at the McIndoe centre. The food was also great! I was given everything I needed to be discharged and the nurses assured me that I could call if I had any issues following my discharge. The result itself has been incredible and I couldn’t be happier with it, it’s achieved exactly what I was hoping for and even exceeded my expectations. My healing process was incredibly easy and I was back to feeling myself within a few days. I cannot recommend Mr Harley and the McIndoe centre enough. Throughout the process I was put at ease and treated with such care and professionalism, and the result is better than I could have hoped for.

I'm still working with Karima, but I felt I wanted to share how much has shifted already. I came to therapy struggling with anger issues and relational trauma that was affecting every relationship in my life, particularly with my family. Karima has been brilliant at helping me understand where the anger comes from and, more importantly, how to work with it rather than being controlled by it. She's patient, non-judgemental, and has this way of helping you see patterns without making you feel criticised. The real measure of progress for me is this: I'm actually looking forward to spending Christmas with my family this year. In previous years, I'd dread it - the tension, the miscommunication, feeling misunderstood or easily triggered. But the work I've done with Karima has genuinely changed how I communicate with them and how I manage my reactions. I know I've still got work to do, but for the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful about my relationships and like I'm not constantly battling with myself. If you're struggling with anger or family dynamics, I can't recommend Karima highly enough.

Since moving to Bath in 2021 I have had a variety of treatments for sporting injuries with Sonja Bass, (Director and Lead Physio). Sonja is highly professional with a wealth of experience behind her. I have always received effective treatments and seen quick and positive results. She takes time to listen to concerns, and discuss treatment options and provides additional exercises that can be done easily at home. I had an acute pain in my right leg and had difficulty walking. Having had IDD treatment at Osteopath West before for sciatica I called and was given an appointment later that day. On arrival i was given a thorough examination and it was decided that I most likely had a pulled muscle as well as a nerve issue. I had some deep massage on my back and leg followed by an IDD session. The result today is that the pain is considerably better and i can now walk mush better than before. I am grateful for the prompt appointment and the service I received and would recommend Osteopath West to people in a similar position.

When I arrived at the hospital after travelling 1 hour 45 mins I was told the consultant I should have seen wasn't there😩The receptionist said maybe she could find someone else to help me?? That is when Dr Turab Syed stepped in.he was about to leave but took the time to see me. I found him very professional and friendly and easy to talk too🤗He examined me & asked lots of questions regarding my problem,I felt very at ease during the appointment.He suggested I get an MRI scan to find out more regarding my symptoms. Rob has been one of the key figures (along with Natalie) during my time at Abbeycare Gloucester. He has helped me to challenge my thinking, and see things with a different perspective. He has worked with me to move me forwards, rather than battering me into submission like other (not Abbeycare)rehab I went to. Rob has taken time to understand how I think and therefore act. All the therapeutic staff have helped me so much to feel able to cope with life outside of rehab.

Facility was excellent, nice and clean as well as lovely and quiet. Instructions weee clear, and the receptionist was extremely friendly, as were the nursing staff I saw. The surgeon I spoke to was excellent, everything was explained and he was more than happy to explain things in more detail if I required, and I didn’t feel pressured to leave, as if I was taking too much of his time. My overall experience was excellent, I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

I underwent a shoulder operation on the 17th November. I was treated with respect and kindness throughout: the room I was allocated for the day was clean, tidy and comfortable as was the bathroom. The post-operative tuna sandwich was delicious! All the staff were excellent, including admin staff, nurses, physios, anaesthetists and my surgeon, Mr Jahnich. The followup care has also been excellent, with especial praise to my physio, Chris.

He looked after me before and after surgery, asking questions about how my post-operative was going. Waiting over 60 minutes for an appointment that you schedule and pay for is quite poor. The excuse I got is gynaecologist appointments take longer. Okay, then play’ 30-60 mins between slots to allow for adequate timing. I had to get out of work and work the extra time that had I been offered the actual appointment time I wouldn’t have had to do that. Change your gynaecologist appointments calendar please
