Arrived early Saturday morning for a small knee operation. Taken to my room by a lovely friendly porter. Was invited immediately by catering to make a choice of food from an excellent menu. Then seen by nurses, anaesthetist, surgeon, who all explained exactly what was going to happen, in a relaxing manner, giving me complete confidence in their care. I was soon taken to theatre by the lovely chatty nurse & porter, that had been with me from my arrival. They obviously had a happy working relationship, including me in their chat to make me feel more relaxed. The anaesthetist was lovely, chatting about Christmas whilst calmly letting me drift into sleep. I woke up feeling well & refreshed, taken back to my room for a cuppa & delicious sandwich. The nurses continued their careful monitoring of me & I was soon seen by the physiotherapist who explained about the importance of my post-exercise sheet & use of crutches. Then a visit by Mr Slack, my amazing surgeon that had previously done my hip replacement, who explained what he’d done, that all had gone well, discharging me to go home & it’s only early afternoon. My painkillers arrive, my home instruction booklet is completed, I can go home. What fantastic care from all the staff & medical team, many thanks to you all.

I see Dr. Lil, who is absolutely amazing. She spent 30 minutes just listening to my history and my frustrations before ever laying a hand on me. I was so impressed with my results and Dr. Lil's gentle, knowledgeable approach that I even brought my 12-year-old son in for some sessions. She was fantastic with him—explaining everything in a way he could understand and making him feel comfortable and involved in his own health. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing we are both building a foundation for better posture and long-term wellness.

Before this I had worked with another physio for a year and as per my orthopaedic surgeon, Pure Sports Medicine was the last option before we attempt surgery. And right he was. Rebecca’s programme has completely stopped my pain, I can now use the stairs again, squat and even take on challenging hikes. I am slowly making my back to tennis even. Rebecca’s initial appointment on assessing my knee was more than just taking measures. She asked about my goals and what kind of physical activity I want to be able to so. She also factored in my mental health condition. I have never experienced physio with such a 360 approach. I feel confident in how to approach life going forward leaving the service and understanding my body better than ever.

Thoroughly impressed with The Harborne Hospital. The moment you walk in you know you’ve entered a place that really cares. Ultra clean, comfortable and welcoming. Every member of staff had a smile on their faces. As a designer I pay attention to detail and hats off to the person who decided to place Temple Spa scents in the waiting area. Made feel like I was in a 5 star hotel. Such a lovely and pleasant atmosphere. Totally forgot I was in a hospital.

The audiologist was very helpful and gave me a referral letter to see the Doctor and once the infection has cleared I could return to complete the wax removal . The Receptionist was welcoming , friendly and helpful from my first phone and on my two visits . Thank you

Best to make sure someone attends with you to ask the questions you might be to groggy to ask at the time. Would be nice if staff shared communication as I have frozen shoulder and I only had chance to tell the lovely Laura staff nurse who reasured me. Dr Ahmed introduced himself and Ruby too...I had to ask what they found and was given printed details at the end. Overall positive. Thank you!
