She is clearly very passionate about helping women with this unique problem and is also at the forefront of treatment options and solutions to get people back to being happy and healthy again! After years of feeling frustrated, confused and at a complete loss as to what to do next, within 45 minutes with Emily I had a full treatment plan and reassurance that she'd be there for me until we had the right solution. If I could give her 6 stars I would, she’s one in a million and by far the best experience I’ve ever had with a medical professional.

Six weeks after my second hip replacement with Mr Gavin Love, I’m walking unaided, sleeping comfortably, and — best of all — no longer living with the grinding pain of arthritis. The only thing left hobbling is my memory of what life was like before the operation! This was Gavin’s second time working on my hips (he did the first one six years ago, which is still going strong), so I knew I was in excellent hands. His calm, confident manner and clear communication made a potentially daunting experience remarkably easy. He’s not just a highly skilled surgeon — he’s also reassuring, kind, and has the sort of calm presence that makes you feel like everything’s going to be alright. And it is. A big thank you also to Mr Matthew Cheketts, my anaesthetist, who I suspect could put someone at ease even before the sedatives kick in. Everything about the surgical experience was professional, safe, and smooth. The staff at Kings Park Hospital were wonderful from start to finish — attentive, friendly, and always ready with a smile (and, thankfully, the occasional cup of tea). They made what could have been a very clinical stay feel more like a stay with extended family — only better stocked with painkillers. In short, if you’re facing hip replacement surgery, you won’t find a better team. Gavin Love is, quite literally, a name to remember — especially if you want to walk away pain-free and wondering why you didn’t do it sooner.

I was referred to Genesis by the NHS consultant oncologist to receive radiotherapy and hormone treatment for for my diagnosed advanced prostate cancer. I was seen very quickly at the Newmarket (Cambridge) branch of Genesis. The facilities are modern with state of the art CT and radiotherapy equipment. At all times the staff of all disciplines and specialties were extremely helpful and understanding. After 4 weeks (20 sessions) of radiotherapy my regular attendance finished. However I will continue to have regular reviews there with the oncologist and be given the specialist hormone therapy and other pills to be taken for 2 years. Another impressive feature at Genesis is the inclusion of gym sessions under personal guidance from two expert trainers. This is most helpful in countering the muscle loss resulting from hormone therapy. I am continuing with these sessions for some weeks after completing my treatment. In summary, Genesis Care has provided the highest possible standard of specialist cancer treatment and I would strongly recommend this organisation when radiotherapy treatment is needed.

This whole experience has been rubbish. One of the questions asked if I had ever had polyps, which I had but 15 years ago, and because I clicked yes, recommended me as not suitable for screening...a lot can happen in 15 years, and it didn't ask me how long ago it was. The form was clunky to use and complete. In the results letter it said if I still wanted screening despite my results, to go to my results page. However when I went to that page it gave no options to select screening. It showed a Submit button on the results page, but would not let me proceed as I had not selected a service, however there were no services to select. The results letter gave me a link asking for feedback, either a quick survey or a detailed survey. When I clicked the detailed one it came up with an Error404 message. When I clicked the quick survey, it asked me questions about recent visits, were the staff friendly, was the practice clean etc, instead of asking any questions about my experience with the recent cancer screening survey...they were completely irrelevant.

I started TRT last July at a point when I was struggling significantly with fatigue, anxiety, and poor sleep. Since beginning treatment, all of those areas have improved dramatically, and the difference in my overall wellbeing has been genuinely life changing. A large part of that is down to Chris and the environment he has created at Urban TRT. Throughout the process he has monitored my progress closely, explaining results clearly and adjusting treatment thoughtfully where needed. Needed a routine hernia operation, didn't want to wait 4–6 months, chose Royal Free Private Patients based on surgeon's online profile and because profits go to NHS; also I have been an NHS patient at RF. Was seen quickly for initial consultation and got surgery appointment when I wanted it. Mr Iype did a tidy job of the surgery, I am now recuperating with no complications so far and very little pain. Anaesthetists were friendly and efficient, and Severo my nurse in my ward was helpful, reassuring and friendly. I had a ward room to myself, which my wife could stay in while I had the surgery. It was clean and roomy, though a little cold – take extra blankets. The lunch I was given after surgery was pretty good, and they were able to get a sandwich for my wife too as well as teas and coffees. All in all, went very well.

Harley Street Specialist Hospital

Hospital was dirty. Room was dirty. Was provided with a pillow that was fully stained yellow on one side with no pillow cover. One of the nurses saw it when he turned it over but I had already been lying on it for hours. Went to the surgery without any pillow only to wake up to another stained pillow without any cover. Found a toenail on the bed. Very unhygienic and was not comfortable. Staff were ok. Food received was not what I ordered, so left without eating anything. Will only be coming back for my second operation because it is the surgeons only practice that is close to where I live, otherwise would not be returning. Hygiene is most important in these environments and it was not to par at all. Worse than NHS.

Steve is excellent. Personable and very professional and clearly knows his stuff. He operated on our son following a shoulder dislocation playing rugby. Throughout the process, Steve was clear with the surgical options and very thorough in his explanations, particularly understanding with the emotions of a teenager and his desperation to be back on the pitch again. He has a friendly manner and was always quick to answer extra questions we had between consultations. He did an excellent surgical job on our son and we’d have no hesitation in recommending him. I found Mr Thakur to be a very personable, professional and knowledgeable neurosurgeon. He not only diagnosed the cause of my symptoms but offered clear explanations to me of my difficulties and his recommended treatment. I was in great pain on a daily basis and he ensured that I was operated on as quickly as possible. The operation has been a complete success. After just 2 months rehab, I am back to be able to walk for an hour a day, rejoin my Pilates classes and throw away the painkillers. Plus the scar has healed amazingly well. My surgery took place there and had to stay overnight due to vertigo and dizziness. The hospital was friendly, new and pristine. The nursing staff outstanding as well as of course the medical team. I had dinner and breakfast and it was also healthy and delicious. Yesterday I returned to have the dressing removed and it was equally good. If any criticism would be to the pharmacy with a 30minute wait to get my prescription and also despite being a Bupa hospital not having the availity to charge Bupa for medication- I am under Bupa Global and in other Bupa hospitals this is the case.

I cannot thank him enough for the support and help he has given me so far, as I have felt previously that I have not been listened too when discussing my condition. I had a frozen shoulder for about nine months when I met Dr. Patnaik. I was in a lot of pain and had restricted movement in my right arm. But Dr. Patnaik was very positive. Explained next steps clearly which was an injection. Four months on and I have full movement in my shoulder and can now go about my daily life. The injection coupled with physiotherapy have been a game changer. I highly recommend Dr. Patnaik to anyone suffering from shoulder pain. Suffering in silence is not a solution.

I think the Doctors Lounge is such a great personal investment. You are able to see a doctor quickly, they have all your notes in front of them and have excellent referal doctors should you need further support. I cannot recomend Dr. Nik Chopra and his team more highly. It also means you take pressure off your local GP who can then spend their time with patients who need to use the NHS service. Think outstanding service and value for money.

Dr Hassan made me feel as if I was being”Heard”. He listened to my concerns and was very professional in explaining his diagnosis. He showed me my CT scan results and explained the medical issues in layman’s terms. My wife was in the consulting room with me and he listened to her and she was very much part of the consultation.
